Hotel Uttarayan

A quiet place in between maddening crowd that Chitkul pulls. The rooms may not be family compatible. There are better places in chitkil and rakhchamm but for solo or quiet couples this can be a great place. The food and the hosts are very very warm. I pray loud tourists spare this place else it will also become like Chitkul. The villagers are slightly hostile towards travellers (I don't blame them, have you seen how insufferable DL, HR and CHD people are when they are travelling? Anyway. It was memorable trip for me and partner.

Spacious rooms with basic facilities, spacious bathroom with geyser. Food was of great taste. Recently I had stayed there for a family tour. The owner took us to his apple orchard. There is small parking space also. The hotel is located at Batseri. Overall excellent hospitality.

We were here on Diwali 2022. We were welcomed with delicious food and late night accompanied us while we burst crackers till mid night. And in the morning we got the most delicious parathas and bread toast with ginger tea. Took us for a short tour of the village and gifted us at least 4 kgs of apples. I would definitely recommend visiting this stay.

What a spectacular location! Good delicious food, good cozy rooms, and most importantly, they offered a tour to their own apple orchard, and plenty of apples to eat.

This property is nestled right in middle of Batseri village.
With enough parking, inside your property (which looks rare In this village) this place is perfect for a budget traveler.
Rooms are decently sized even for a family for 3/4 with spacious washrooms.
Blankets and linen provided are clean.
Coming to the food.it's something to die for.their cook Alinder is amazing.food is freshly prepared and served. Don't miss his kheer, mixed veg and Bhindi sabjee.
His food in this cold climate is all you need before a good night sleep

Special mention - owner Anil Negi.he is one of the best hosts I have met till date. Personally takes care of guests like his own family. He is Very courteous and cheerful.
He checks on the food that's served and
your comfort too
He even invited us for a walk in his apple farm.

One heads-up- if traveling with a bunch of hungry ppl, give him a call in advance with your meal requirements. Chef cooks and serves fresh food and this would give him enough time to create his magic.

Rooms are large, good ambiance and the best part is the hospitality of the owner. Location and weather is awesome as well.

My family and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Hotel Uttarayan. The owner Jaichand is a gem of a person. He welcomed us at an ungodly hour and also came all the way to the village bridge to bid us goodbye.

The rooms are well-furnished and clean. The food served at the restaurant is delicious and the service is top-notch. Jaichand owns apple orchards in Sangla Valley and takes you on a farm tour if you are interested. Take my word. Don’t miss the tour!

The hospitality and food here is up to the mark. The hotel is nestled in a quiet place, you can also go for a morning Trek or riverside stroll.

It's located at a short distance from the Bhadrinarayan Temple in the Batseri village.

There are many apple orchards in the vicinity including that of the owner of the hotel.

Despite power cut due to snow storm, they had power backup to sustain some lights in the rooms and a few power points at the reception to keep your phones charged.

Overall we had a great experience there.

We were in Hotel Uttarayan Sangla for two nights. The owner along with the caretaker man had given us the best stay. The rooms were spacious along with the washrooms. We were served great quality food with lots of care and love. The owner Mr. Negi took us to show his Apple Orchards and the temple adjacent to it. The view from the hotel is out of this world. Time stops once you reach this hotel. One of the best stays we had in Himachal. Thank you so much.

Excellent stay during 2019. We were 6 friends and got not place to stay, so the owner helped us to stay in their accommodation and served us delicious homemade food. The view across the valley is amazing and local trek across the village is like soothing and rejuvenating. Temple in the middle is beautiful and must visit spot for those who visit this place.

Picturesque location, very supportive staff, amazing food, neat and clean rooms what else do we want. All though being in such a remote place the hotel made best possible arrangements for us.the staff was on their toes. The food was freshly made and very tasty.would definitely recommend this place. They had very good cook.

This hotel is located in beautiful village having old Buddhist temple, Badri Narayan temple, nice wooden houses and small jungle. Hotel rooms are neat and clean with comfortable mattress. Food quality and personal hospitality of Mr. Negi is commendable. View of hills from roof of hotel is mesmerizing. Highly recommended for stay on the way to Chitkul.

Had a great time staying @ Uttarayan (butseri). Good hospitality. Mr Jaychandji himself loaded our luggage in his car as there was a land slide and the road was closed. Food was yummy and service excellent. Rooms spik & span. Lovely view from terrace.
