We stayed at Junglaat for 3 days. It was literally home away from home experience. Highly recommended. Extremely supportive staff.

Nice place in very quiet area, 15 min from noisy and crowded Macleodganj. Nice atmosphere, you feel like at home.
The staff is great, very helpful and friendly. Beautiful views and walking around. Food is amazing. Room was clean and cozy.

Junglaat is a lovely property nestled in the hills of Himachal Pradesh. If you are looking for peace and quiet with a view of the forest then you are at the right place! Sanja, Sonu, Abhishek and all the other staff are so helpful and accomodating. Sanjana also gave us really good recommendations for things to do in an around Dharamshala! For the 3 days that we stayed there it kinda felt like family! Absolutely loved the food and the service. Highly recommend!

Junglaat was truly an experience. Every inch of this place is earthy and serene. The views from the window, the decor of lobby, the verandah, everything is spell bound! Coming to food and service, i can easily match it with some of the best restaurants in entire mcleodganj. The food ia freshly made. Always. (Need to order them atleast 30-45 min in advance as they indeed pick out fresh ingredients) we were on family trip and were served by the manager Mr. Sonu. He bonded too well with the kids, was always extremely polite and friendly with us. Do ask him to show the way to bal village trek. It's a junglaat special Trek u can say and it's better than even bhagsu seriously! I'm returning here soon hopefully. Mcleodganj and now junglaat are worth it!
The rooms were neat and clean, pretty decent. Have its own pantry too in case someone wants to spend fair amount of days.

I had the pleasure of staying at Jungalaat and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Their warm and friendly nature was a breath of fresh air and I truly felt like part of their family during my stay.

The surrounding mountains were absolutely stunning, with the jungle view and pine trees creating a beautiful backdrop that took my breath away. Of course, being in the spiritual land of the Dalai Lama was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The spiritual energy of the place was palpable and it was an honor to be able to visit such a significant location.

Superbb stay at Junglaat, nice big rooms, with all the amenities you need. Warm welcoming staff, Sanjana helped us to reach the property and take full care of our each and every small request. Abhishek ji and Deepak ji is a nice host.not available during our stay but there coordination over the phone is really appreciable. Food is delicious we ordered kadhai paneer and veg pulao as we are Indian food lovers, and it's really served with the best quality with best chutney. Sonu Kumar room service guy is very energetic and take care of our every ordered food and choice.

We stayed in the large appartment - the rooms were beautiful and sufficiently equipped with a huge porch right in the wood. Eagles and humming birds were flying right above our heads. The location of Junglaat is simply beautiful and there are amazing views of Himalaya nearby. The staff was always kind and helpful. Sanj and Abhishek are wonderful hosts who did everything for us to feel comfortable. The restaurant is perfect, serving tibetan and indian cousine, we totally fell in love with it. Our hosts also helped us to organize our trips and arranged taxi transports so that we didn't have to worry about anything. The hosts also really do care about sustainability, there were no plastics used and we learned that they are involved in local eco activities. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we hope to return!

The Best 'Home Away From Home' in Naddi Dharamshala

When we had booked Junglaat online for 3 days, we had never thought we would extend it for a week. We were attracted by the jungle-like ambiance and the home style setting of this place and this place turned out to be more than we had expected. My vacation in Dharamshala would have been incomplete had we not stayed here - because staff treats you like you are their family and we developed a close bond with each of them - including Abhishek ji - the owner and Sonu ji.

Pros: If you are looking for an offbeat place to stay to experience the true himachali fare this would be it. The hotel is situated in Naddi and is a walk away from a scenic backdrop of snow clad mountains. In fact, every evening we would either stroll on the path with the view of mountains on our side and mustard field valleys, or we would hike the jungle trail that starts from Junglaat and can take to either Dharamkot, and further into Mc. Leod. Whether its sunset or its clouds that cover the mountains or a trail that takes us to a jungli river, it's beautiful. The local food that they make here - including buransh ki chutney, madra sabji and many others are so good that even after venturing into the best restaurants in main city Dharamshala we kept on coming back to Junglaat. I could solely stay here for local food. Also, the staff is very cooperative and playful - they took us to shiv mandir on shivratri, and we enjoyed local music together, and hiked, and even took us to hospital when we needed to.
Cons: We loved this place, because we found Mc. Leod, Dharamkot and Dharamshala to be very crowded. So it's an offbeat place and quieter and more scenic, about 1/2 hour from Dharamshala market. But if someone is looking for hussle and bussle of the city, then this place may not be it. It has though a stretch with a few local shops but nothing compared to other places. One can, though, always take a cab like we did to explore Dharamshala. But for stay, this would be best!

Rooms were very neat.location was bang into the forest away from the crowd n noise.service and hospitality was great.it felt like a home away from home, such was the vibe of the place.best place to stay undoubtedly!

Nice hotel for stay in Mcloead Ganj. Rooms are very clean and staf is very good and helpful. Food are very delicious here. It is very peaceful compared to hotels in Mcloead Ganj market. If you really love natural views and quite, you must visit once and stay for a night atleast

Absolutely secluded from busy Mcleodganj. This is a perfect place to rest and unwind with amazing views, masala chai and comfort food. Property managers are extremely helpful in planning your itinerary and suggesting local points of interest.

View from the balcony is amazingly beautiful.
But the hotel is at a distant place.
The food isint good, it's below average.
The service is good but the issue is that the staff are only available from 7 amto 11pm.
Post 11 pm these guy simple lock the hotel from outside and go to their home.
I had to leave for Chandigarh early morning, had to contact my driver to open up the hotel from outside.

If ' tranquility' had another name, the location of 'Junglaat' would be it. Nestled amidst tall deodar trees, the fragrance of pine, the incessant chirping of birds transports you to a different world. The owners and the staff are courteous and helpful. They sincerely ensure that you have a very comfortable stay and a very good overall experience.

It’s so calm and beautiful located in the midst of jungle, very homely feel and amazing service especially by Sonu Thakur, Sonu’s enthusiasm is superb, he is so ready for anything you ask for, so energetic and always available for services and we had a great time here. If get a chance will come again for a peaceful stay here.

This place is small guest House with 6 rooms like a small village Home.
Rooms were clean and well maintained.
Food was also Good, They served Rhododendron Chatni which was unique. Basic sit-out Restaurant on rooftop in open is great experience.
You will hear lot of Nature during stay. (Amazing Birds chirping, Langoors and Dogs, big mosquitoes also).
Location is 200 meter away from main Naddi road.
View from Balcony / Rooftop is towards trees and not open valley.
Small Village walk from Hotel to Naddi market is amazing.
You fill find lot of tracking options near this place.
Peaceful place to stay, But not for one's who are looking for multiple activities like in resorts.
Travellers who are looking for basic amenities to relax with nature will like this place.
Drive from mclodgunj to this place is 15 mins through narrow road.
Autos take 150/- rs from mclodgunj market to Naddi which is economical.
Must try fruit wines in Himachal, available in nearby market shops (Rhododendron wine / Apple wine / pear / Ginger etc etc).

Entered junglaat with a three months plan and Its been Almost 8months today and with a lot of love and respect for Junglaat and its team I should finally write a few words about you all. Deepak and Abhishek are phenomenal human beings one is the silent killer and one is a silent lover. They both make sure they kill your doubts and make you fall in love with nature and hospitality once again. Chaino the head chef is child hearted who deserves a lot of respect for his 16 years very well spent in Industry. Amit Another brilliant chef who will make sure you miss your mother's love in every dish he serves. Sonu the HOD is the most entertaining chap on the planet. You can't miss to fall in love with him. Aunty is the sweetest woman of himachal n I wake up watching her big smile everyday. Just makes me feel that someone is happy to see me awake. Rishu is a rocket. You just have to give him a task and his speed and perfection in doing that is something I havnt seen in my life, Sajan the guide is not only a guide to the nearby trecks and trails he is also a life coach. He taught me the power of simplicity and i just love his approach to life. You have to meet all these people once in your life to know what life actually is. I strongly give a big 5 star to junglaat for all the efforts you all make to see us happy. With tears of joy in my eyes i just want to say a thank youuuu ️

Its a 5 star property for sure. Small small things that are done made this place unique. Deepak, abhishek and Sonu bhaiya are best of the hosts. If you are looking for peace from urban jungle then this place is for you with the best of the food varieties.

Where do I even start about our stay at this superb establishment.
Junglaat means "in the forest"
The property itself is just mesmerizing, surrounded by tall Deodhar cedars, a backyard that gives you the most amazing views of sunsets and their in-house cafe that won't let you go back to your room.
The hosts Abhishek and Deepak (also the owners) were so warm and welcoming. Helped us with everything and at any given time. Abhishek helped us to get sorted with the pottery workshop at the Dharamkhot studio and there were just endless conversations with Deepak.
The cafe "Lungdu" has a different vibe altogether, low seatings, woody, artsy, earthy. The outdoor seating is no different either. Winter nights with a bonfire is all need here. The food is good too.
Special mentions for Sonu bhayya, we called him Thakur ji. He will make sure you have the most comfortable stay here.
Met some really great people during our stay.
Akshay and his wife Khusbu who have been staying there since 6 months. Another couple who were traveling from Dubai.
Akshay took us hiking (just a 20 min walk) to show us some surreal views of the Dauladhar range and he even took us to a local wedding which was once in a lifetime experience.
Come here and just soak yourself in the nature, wake up to birds chirping and go to sleep with the warmth of Junglaat's hospitability.

Junglaat is a "home away from home". When I landed at this place. I felt in love with the location and then fell for the the warmth and hospitality of Deepak, abhishek and the entire staff. There are few experiences and people that touch you from heart but some unique ones that touch your soul

Prices are high compared to other hotels near by. Hotel is not good for couples. Road is not good. I will not suggest people to go by online.
