HPTDC The Renuka

The property is at a prime location, with a beautiful lake view and walking distance from all prime spots. But it requires a lot of renovation and maintenance. The rooms, though spacious, require upgrading with better amenities like electric kettle etc.which were missing, the TV was not working, and the bed & beddings were not fresh.

Decent hotel by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department just opposite to famous Renuka Lake. Also, there's a restaurant too. Rooms are spacious and you can either book this online or offline by visiting the hotel. There's heavy rush on weekends so please try booking in advance if you want to stay here.

The hotel is the oldest in the town and right across the Renuka lake. The staff is quick, helpful and kind. Rooms are spacious but need little more maintainence. Yet the hotel is a great pocket friendly option for short stays. But if you want to save more, then there are several dharamsalas and guest houses to choose from. The hotel's dining area is on the ground floor in a round shape room which gives a direct view of the holy lake. The vibes are calming and peaceful. We loved our stay here.

In the vicinity of the next few kilometres, there is no other food joint or hotel to stay. So a natural choice. Although the property has limited rooms, but during off season, these also remain vacant. Property is very old, and also the renovation has not been done properly, so set the expectations right to adjust for a few nights. Service is courteous and the rooms are also spacious. So good option during stay at Renuka Jee.

I didn't stayed here but had Lunch and Breakfast here.food is good here, infact you don't have any other option also.

This was the only eatery in the vicinity of Renuka Lake and Mini zoo. We were tired and hungry after a walk of 3km around the lake and were looking for some food. The restaurant stops serving lunch at 3 and therefore the only thing we could get was bread toast. The staff is really helpful and the place is neat and clean. It feels good to have a meal here.

The place and lake is divine as compared to any other place. But, the HPTDC hotel peopl don't change the quilts and blankets and the same bedding is kept for the next occupants. Me and my daughter fell severely ill after visiting and staying there

Extremely beautiful place on the banks of lake Renukaji. Good food and comfortable rooms, vast parking space, helpful and friendly staff, spacious rooms with all necessary amenities.

Definitely a great place to spend a weekend with your family and friends. The HPFTC hotels are known for their great location, this one also an example of that. The spacious rooms, open air atmosphere, the forest around, the Renuka Ji lake in front. And if you are a religious person then definitely the Renuka Ji temple is a must visit place.

Food is too bad. After walking around the lake in cold weather we ordered tea and coffee here, both were terrible.

Location is Good but Staff bahut hi Batmeez hai. Rooms tidyness is below average. Overall a Bad Experience

Staff behavior very bad, no response for any service, no provide kettle for doing the hot water, and don't provide the hot drinking water, TV also not working.
Service of Staff is very poor. Not provide the food on time.
But location of hotel very best.

Very nice location adjacent to the temple and across the lake. All rooms are lake facing. Services are very good and behaviour of the stuff very courteous. Food is homely and very tasty. However only veg.food is avalaible which is very good. Full marks to HPTDC for such a hotel.

HPTDC, Renuka Ji, Himachal Pradesh, rooms were good but found it bit expensive. It varies from 2200 per room or 3200 per room depending up on lake facing or not lake facing. Staff was Cooperative and very polite, as we had a group of 22 people and they accommodated us fairly with extra bedding. Resort was good. View was also very nice. They have restaurants facility for breakfast lunch and dinner but very particular of timings. As per my experience room service was really poor, even when requested for hot water to drink 3 times no one provided that. Also I ordered coffee and they only provided hot milk and coffee separately. I dont know what kind of room service is it. Even they didn't serve coffee while ordered in the restaurant. We had dinner at their restaurant which was good. Food is reasonable. Overall average experience but this could be a best option in terms of budget.

Worst experienced staff.no cold drinks here.food is alright but their way of talking and manner of attending guests is very low and poor.it is goverment controlled hotel.receptionist is very foul mouth person.they is no place around mata renuka mandir except this hotel thats why they treat badly every guest

Average hotel, Surrounding is so beautiful that u hardly bother about this hotel at least they should improve the interior coz they are charging quiet high.
Restaurant not recommended.

Great location, bang on the banks of the Renuka lake. Property has big rooms. Maintenance is low, otherwise overall it's pretty good.

They had nothing available in their kitchen. They served us the most tasteless sandwich ever! The staff just served us attitude.

Shri Renuka Lake is wonderful place to visit. It's very calm and serene. One must visit this place while traveling to Shimla. Rooms are also available at here.

It is the only good option in Renukaji, Himachal Pradesh. Very nice place to stay. Good food, good Ambience, Good view. Actually awesome view from the hotel.

Clean rooms, courteous Staff, can taste Himachali food. Outstanding views of the Renukaji lake. 5 mins walk to Purshuramji Temple.

What I discovered is it is not registered with HPTDC. As when I tried to look details about them through Haryana Tourism page This hotel was not showing. Staff is way unprofessional. My observations are as below:

1. Fake and their bills are also fake as Renuka hotel is in Sirmur District and Nahan is one of its town. They are FROUD.

2. We went for lunch they said mess is closed, we said okay I asked for 1 water bottle and 3 soft drinks.which barely cost one 100 bucks.but they were charging me Rs. 168. That was way shocking for me. And his reply was prices are already written in menu but to tell you that 40 Rs.for 1 bottle of soft drink was DINING CHARGES. And hights he didn showed us the Menu card as lunch time were over.

So somehow I felt HP govt should look into this and if they are claiming they are registered with HP Govt tourism necessary action should be taken against them, if they are not.

This is just on the bank of the much loved Renuka Jheel. Balcony of each room can vividly see the water body and the peeping visitors. Room service is also very good. Room conditions can be improved. Bed mattress of Room no. 205 is smaller by about 6 inches than the bed and the staff had no option for a change.

Abandoned hostel. Poor management. Muddy water in washrooms. Waste of money. Poor food quality and taste. Unprofessional staff. Overpriced 3k for such a room. No lift. Visited on 2/5/22

Visited there. For luch, just found that they were serving very poor qualities of buffe meals with high cost. Rest everything was average. Tastes was also not so good. Recommend not to have lunch there. But try a restaurant 10 km away drishti. It was good

The property is well appointed and at a very superb location facing lake which is bang on the entry gate of hotel. The rooms are fine, average. However the towels are a little dirty, recommend you to carry your own. My recent stay here was fine, and only bad experience was with the reception person, who was way too rude on separate occassions with other guests as well, which quite the opposite way of hospitality industry. Apart from the reception person spoiling the stay was good.

Heaven on earth this whole place? Just amazing to see the natural beauty and magical vibes of renuka ji lake.

Best place to stay here.
All HPTDC hotels are great.
All this at reasonable cost.

Cons:
1. The bathroom shower does not work properly. Lots of lime deposit that block shower nozzel.

It is a perfect place for a mental refreshing experience, the cool breeze that flows on top of the jheel Shri Renuka Ji, happens to cool the mind as well, the green trees, clean water also rejuvenate the mind.

Good location on the lake of Shri Renuka ji Lake & Temple. Good rooms with limited menu as it is govt.venture service is ok room service also available.

Place is good and peaceful, good for local visitor, but not for tourist attraction, bcz there are very places less than 100km to vist and view points are also very distant from other

The Himachal Tourism's Hotel n Restraunt is located on the lake banks n one can enjoy the beautiful view of the lake from the Restaurant n Rooms. The ambiance is good n staff very friendly. The preparation is yummy.

The Hotel was located just in front of Renuka Lake, thus having good view of lake. Our room was lake facing with a lawn. If you have enough time you can sit over there with family. Overall the Hotel was good and clean. Bathrooms were also clean. Staff was good!

Amazing experience, pristine place and very helpful and cordial staff at the Renuka ji hotel. Already looking forward to the next visit. Must go if you want a peaceful holiday away from the city buzz.

Location is what you pay for. Good view and clean air. Something to rejuvenate your body and soul. Hotel is good with basic amenities. No wifi, bar and non veg food. Good for a weeken trip. Dont miss the morning walk circling Renuka lake, a RAMSAR wetland site. Children will love the mini zoo, specially Mr. Baloo.

Loved the food, simple delicious. Their chowmein are amazing! Made with a special sauce. The people are very helpful and it's a very down to earth place. Having a good time here

Nice serene place for short Holiday. Old wing rooms are grand, new wing is undergoing renovation. If you are looking to book a room book in old wing if with family. If on budget then prefer new wing.
Renukiji lake view from room is beautiful and calming. Enjoyed my stay here.

Bad staff, Mismanagement and unmaintained. Staff is polite but they don't know that they are running a hotel in remote location. The hotel does not solve a purpose.
