The short climb up to the cafe may make you unsure about the place, but well worth it. Everything we tried on the menu tasted good. Service was a bit slow, but then good food takes time
The famed Jim Morrison cafe was a dud (been there twice and both times during day). The food would barely qualify as okay-ish. The decor/ interior isn't anything great, also you need to climb up to go to the place.after the climb, seems disappointing! There are far better cafes around Kasol.
The place is nothing more than a hype, dull and dark atmosphere. The food was okish and the tea was pathetic was served the packed green tea pouch on asking for jasmine tea. The service is really bad, on ordering banana milk shake we got banana crape. Overall not a worth place for a hike of 15 mins or.more.kasol have better and more beautiful placess.
Just have to say, highly overrated, highly priced. Food was below average but vibe was chillin' - if food matters then no go but if vibe matters then it's an option.
A rock solid cafe, worth the special trek amidst dark and creeky coniferous trail. Food is scrumptious and delectable. Wait time is nullified when the aroma hits the nostrils and the first bite of just about anything will set you off. It's advised to carry your own stuff to light it in and set the mood. Perfect to the pitch. Advisable to carry torch and cash.
The cafe is far away from the town, deep in the woods it seems. The food is okay but not worth the trek in the deep woods. There are neither sign boards to show the path nor lights to view the path to the cafe. It's hard for someone alone to search for the cafe after the twilight. The vibe here is good but not lively as you think it would be.
The owner is a great guy! (Moses) Although I understand the shortage of good staff up there, the uphill trek to the cafe is totally worth it if you want to stay aloof in Kasol yet want centrality. The lighting in the rooms can use a huge makeover as they are depressing to an extent but otherwise all is well. ️ The food gets cold pretty soon, so dive in asap! ️
I'm in love with the place️ It's like a gem The surrounding is awesome️ and the place is cozy and beautiful The owner is very good and I loved the hospitality and behaviour ️️️ Very good place to go there and chill away from the city crowd. Felt very close to the nature and peace ️️ Very Relaxing ️ Don't ask me about food I love food so it's always Very pleased to be there.will visit again ️️
The place is quite a hidden spot of Kasol, and is a trek of about 10-15 mins. Found this place to be way too over-hyped. Ambience: The ambience is quite cosy with comfort seating arrangements. Quite place to vibe. Service: Talking about the service, it was very much disappointing. Was informed about the unavailability of food after 15-20 mins of placing the order. And even the service was very slow. Taste: Majority of the food ordered was not satisfactory enough, expect the falafel platter. Better not to go for any fruit drinks, as you would served with flavoured/ essence one. Overall, just a place for a one-time visit, but would literally not recommend anyone, not worthy enough of the 15 mins trek, for sure
We visited as a group of 6 and we didn’t like the service and place. My friend put a review earlier about the same. (Check for the review by Ijas Jabbar) Their response to the review was falsely accusing us of carrying alcohol and snacks. It’s one thing to have a bad management and worse to accuse your customers of things that are not true. Worst management experience!
I ordered honey Chilli potato worth 200 and all I potatoes cut in four pieces. That's the weirdest honey chili potato bcz all I have ever had were potato cut into many slices. I did not eat anything but owner still denied any concession.
If you know, you know you should go. The manager was very courteous and the food was way too delicious for what the place is known for. There is a movie on every night on a big screen and the place is quiet. You can chill with your friends eat good food and relax for hours here! Highlight of Kasol trip!
The place as such is great for an escape.far away from the city but well connected.service this time aroumd wasn't up to the mark.the Owner Mr. Moses is a great guy.the management while he's not around not so great.but i will definitely recommend this cafe for the pizza's, ambiance and locale!
Best cafe so far in overall himachal, israeli food ️ & indian Breakfast i had in 5°c which was worth in every thing (food service view). Forevermorrison ️.
It was an unofficially open day for four of us. The restaurant was due for renovation. Even though we did see the notice saying that it was closed, we did try our luck. Fortunately the guy let us in and served us the best food that we could get in kasol.
There wasn't any ambience or music, the food was worth every penny.
This is a small cafe up on the hillside of kasol witha beautiful view. The ambience of the cafe is very amazing and food wad also delicious. Service was also good. It is quite far from the city, you have to do some trekking to reach there. I'll definitely recommend this to all.
A quaint little cafe up on the hillside with a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Parvati Valley and the fantastic mountainscape. The ambience in the cafe is homely and the food is amazing. They even have some instruments (guitars, djembes and tambourines) for the musically inclined. The staff is extremely friendly and warm. Don't miss it if you make a trip.
You can reach this restaurant after a short trek. Really love the ambience as it has rock music playing all the time and has a very cozy and chill atmosphere. The breakfast menu is great and other things to eat are also very good. A must visit place when in kasol
Good food, menu had only vegetarian options, plus it's a 15 minute trek to reach the cafe with dim lights so need to be careful if going there in the evenings.
