It's nice. Some of the things in the room are dated but rooms are big and parking is ample which is the biggest positive. I go there for seemless parking experience

In case you are planning to visit Dharamshala - McLeod Ganj Just book it! Almost all the tourist places are in McLeod Ganj and are at walkable distance. The ropeway is at walking distance you can easily visit Dharamshala in a matter of 15 mins. Great place and so is the food and service.

Perfect hotel. Sry it's not a hotel but a resort actually in the middle of mcleodganj with such open space and plenty of parking. Beautiful rooms with view & clean. In fact it is better than 4 stars. My first stay in a govt hotel as earlier I only preferred 3 or 4 star hotels but this was much much better. So clean sheets, bathrooms & quality of food in the restaurant was wow. It was like home cooked & fresh.
Best hotel with all amenities like parking, view, greenery, open space, food in the middle of mcleodganj and all this at such a reasonable price.
The staff is so nice. I expected govt staff won't pay heed to our demand but they were so courteous and professional.

Negatives about the hotel:
Literally only 3 I have
1) Mattresses were soft and I'm accustomed to hard so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable for me.
2) No fridge in rooms even the highest priced ones.
3) No electric kettle as well but u can carry ur own in advance if u know they don't have one.

Stayed with family in a Deluxe Room for 3 nights in May'23. Rooms are very good. Service and behaviour is excellent. Food quality is superb. Price of food is high and should be looked into. Overall excellent hotel for family trip.

One of the best located property in MacLeodGanj, walking distance from His Holiness temple. Food and service is also good

The Hotel is situated at a quaint place in Mc leodganj. The staff is super helpful. We stayed here wit our toddler and they immensely supported in all our needs from getting milk timely to preparing baby food. The food is tasty and well served. I really liked cheese omelette although iam not much of an egg lover. We stayed at the cottage and its surrounding was beautiful.

Very good hotel, if you take huts then their service is slow and limited, in rain they provide 1 time service in 24hrs.

An old, state owned hotel located pretty close the main Mcleodganj market area. A bit away from all the hustle bustle. Very basic offerings but nice and clean rooms, especially super deluxe and above. Great staff! Decent food options. And more often than not, weather is great! Given the prices, it offers a great value for money. And location and staff adds further value. Had a comfortable stay with family. Visited in March 2023.

Located just in the heart of Mcleodganj, 5 minute walk from main square. Beautiful rooms and hotel, ample parking space. Although not great view from rooms. Only delux one has valleys view, others are mostly trees or hotel areas and garden. Food is average, it used to be good (2016) but I guess chefs are changed now. Service is very good and staffs are very cooperative. But overall a great place to stay in Mcleodganj.

The hotel is located in main market mcleodganj which is a prime location. All the cafes and shops are at walking distance. The Property has large sitting area outdoor and parking space. The interior of the hotel room is old school no fancy stuff. The appliances are just working. I went there in December 1st week which is considered off seasons so there were not a lot of guests there. The food was good in taste but me and my partner had bloating issue after eating the food so I would suggest you to skip food here in off seasons. That's it.

We stayed in their best room (below suites) and it was quite comfortable. They’ve huge area with lovely garden so that adds to the stay experience.

Location is the best! Though it's so close to the market it is quiet and greenery surrounding makes it a great budget option to choose from. Very close to market, rope way point, Buddhist monastery, bhagsu temple and waterfalls. All walking distance.
Rooms are basic, spacious, neat and clean.service is very good, staffs are courteous. Had a wonderful comfortable stay.

Location, staff, cleanliness, hotel decoration everything is just wow! Only one thing is needed that is Electric Kettle. We stayed in super deluxe room still there was no electric kettle.

Nice experience.i booked the HUT for 4 days in june 2019 and deluxe room for 3 days in June 2022

Spacious property with good parking and quick service.only problem is sometimes parking full in peak season as hotel allows outsiders to park so you should demand parking as you have booked hotel and you should be given primary importance before outsiders.also tv DTH not working.at night there may be sounds from roof as monkeys live there otherwise nicely maintained property

Our stay at Hotel Bhagsu was great. Great hotel with a good location and good food. Only minus point was the room size. Very small. Would not be wrong to say that the bathroom was more spacious than the room itself. Overall a good experience. Would definitely recommend.

Room price is at higher end and rooms also needs renovation. Food is good and service is super fast but unfortunately you won't get any tandoor items here. Rest staff is super friendly and helpful. But overall property is good and has ample parking space available.

Great place for relaxation I always been there my vist to mc leodganj beautiful location well maintained hotel by hptdc only drawback is room size but that too far better then it's type category hotels love to stay there every time my visit to dharamsala mcleodganj

Review is specifically for the hut in hotel bhagsu.
Stayed for 3 nights in oct 2021 with family.

1. The hut is 50 ft away from the main entrance.
2. Has a beautiful view of the garden from hut 1.3. Tall beautiful trees.
4. You won't get the views that you are looking for - i.e mountains or valley. But I liked the hut very much.
5. Food was good.
6. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Generally helpful ppl in my experience at mcleodganj
7. Had arranged cab for my local trip and found the rates to be reasonable when compared to other travel agents.

Would recommend.

Excellent location, peaceful and quiet even while being a stones throw away from the main Macleodganj Market. Clean rooms and bathrooms, courteous staff, good food with healthy portions and beautiful surroundings.

Secluded location, ample parking space. Clean hotel, hygiene maintained well for bathroom. Specially rooms on the first floor have merits.
A star less for poor quality bed linen.

Visited in July, 2021. Situated just walk in to main sqaure.lovely hotel & amazing staff. Food is delicious. Resort has so many wonderful points which made our stay more comfortable and memorable. This is one of the best properties with nice view, plenty of open space, very nice staff and great food.

Big and beautiful property under Himachal tourism but not properly maintained.
Rooms are clean but compact.
Talking about food they don't offer tandoori cousine and available food is satisfactory. Honestly, We can find a better place in the same budget.

Good location as it is close to the market area. Spacious property that's hard to find in Mcleodganj. It has its own parking space. Well maintained and spacious rooms, bathroom have huge water heater that helps as its usually cold. The service is exceptionally fast and good and the staff is very friendly.

The location is great, very homely environment and very friendly and helping staff. Rooms are comfortable The only deficiency is the presence of a tea maker kettle as the kitchen closes and there is no way to get a cup of coffe or tea before 7 am. But we had a very comfortable stay

The hotel is the best, as per my knowledge, at Mcleodganj.

Giving it a star less, as there was a bad experience of mine here. Cannot give 5 star.

But rest the place is CLEAN, HYGIENIC, has GOOD FOOD, and overall the BEST TO STAY at in Mcleodganj.
