The food was scrumptious and the portions were quite generous too. I had a great time enjoying a little mountain view from the terrace seating with some friends I made on the trip itself!
The environment and scenery are plus points. Even the scenery by the window is good at night. The wooden decoration feels more beautiful than other restaurants.
But the service at checkout? Some service staff have good attitudes and some are full of question marks.
Pink sauce vodka penne is very salty, so salty that I kept squeezing the sauce out of the pasta, otherwise my mouth would become drier the more I ate, and the saliva in my mouth would be emptied directly. The seasoning was not very good. It was the worst I have ever had in McLeod Ganj. The pasta I ate was a bit more expensive than other places.
The milk tea tastes bland, and you will be really disappointed if you drink such milk tea in India.
Majestically and excellently curated food, served with great presentation and panache.
We ordered the tuna melt bruschetta, and it was mouth-watering delicious. The next day, we tried their Farmer's Breakfast, which was again a relishing treat for two. Ambience is a rustic informal setup with seating in chairs and on the floor.
It's really delicious. I had veggie cream pasta and chocolate mousse. It was really, really delicious. It had a warm, creamy cheese flavor. Creamy pasta. And the chocolate mousse was really rich, thick, and so so so so so so delicious! This taste is the best. I will definitely go back!
The first thing about the place that hits you, is the nice quaint atmosphere. They have areas where you can sit on the floor and have your food too. Italian cuisine meets Asian tradition eh.
This ideally should be on your list if you’re looking to enjoy a nice Italian meal; a pizza; a pasta or even a slice of garlic bread with a pint of cold beer.
Undoubtedly the best Italian food I've ever had. Do try out the Baked Gnocchi with mozzarella cheese and Chicken Lassagna. Servers and the lady at the counter are very polite and go out of the way to make sure you enjoy your food.
Add this to your itinerary if visiting Mcleodganj.
Perfect place with a beautiful view. The food was truly authentic Italian. They have lived up to the hype completely. Must visit whenever you are in McLeodganj. Good food and good ambience.
Aah the ambience, the food, the hospitality and the decorations, what's not to like about this awesome kitchen. Best place to have breakfast lunch or even dinner in Mcleodganj. Each and every option in Italian Food is very good. Do visit for a lovely time. And in the end do have their brownies.
I swear this is the best place I know to eat and relax. To try best pizzas and pastas one must visit here and then there's the chocolate cake with hot chocolate sauce, I swear one must try it to keep there taste buds alive.
True authentic Italian taste. To be honest, my friend and I weren’t expecting this place to serve food that actually tastes true to it’s name but we were surprised to find that all the food here was amazing. The view is amazing from the restaurant, you enjoy the fresh mountain breeze in your face as you devour your meal.
Food is absolutely delicious, we ordered the peri peri pizza and blueberry cheesecake! Views by the window rack tables are amazing. The service was great, specially the lady managing the cafe is really sweet and helpful and gives great recommendations! Definitely must visit for any McLeodganj trip.
A very beautiful place. Delicious food. A nice view of the valley on one side. A very cozy cross mattress seating on the other side. Looking forward to go again and try some more dishes
Mcleodganj is full of cafes with the view point, and We found Jimmy’s Italian Kitchen one of the best among them. Tried Milk Chai, Cold coffee and a veggie delight pizza. The view it offers is just mesmerising. You will fall in love with the soft interior. They have terrace sitting as well. Quality of food is great and hygienic. Pizzas are a must try. When it comes to cost factor, it will cost you around INR 500 for 2. #mcleodganj #himachal #dharamshala #localguide #localguides
Food is amazing, Staff is really helpful, overall Ambience make the place very alive. Valley view from the top is gorgeous & inside cafe there are plenty of space to sit and gaze the beautiful mountains and mcleodganj.
If you visit McLeod and do not visit this place, your trip is incomplete! The food is just amazing! The pizzas, pastas, baked dishes, sides and the dessertssss! DO NOT miss the chocolate mousse! And the brownie with ice cream! Just try them all and thank me later! You’d want to sit there all day to just eat each and everything on the menu. Must go!
Jimmys is a cute Italian Cafe in McLeodGanj. Absolutely loved their interiors. The vibes are just next level. I tried Apple Crumble. Old fashioned caramelised Apples with crumble pastry topping with a hint of cinnamon flavour. It was served warm with cream. I liked it. I have heard a lot of their Pastas & Pizzas. Couldn’t try because as I was in a hurry. But definitely next time. Also you get the best views from their windows
Visited this place recently, the ambiance was impressive. Amazing peri peri fries to start of with, would highly recommend Chikonara Pizza and chocolate moose
When I stepped out to explore mcleodganj, I stumbled across this place. A small staircase leads to an open and beautiful Italian restaurant. The food is amazing and desserts are to die for. My favourite part is the view, I could sit for hours staring at the mountains from there. A must visit when your in town.
My fav here is the Angry Chicken Pasta.i can have it everyday! Alfredo pasta is also too good.love the Sicilian grilled chicken and Oh my god the fries are sooo good! The best fries ever.one of the best hangout places in Mcleodganj
GREAT GREAT GREAT, If you are in mcleod and you are not visiting this place for food than i am telling you that you are missing a food paradise. Blueberry Cheese cake is to die for, i got high on food. Bon Appétit
Lives up to the hypeee! If you ever visit Jimmy’s you have to try their chicken melt and angry chicken pasta, and after all that don’t forget to try something sweet! Especially the brownies are to die for
We felt that the food was a bit hyped. Desert and Peri Peri fries were awesome. The service was very slow. Took a hell lot of time to bring our order. Even the waffle at the end, they made us wait for about 20 minutes (even more). We ordered: 1. Peri Peri Pizza (slightly bland with large chunks of tomato) - average 2. Pink sauce pasta with vodka sauce - good 3. Peri Peri french fries - great 4. Waffle with nutella and icecream - great
It's a nice sunny cafe with a good view of the valley. You get 3 seating options, either sit comfortably on mattresses, sit on tables on ground floor or window facing counter seating or you can sit on the rooftop as well! Something for everyone.
Coming to food, I had banana shake & pizza Sicilian. Shake was decent, a normal shake, nothing fancy which I liked. Pizza was great! The crust is made of hand knead fresh dough. It was soft but thin & crisp. The sauces & cheese was good as well. No complaints!
Also you get good wifi, so you can even work & chill here!
It is one of the most famous eateries in Mcleodganj and the food does do justice to all the hype, service however needs improvement one of the items that's they are famous for was out of stock which was a bit disappointing but at the end Banofee pie was the star of the night absolutely delicious and must have for anybody visiting Jimmy's.
Lovely food, great ambience, and comfortable staff. The order took a while to get prepared but as they say, it was worth the wait. If you like hand made, wood baked pizza crust then that's the spot to visit. The soups were also delicious. Would love to visit here again during our next visit to Mcleod.
The original place that looked like Big Chill is no more. The menu is also different. Nothing spectacular in desserts. Prices are higher than other equal places nearby too. My Alfredo Pasta was meh. Wouldn't come here again.
This is probably the best place for Italian Food in McLeodganj I am generally very critical about food and coming from Delhi, me and friends have had the worst and the best food. After a journey of 15 hours, we were all hungry and cranky. This was our first meal in McLeod and we had heard so much about it.
When we reached the restaurant. It was a lively yellow colour place with movie posters from all decades. Kinda reminded us of Big Chill (a very famous place in Delhi). We were expecting exuberant rates and tasteless food. But to our expectations from the place, the prices were nominal and food was far better from our expectations. Every thing we ordered from the menu was very yummy.
The catch in Mcleodganj is that, you need to be patient and should know how to pass time on your own or with friends, cuz everything or mostly everything is prepared from scratch. But is worth all the time.
My recommendations.
1) Original Waffle (the best and the cheapest waffle i have ever had)
2) Chicken Grill (served with pasta and baked potato)
The rooftop view and ambience was amazing. As if we were sitting in nature's lap. We could see clouds and fog floating across the mountain. Equally tasty was the food. The hot chocolate, the fresh watermelon juice, the grilled chicken and the pasta was to die for. Mouthwatering Italian food marked the end of our trip
I went to this place with my wife as she said the pizzas are wonderful and well she was absolutely correct. The pizza we had was a Non Veg Extravaganza and it was sumptuous. Moreover the ambience is so serene, they have two sides a couch side and a mountain facing side where you can enjoy coffee with a view. Overall a must visit place
A cafe with lovely view.they have rooftop sitting as well. It’s covered so can be a good option in rains as well. Their pancakes are not that good. Coffee is okayish. Omelette is tastyyy. Do not try their filter coffee. I didn’t try much from their bakery. But sitting is really good.
Perfect place for Italian cuisine in McLeod! Menu variety is huge, you'll be troubled what to order. Staff is courteous, view from the cafe is breathtaking. The best we had was tuna melt bruschetta and baked Quatro formaggi pepperoni pasta! Apple crumble is a must must for anyone with a sweet tooth, although it's not that sweet!
Very nice place Worth a visit, please do not forget to try lazania here it is amazing The view from here is amazing especially from the terrace as well as down stairs There are low tables also to sit on and long chairs also with the whole view of the valley Pizzas are also amazing but if u like extra chicken u should always tells them in prior, the coffee is also very nice
A lot of reviews on various sites recommended Jimmy's, praising the food and the view from the restaurant.
First off, as we went for dinner, the view was neutralised. The place is pretty basic with no pretensions. We ordered the Mushroom & Ministrone Soup, that was bland and Margharita Pizza, followed by Alfredo Pasta. The pizza was the highlight of the meal. Thin crust and well made. The pasta was disappointing, with very little sauce.
After the disappointing soup & pasta, the chocolate mousse redeemed the meal. Deliciously sinful.
Not a great place or great food. But then my taste buds may differ from others, so strictly my opinion.
A must visit place with the awesome view and with the awesome food.the place is must try for the people who loves Italian food. This place serves you the fresh food.
