Hotel Kalpa Deshang

Probably the best place to stay at Kalpa. Most rooms have a spectacular mountain view. Beds are comfortable though might be short if you're taller than 180 cm. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is somewhat limited if you want to visit some shops or other places to eat. It might be important for some that there's an open area that could be used by 7-9 people for yoga practice or something like that. We stayed here with a group of 12 people and found this place filling out needs quite well. Thank you so much!

We stayed at Kalpa Deshung for two days in July 2023. The view from the common terrace and rooms were mind boggling and breathtaking.
The rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean, house keeping service was also provided and geyser was in proper working condition.
However, coming to the fooding department it had few issues. Quality of the food and buffet was good but the timings were improper. They have a fixed time within which you have to finish your meals. So be cautious about it if you are booking this property. During your holidays you tend to break the daily routine and take exceptions. We requested the food to be delivered at our rooms but they refused to do so as well. This caused some inconvenience to us. Otherwise everything is very good. Also, the entrance to the hotel needs improvement specially if you are travelling with family persons who are age old.

This place has both Rooms and Dorms. The hotel is a 5 mins walk from Kalpa centre/bustand/temple. The people who run this and the staff here will make sure you feel homely. And oh, did I already mention about the breathtaking view of Kinner Kailash from the balcony!?

Extremely beautiful view from the balcony of the rooms. A glimpse of kinnar kailash one of the panch kailashas can be seen from the hotel. The buffet dinner was extremely tasty and so many dishes were served including shahi paneer, dal makhni, aalu gobhi with rice and chapati, papad, salad and sweet dish were also there. Same was for breakfast oats, poha, milk and cornflakes, sandwiches, paranthas and omelette with tea and coffee both options were served. The hotel has neat and clean rooms beautiful flower pots kept in the common balcony and bathrooms also were super clean. Without a doubt you can book this place. Mr parikshit who manages all hotel activities is a very down to earth and cooperative person. Me and my family were so happy with our stay here and would highly recommend this place.

We didn’t found it suitable due to staff behaviour… staff and authority seems very childish with a not appropriate body style (may be drunken) ….

This is the best place to stay in kalpa if we talk about the view you’ll not get the best view of whole kalpa village from your room and they have good balconies spacious rooms with heated blanket and soft mattresses the food is really good. And the most important thing which i liked about this property is the staff members they are amazing they treat their guest in a good way and they have good communication skills.

Prickshit was a fantastic host couldnt of done anymore for me.he took me on a tour of the town and offered his help with planning my journey.the food was fantastic and the property has amazing views

I would like to say this is a great place for staying in kalpa village. Staff are very helpful I am a solo traveller. I am staying here for one day everything was comfortable accordingly to my need. Staff are very helpfull.

This place 'Kalpa Deshang' is very awesome and beautiful. The paintings, quotes and photos gives depth to stay there. The view of' Kailash Shivlinga' was beyond words, I did meditation and it gave me divine experience. The food quality, service and cleanliness was good. Taking good memories with me. Thank you and best wishes for all staff members.

Refused to refund the money. Absolutely rude and not willing to listen to the client. Unsafe to stay with such incorrigible people. It doesn’t look like a hotel at all.  It’s a home.

I am a solo trivlar and I enjoyed this place very much. Staff are very helpful and survives are very good and the manager Prikshit Thakur is very kind and helpful.

Food was pretty bad; like uncooked aloo mutter. If you cant cook that then what to say. Otherwise location was great and view looking at kinner kailash was awesome. Rooms were clean but has very basic facilities

I went here in November 2021 on the Spiti Expidition and leading a group of 7 guests, sponsered by Uncia Trails.

We were supposed to come Kalpa on our last day of our trip but due unforseen circumstances we came here on very first day of our trip in night 10pm around. However, we were not expecting any stay and dinner at late night but here the staff managed everything for 10 people very quickly. They helped us with luggage to the rooms and provided all basic amenities at night.

I am very glad to visit here and meeting Negi uncle was the blessings. Would love to stay again here if I will visit Kalpa in future.

Main attraction is the view from this hotel of Kinnaur Kailash changing it’s colour with the sun rays from morning till evening.

I would like to say this is a great place for staying in kalpa village. They are very helpful. I am a solo traveler. I am staying here for 3days. Everything was comfortable accordingly my need.

The room was very clean. The kalish range view seeing from the hotel room mesmerizing. The food was also very tasty and delicious. And they were very poliet

Pathetic staff and food. We ordered Gobhi masala and gobhi was served raw and tasteless.when we complained about it no apology and no alternate was provided. They call it Hotel Deshang but it's actually homestay as it is run by owner and his relatives. They need training in hospitality and customer service.
