Hotel Old Monk

I can say without doubt this is the best hotel i have ever stayed, there hospitallity is just the best, aunty over there make sure u are comfortable and you served good food. The food taste like home made food tasty. A must recommend place to stay. Thanks a lot for wonderful service and hospitality

We got a beautiful room with Mountain View.
The host lady was always very sweet and welcoming. It seems like it is really import to her that her guest do not go to bed hungry. Her Curd is absolutely amazing and my favourite. The food was always very tasty and fresh, some ingredients of it coming from their own garden. Thank you for making our stay in Kaza so pleasant.

Good stay at spiti, enjoyed very much, close to market and petrol pump. It's very accessible place in spiti

Comfortable stay and homely food.

Old monk kaza is a well maintained property at a walking distance from the kaza market. Rooms on the second floor are spacious clean and cozy. The property is run by a family where aunty serves hot and steamy breakfast. Her paranthas were out of this world. She serves the food herself and ensures there is minimum wastage of food which is very necessary at such extreme location. She treated the guests as family

Very neat and clean rooms with large and hygienic bathrooms. Wonderful view from the corner rooms. When you visit Kaja you should stay here. Aunty herself cooks very well but if you want to try local restaurants then also main market is 5-6 min walk from here.

Good hotel and good host. We found this more of homestay and not a hotel. Nevertheless we had good time.

Hosts with their kindness will make your tiredness wash away. Good healthy food is catered here. Nice rooms.

The hotel has been recently renovated and it's now one of the best hotels in Kaza. It's near to market, the food and hospitality is amazing, the owner (aka aunty) serves food by herself and makes sure that you're eating healthy and tasty. Do try their poha in breakfast and aloo-gobhi in lunch/dinner.

Rooms are very good and Beautiful views. Hospitality is very Good. They will treat like a family members. Feels like a family. Highly recommended for family and friends.

Anyone who is going to Spiti specially in winters should definitely go and their hospitality.
Owners treat tourist as their family member. Its the best place to stay in kaza.
In cold winters, despite lack of water resource, they somehow manage to provide you hot water in abundance and the food (aloo parantha, special chutney etc) is something that would hold you to stay for as long as possible.

I have never experienced such hospitality in past, we felt like we were at home.

It's a home, made by it's wonderful hosts who make sure Spiti cold would only leave warm memories. Their homemade delicious authentic food is to live for while their Bukhari is a God send in those cold evenings.

Very beautiful scenery around the hotel, but the best part is hotel is neat & clean and hotel staff specially hotel owner and his wife treats tourist as their family member

The hospitality, the home made food, rooms were not necessarily full equiped but they cave came a long way for the last 16 yrs there main moto is Helping the persons in need and support them what ever they got in them.

Owners are really hospitable and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Aunty's kitchen and the food she prepares is really homely and makes you remember your mother. Would really recommend this place while in Kaza.

Amazing place and Super amazing host. The owners made the stay super comfortable. They have a nice, clean and hygienic place.
Also they do provide with delicious breakfast and the service is superb.

The best stay you will get in Kaza. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. It is a hotel but it has a feeling of a homestay. I will recommend anyone who comes here to stay here as aunty will treat you like your own family and will help you in whatever you need. Just remember, keep the rooms clean as she is particular about that!

Amazing hosts. Personally looked after the guests. Nothing fancy but a nice clean hotel with clean bathrooms. Pleasure to stay here. More homely than a few fancier hotels around. A little away from the main market.

I visit Kaza quiet frequently and undoubtedly this is the best place to stay. Tasty food, courteous staff. It is quiet near to market so commute to market is quiet easy.

The name caught our eyes ;). The place was pretty decent and we'll maintained.of course not the best you can get in Kaza but pretty good at the tariff they charge.
The rooms are pretty big.they also have sitting area on each floor with couch and tables.this is good to have a great time with friends and family.
There is a terrace on the top which is open.a good place for star gazing or for taking long exposure shots.
Don't have any complains about the staff as well.
