It was such a peaceful experience. So many thoughts of life and suddenly everything settled. Roads are not good, you need a good driver. Jwala Devi temple visit is mesmerizing and beyond words. When I entered the temple, I felt I was complete and life was waiting for this day only. Everyone should visit once in their lifetime. My life is almost settled after visiting Jwala Devi temple. Although no magic happened in front of my eyes but my life has changed totally.

Temperature is bit cold better to take some winter clothes with you. But during day weather is pleasant.

Waited there for 3 hours just to get inside the temple, because police security diverted the people to the 2nd gate because of this people were getting disturbed and some people were paying 500-1000 to the pandit and pandit were letting those people go inside.

There is No Jwala Devi Temple at The Ridge of Shimla. Only Municipality Corporation office is there. Totally wrong notation.

Long queue is there anytime of the year which may take 2-3 hours for darshan,
but if you hire a pandit for darshan then you can have your puja and darshan by half an hour.

तुर्क के अकबर ने ली माता की परीक्षा: कहते हैं कि माता के उत्सव के दौरान हिमाचल के नादौन ग्राम निवासी ज्वालादेवी के एक भक्त ध्यानू हजारों यात्रियों के साथ माता के दरबार में दर्शन के लिए जा रहे थे। इतनी बड़ी तादाद में यात्रियों को जाते देख अकबर के सिपाहियों ने चांदनी चौक दिल्ली में उन्हें रोक लिया और ध्‍यानू को पकड़कर अकबर के दरबार में पेश किया गया।
अकबर ने पूछा तुम इतने सारे लोगों को लेकर कहां जा रहे हो? ध्यानु ने हाथजोड़कर ‍विन‍म्रता से उत्तर दिया कि हम ज्वालामाई के दर्शन के लिए जा रहे हैं। मेरे साथ जो सभी लोग हैं वे सभी माता के भक्त हैं। यह सुनकर अकबर ने कहा यह ज्वालामाई कौन है और वहां जाने से क्या होगा? तब भक्त ध्यानू ने कहा कि वे संसार का जननी और जगत का पालन करने वाली है। उनके स्थान पर बिना तेल और बाती के ज्वाला जलती रहती है।

ऐसे में कुटिल अकबर ने कहा यदि तुम्हारी बंदकी पाक है और सचमुच में वह यकिन के काबिल है तो तुम्हारी इज्जत जरूर रखेगी। लेकिन यदि वह यकीन के काबिल नहीं है तो फिर उसकी इबादत का क्या मतलब? ऐसा कहकर अकबर ने कहा कि इम्तहान के लिए हम तुम्हारे घोड़े की गर्दन काट देते हैं, तुम अपनी देवी से कहकर दोबारा जिंदा करवा लेना। इस तरह घोड़े की गर्दन काट दी गई।

ऐसे में ध्यानू ने अकबर से कहा मैं आप से एक माह तक घोड़े की गर्दन और धड़ को सुरक्षित रखने की प्रार्थना करता हूं। अकबर ने ध्यानू की बात मान ली। बादशाह से अनुमती लेकर ध्यानू मां के दरबार में जा बैठा। स्नान, पूजन आदि करने के बाद रात भर जागरण किया। प्रात: काल ध्यानू ने हाथ जोड़कर माता से प्रार्थना की और कहा हे मां अब मेरी लाज आपके ही हाथों में है। कहते हैं कि अपने भक्त की लाज रखते हुए मां ने घोड़े को पुन: जिंदा कर दिया।

यह देखकर अकबर हैरान रह गया। तब उसने अपनी सेना बुलाई और खुद मंदिर की ओर चल पड़ा। अकबर ने माता की परीक्षा लेने या अन्य किसी प्रकार की नियत से उस स्थान को क्षति पहुंचाने का प्रयास किया। सबसे पहले उसने पूरे मंदिर में अपनी सेना से पानी डलवाया, लेकिन माता की ज्वाला नहीं बुझी। कहते हैं कि तब उसने एक नहर खुदवाकर पानी का रुख ज्वाला की ओर कर दिया लेकिन तब भी वह ज्वाला नहीं बुझी। तब जाकर अकबर को यकीन हुआ और उसने वहां सवा मन सोने का छत्र चढ़ाया लेकिन माता ने इसे स्वीकार नहीं किया और वह छत्र गिरकर किसी अन्य पदार्थ में परिवर्तित हो गया। आप आज भी अकबर का चढ़ाया वह छत्र ज्वाला मंदिर में देख सकते हैं।

A relegious place. I went to this place last year and must go place for relegious people under the lap of nature in Himachal.

Walk for 1km, then some stairs and then a big line, even if you go at 7: 00am in the the morning it will take minimum 2 hours to worship. Positive vibes

ज्वाला देवी का मंदिर भी के 51 शक्तिपीठों में से एक है जो हिमाचल प्रदेश के कांगड़ा जिले में कालीधार पहाड़ी के बीच बसा हुआ है । शक्तिपीठ वे जगह है जहा माता सती के अंग गिरे थे। शास्त्रों के अनुसार ज्वाला देवी में सती की जिह्वा (जीभ) गिरी थी। मान्यता है कि सभी शक्तिपीठों में देवी भगवान् शिव के साथ हमेशा निवास करती हैं। शक्तिपीठ में माता की आराधना करने से माता जल्दी प्रसन्न होती है। ज्वालामुखी मंदिर को ज्योता वाली का मंदिर और नगरकोट भी कहा जाता है। मंदिर की चोटी पर सोने की परत चढी हुई है

ज्वाला रूप में माता

ज्वालादेवी मंदिर में सदियों से बिना तेल बाती के प्राकृतिक रूप से नौ ज्वालाएं जल रही हैं। नौ ज्वालाओं में प्रमुख ज्वाला माता जो चांदी के दीये के बीच स्थित है उसे महाकाली कहते हैं। अन्य आठ ज्वालाओं के रूप में मां अन्नपूर्णा, चण्डी, हिंगलाज, विध्यवासिनी, महालक्ष्मी, सरस्वती, अम्बिका एवं अंजी देवी ज्वाला देवी मंदिर में निवास करती हैं।

क्यों जलती रहती है ज्वाला माता में हमेशा ज्वाला:

एक कथा के अनुसार प्राचीन काल में गोरखनाथ माँ के अनन्य भक्त थे जो माँ के दिल से सेवा करते थे एक बार गोरखनाथ को भूख लगी तब उसने माता से कहा कि आप आग जलाकर पानी गर्म करें, मैं भिक्षा मांगकर लाता हूं। माँ ने कहे अनुसार आग जलाकर पानी गर्म किया और गोरखनाथ का इंतज़ार करने लगी पर गोरखनाथ अभी तक लौट कर नहीं आये माँ आज भी ज्वाला जलाकर अपने भक्त का इन्तजार कर रही है ऐसा माना जाता है जब कलियुग ख़त्म होकर फिर से सतयुग आएगा तब गोरखनाथ लौटकर माँ के पास आयेंगे तब तक यह अग्नी इसी तरह जलती रहेगी इस अग्नी को ना ही घी और ना ही तैल की जरुरत होती है

चमत्कारी गोरख डिब्बी

ज्वाला देवी शक्तिपीठ में माता की ज्वाला के अलावा एक अन्य चमत्कार देखने को मिलता है। यह गोरखनाथ का मंदिर भी कहलाता है मंदिर परिसर के पास ही एक जगह 'गोरख डिब्बी' है। देखने पर लगता है इस कुण्ड में गर्म पानी खौलता हुआ प्रतीत होता जबकि छूने पर कुंड का पानी ठंडा लगता है ।

अकबर की खोली आँखे माँ के चमत्कार ने

अकबर के समय में ध्यानुभक्त माँ ज्योतावाली का परम् भक्त था जिसे माँ में परम् आस्था थी एक बार वो अपने गाँव से ज्योता वाली के दर्शन के लिए भक्तो का कारवा लेकर निकला रास्ते में मुग़ल सेना ने उन्हें पकड़ लिया और अकबर के सामने पेश किया अकबर ने ध्यानुभक्त से पुछा की वो सब कहा जा रहे है इस पर ध्यानुभक्त ने ज्योतावाली के दर्शन करने की बात कही अकबर ने कहा तेरी मां में क्या शक्ति है? ध्यानुभक्त जवाब ने कहा वह तो पूरे संसार की रक्षा करने वाली हैं। ऐसा कोई भी कार्य नही है जो वह नहीं कर सकती है।इस बात पर अकबर ने ध्यानुभक्त के घोड़े का सिर कलम कर दिया और व्यंग में कहा की तेरी माँ सच्ची है तो इसे फिर से जीवित करके दिखाये ध्यानुभक्त ने माँ से विनती की माँ अब आप ही लाज़ रख सकती हो माँ के आशिष से घोड़े का सिर फिर से जुड़ गया और वो हिन हिनाने लगा अकबर और उसकी सेना को अपनी आँखों पर यकिन ना हुआ पर यही सत्य था अकबर ने माँ से माफ़ी मांगी और उनके दरबार में सोने का छत्र चढाने कुछ अहंकार के साथ पंहुचा जैसे ही उसने यह छत्र माँ के सिर पर चढाने की कोशिश की, छत्र गिर गया और उसमे लगा सोना भी दुसरी धातु में बदल गया आज भी यह छत्र इस मंदिर में मौजुद है
