It's in the main market of Mcleodganj and is beautifully done up. The ambience is warm and very welcoming. Food, ofcourse, is great. I honestly likes their Indian Menu/ food items more. For instance, simple Paranthas/ Stuffed Chapatti in breakfast was amazing. Overall, the service was quite quick and efficient. The Hospitality is up to the mark. At night, there's live music and such a peppy atmosphere with happy people around enjoying food, hookah, women etc. The only thing that concerns me is the alcohol pricing here. It was quite expensive compared to other restaurants/ pubs. One must visit here once atleast. Happy Holidays Guys. Have a great time in Mcleodganj, just like I did. God bless?
Nice atmosphere with a good view. Staff were very friendly and the food was amazing, you could tell it was made with love. Thank you House of Tibet and thank you Tenzin for your warm welcome and friendly personality:)
I was hugely disappointed from this restaurant. One of the things I ordered is what you see in the photo. It was average, and I have had it before at multiple other places. Other items were disappointing as well. The staff and their attitude was extremely rude, I would probably never eat here again.
It has the perfect Indian food. The chicken thukpa was also a must try. Best experience so far. The staffs were so friendly and easy going. Especially Mr Sandeep and rishu.
The food is delicious and of decent quantity. Wide range of cuisines with Tibetan and Bhutanese specialities. Serves hard drinks as well. Ambience is decent, space gets cramped if there is full crowd. Visited mostly by tourists, hence gets noisy. They have live music on certain days which was a bit loud for my liking. Overall a good place.
Been to this place for lunch. Had Thenthuk and Special Thukpa. Both of them were very delicious and the food was promptly served.
Since we were new to this cuisine, we were asking questions about the dishes to the server but he wasn't able to completely answer them, just one less star on the service aspect for this.
All in all, great restaurant to come dine in if you already know about the Tibetan cuisine.
Worst cafe in McLeodganj, there alot of better options then this over hyped place. Service was slow and food was expensive yet disgusting in taste. I will suggest to visit Tibet's kitchen, The Network or Jimmy's Italian cafe rather than visiting this over hyped cafe.
I visited HOT on New Year's eve. The prices were a bit high but they are justified as this is located in the main square. The food tasted bland. 4/10 Paneer Lababdar 7/10 Kadhai Paneer 8/10 Butter Tandoori Roti The cocktails and drinks were also costly. L. I. T.cocktail - ₹500
One of the worst pizzas and the worst staff in such a place. Had much higher expectations. Cheese was not eatable at all. We left the pizza like that and went away. Please guys go somewhere else.
Good enough exp... Recommended for a wonderful eveving with variety of delicious food & live music… one star less to keep volume in optimum levels so that public can listen to each other atleast
Bad experience. We ordered a Thupka and Chilli chicken. Both weren't up to the mark. Cuts of the Vegetables are really bad and the Seasoning in Thupka and Chilli chicken was not good.
Located in the main square on 1th floor, House of Tibet is my favourite place to spend the evening on the terrase with a good drink. Food is great, you must try the sauteed vegetables. Staff is friendly and polite, the place is decorated with beautiful art pieces and statues. Must visit when you are in McCleod Ganj.
Disclaimer: We did not try the Tibetan food available here, so please do not refer to this review for the same.
Nothing we ordered here was what it was supposed to be. We ordered pancakes and got pretty bad crepes, ordered hash browns and got boiled potatoes. The justification we got for both these things was “This is how we make it here. ” Even the English breakfast we ordered was extremely disappointing. Either they need to learn how to make the things they have mentioned in their menu, or they need to change the names of things mentioned in their menu.
Do not order any of the European or Continental options available here. Definitely would not recommend this place for it.
So recently I called them up and asked if they could deliver it to my location which is not very very far from their cafe. I had no other option for dinner and it was late night for me to travel. I also clearly mentioned them that I would pay for the petrol as well. They clearly denied, even though I mentioned them I have nothing else to eat. Infact they were more concerned about them making money and replied only if you order above 700 bucks we'd accept your order. Like, seriously? I'm ready to pay for food ready to pay extra for the delivery yet you denied. I'm not even a tourist, I'm from Dharamshala itself. No matter how good your food is. Is this how you treat and handle your customers? Is there some sense of shame or humanity left. Like you're okay with a person to starve but you're not okay with not making money is it? Shame! Never gonna visit here ever again and never gonna recommend any of my tourists or anyone about your cafe!
Awesome place, lively music by musicalsoulsband, had a great evening…. I have to say, I enjoyed every single moment there…great staff and food.n hookah M glad I came here with my friends.it was our last night here and they made every single moment worth it ️️️
Worst service ever! Had to wait more than 50 minutes for an incomplete Veg platter. The waiter mentioned the chaap was missing but never bothered to bring it even on asking. Would not even give 1 star.
One of the best Restaurant of McLeodgunj. All the preparations are really Good. It's in the heart of Main square. (Do try the Tandoori Momos they are amazing)
Phenomenal experience. Top notch food, atmosphere, and wait.the staff. Have been here multiple times, and every time is an amazing experience all around.great drinks and cuisine is ummmmmm.always take my out of town guests here, as the food is always superb. Definitely a lifetime customer!
Half of the items were unavailable, the rest were horrific in taste. The only good item was Thukpas. That's it. Only visit if Nick's and Jimmy's are closed.
Ambiance was good but food was worst even asked that waiter to get it changed but he got that same dish back and said we cook it same way, didn’t expect that from this place
The place has a washroom but the cafe administration chooses to deny its access to the customers who buy their overpriced drinks. Not a very friendly behaviour. This behaviour would have been acceptable only if the washroom door lead to the 'Chamber of Secrets'. 1 star experience.
Great experience, great ambience, great food what else do we need. Had an amazing experience here and behaviour of staff as well. Keep up the good work.
The interiors were eye soothing and ambience was good to be enjoyed by everyone. I ordered their Shakes and to be honest the Shakes were not great for the price there were charging. Not for budget travellers.
Food was mediocre. Took 50 min to get a basic sandwich for the kid. No bathroom - which is sad as the Public restroom nearby is beyond words. Good ambience and clean otherwise.
Nice and aesthetic place. Decently diverse range of food items and cuisines. Disappointed by the unprofessional staff who weren't well versed with the menu. The view out of the window of the main square is good. I tried their Vegetarian Phing (glass noodles) they were excellent and tasted brilliant. The coffee was good too. The tea however was not great and the waiting staff weren't aware of what flavours were in stock and brought the tea bag packages instead. Wanted to have a cake with my tea but when I asked the staff (as mentioned in the menu) they told me about pancakes. Sad, but I had a good laugh.
