Hotel Rakpa Regency

Brilliant location in Kalpa, with rooms having direct view of the valley. The morning view was so calming and pleasant. Food preparation was also great and rooms were decent.

Felt like we were living in a hostel with a warden. Made us go into our rooms even before bon fire was finished.

It was an amazing experience while we were staying in Hotel Kalpa Regency from 08.11.22 to 09.11.22 for great view of Kinnar Kailash, good food and good hospitality.

The drive up to the hotel the roads are pretty narrow, which poses a risk of damage. A good view of Kailash Kinnaur is visible from the hotel.

Rakpa Regency is probably the best hotel location wise in Kalpa. You can see the panoramic view of Kinnaur Kailash Cluster from here as there is no obstruction around the hotel. Though it need some more maintenance, but if you want to cherish the natural beauty of the Kailash you must have to stay here.

2) Food
3) Room
4) location and mountain xiews

Bad behaviour of reception person and management.
Provide standard room instead of delux room (booking was in delux room). After lot's of argument we got room as per our booking.
Bad taste of food with no option.most funniest part is they served egg in dinner.no other non veg item.
Room Condition and bathroom condition is very poor.bathroom is full of water on floor with very bad smell.if possible avoid this hotel

Only location and view is good. Otherwise food, room, toilet condition is pathetic. They don't provide even a single piece of soap. Toilet floor is full of water and very bad smell. Doormats are full of dirt and dust.and food. Most pathetic, bad taste with no options. In dinner there was only one piece of egg curry. No other non veg option.
Most pathetic part was, our booking was in delux room. They provide one delux and one standard room. When we protest, they (specially reception person) became violent and started to show unnecessary rules. After lots of harassment they provide two similar room.
Reception person is very ill mannered. Even after his rude behavior he got full support from management /Mr. Somnath. He need to learn how to behave with guests.
So be aware of this hotel.

I stayed here based on devil on wheels recommendation and was very happy I made the choice. The views from rooftop are breathtaking on a clear day and food was very delicious and was beyond my expectations. The hotel staff are very helpful and are always available to answer any travel related queries. I would definitely stay here again

Possibly the hotel with best view in the Kalpa. Stayed there for 2 memorable nights and was delighted by the service. Rooms are good and has some spectacular view of Kailash. Owner, manager and staffs are very well mannered and always ready to help. Food was delicious too.

A nice hotel to enjoy the massive view of Kinnaur Kailash at Kalpa. The staffs were good. The rooms were clean and quiet good. The only thing they lack is the taste in food.

Oh the views from this hotel! And the food the provide! And the friendly staff! And this super cute village of Kalpa! In love with this place. A must must must visit for nature lovers. Kinner kailash range is visible from this village, the sunrises and sunsets are surreal.

Well, the experience of our stay at the hotel was mixed. The accommodation was fairly great with magnificent views. The rooms were nice and clean.

However we faced issues with shortage of water. But we can't complain regarding this, because, when we brought this into the notice of the management, they immidiately helped us out with bucket of waters. So that solves our purpose.

Except the stunning views of Kinnaur Kailash and Parvati from the balcony, another thing that stands out is the behaviour of the management and staffs. Everyone is very helpful, co-operating and welcoming.

Even after all these I'm deducting 1 star just because of the food. This is something where they need huge improvement.

Only view from hotel is good. Rest all things are worst. Firstly hotel is not maintained properly. Geyser was not working, in Bathroom flush was not working. Moist were present in the room. Food was ok. Property not well maintained. Thought view of Kinnar Kailash was awesome.

It is owned by Bengali owner and the staffs are also Bengalis. So it could be a favourite stay for Bengalis in Himachal Pradesh.

We stayed in room 307 on first floor of Rakpa Regency in Nov. The room has a very clear and upfront view of Kinnaur Kailash and Parvati peak directly front the room. The staff had provided us with enough quilts and sheets to keep us warm during the negative temperatures. The room was covered in green carpet so our feet didn’t feel cold even when we walked barefoot. They have separate dining hall and the food they’d served us was very up to the mark and tasty. The hotel has a very beautiful garden and there are seats and tables in the garden for one to enjoy a cup of tea while watching the majestic Kinnaur Kailash view. The location of the hotel is also unparalleled. The hotel is surrounded by apple gardens. The staff and manager had been very kind and friendly with us. Just happy with the experience we’d there.

Poor management. They gave one towel for three persons. Poor quality food provided.dont book this hotel for better view.there is no charging point in room for mobile phone charging. Tv is not working.absolutely rubbish hotel.they gave very dirty pillow. They didn't provide minarel drinking water. Very very very bad service.

Good rooms, clean areas, superb location. Only entrance is somewhat risky due to heavy slope with big drainage in center of the road.

This hotel doesn't deserve even single star, worst hotel I have ever seen in m life worst hospitality, rooms looks like haunted house, they don't have sence of welcoming guest worst food, I would not suggest anyone to go their.
