Really enjoyed our stay here. Everything about this place is just awesome, rooms, view from balcony and the food. Special mention to staff members who are very courteous and take so much effort in making the stay enjoyable. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

We stayed on 20th May2023 with family. Must say that the property is very beautiful with own gardens and lovely view. Second comes the food preparation in their restaurant is awesome just like home cooked food. 3rd comes the staff is very welcoming and polite. Good area for parking also. Recommend highly for family stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff was incredibly courteous and friendly, always willing to help and answer any questions I had. I was particularly impressed with the owner, who was present at the front desk and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The rooms were equipped with all the latest features that a modern hotel room should have, and I was especially pleased with the excellent lighting in the rooms. It made it easy to read or work comfortably, and I appreciated the attention to detail.

One of the highlights of this hotel was the multiple types of gardens, which were well-maintained and added to the overall tranquil atmosphere of the property. I particularly enjoyed the garden with the pond, which was a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and unwind.

The view from the balcony was simply breathtaking, and I felt lucky to be situated in such a peaceful location. It was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and I appreciated the opportunity to enjoy some peace and quiet.

I also have to mention the food at this hotel, which was simply amazing! Each dish on the menu had a homely and personal touch that made it stand out from other hotel food I've tried. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, and the presentation was beautiful.

Kanishka Retreat Resort is a quiet place to observe and soak into nature! Top floor rooms have good views and decent amenities. The entire resort including the rooms are neat and clean.

The one thing I would like to highlight is their quality of food. It was fresh and tasty and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

Game room is also nice especially the pool table. However, if table tennis table is also included then it would be perfect for people who don't play pool. That would be my one wish and suggestion!

Well, we had a nice stay. Service was good, food was nice. A bit higher on the food prices but might be justified as per the remote location it is located into. Overall, a great stay.

I stayed around first week of October, 2022. I like it staff, food, room and surrounding view wise.

Room was good and spacious there was also. Balcony from their view was also good There was heater in the room. Food was also good There was only one problem hot water

We chose this place for our romantic getaway to celebrate our first anniversary. The room were clean, very modern, and comfortable.
The resort has his own charm with beautiful decor, place to set up bonfire, nursery, and a nice mountain view.

The food was good as well.

We celebrated our parents 50 th anniversary here and it was life time memories for us staff was very polite well mannered overall we enjoyed our two days stay here.awesome location well maintained property.

We had a group booking of around 26 people and it was a pathetic experience.

The rooms are good and well maintained as shown in pics but staff don't know one bit about how to provide service. Some of the major issues are:

1) There is no service available between 10: 30 pm and 8: 00 am. No staff is available on the premises during this time. Nobody will open the gate of the resort or even provide you with a cup of tea. God forbid if you need any medical attention at this time you are pretty much on your own, that too in the middle of nowhere as there is literally nothing for miles on each side of the road.

2) They try to cut corners in every aspect of service, for example for dinner buffet they didn't confirm the menu with our group although we were the only occupants of the resort at the time and prepared things like palak panner, baigan bharta. No one had a proper dinner that night. And upon asking the staff they had a very rude answer "bataya kyu nahi hame". For God sake confirm the menu with your only guests once.

3) their bathroom geysers are useless, they take 25 min to heat fully and since these are small geysers, hot water finishes in 20-25 sec. So you'll have to really plan your shower optimally or else bathe with super chilled water. And if you have more than 2 guests in your room then either skip bathing or wait for hours to get hot water.

4) no emergency vehicle present on premises of the resort.

5) snack service for the evening party sucked big time, all the food was cold and service stopped in 1.25 hrs despite confirming that it will be for 2 hrs.

6) after 10: 30 pm they will not listen to any of your requests. So DJ night is pretty much useless. Staff will leave and no food will be served. Music will be stopped at exactly 10: 15 pm.

College hostels have more flexible rules than these people, they really don't know how to service guests.

Advice to owners: Either shut down this fraud resort or lease it to some professional people who know how to provide hospitality. A must avoid place for group bookings.

Booked 6 rooms with breakfast from 12 oct- 15 oct. Overall stay is very comfortable. You can enjoy full scenic view from the hotel location. Peaceful hotel location so, that you can enjoy the nature beauty. Food taste is good, rooms and bathroom are very neat and clean. Hotel staff is also very cooperative specially Mr Praveen and Abhay. They take special care during our whole stay. We will definitely plan our next trip soon at this hotel with such a peace full location.

The room was clean, very comfortable, and staff was amazing. Food quality was really amazing. Mountain veiw are clear and gorgeous.

I spent 6.5k for one night. But no amenities in it. It's jst fr stay n bfrst. Lift wasn't working. No activity or DJ arrangment. Not at all worth fr money

The stay was made excellent due to the hospitality of the staff.special thanks to Mr. Navin at the reception for helping us with our requirements, the chef for preparing several dishes to our liking, and the housekeeping staff for being prompt with their service.

The food, hospitality and the location is amazing. The view from the balcony is beautiful. Less crowded, they have only 16 rooms to cater and they do it amazingly well.
The price is also very reasonable (for food).

Great place to stay with very good view from balconies, spacious and well aired rooms. Excellent service specially of Lokesh and Abhishek. And not to miss Reception and owner himself. Good food which was enjoyed by our four generations who stayed in the retreat for two days

Rooms were filthy, sheets were not fresh, cobwebs and insects in the room, housekeeping staff was not competent enough. They just give you used towels and pillow covers. Food was terrible! There are no dedicated teams- the guy who is cleaning the toilet will serve you food and later will sit on reception too.
Only one thing good was the view from the room.

We stayed in the triple luxury room, it was amazing, the view was amazing, staff was amazing.
The manager was very kind and was continuously taking care in very small things. The hotel is 20 mins away car drive from the palace, and has amazing garden. You can just chill with your family. The food is good and you get everything if you want to stay for some days in serene.

Great place to have, cleanliness, spacious rooms, just one issue the hotel is 400mts away from main road, and the road is very risky, although you can leave your car on main road and can travel in their 4*4 which they have kept for this purpose only.

We were on our way to Chail towards another hotel which we had booked, stopped on the way to check the property.

You will be sold the moment you enter the premises of the property highly maintained, extremely supportive staff, Super clean rooms, Excellent food, great view, A lot of Parking space, Open spaces.

Anyone and everyone should visit this place for the experience they create for their customer sometimes even going out of their way.

We visited chail for 40Minutes and came back to the hotel since this place had much more to offer than the the city also a lot of peace of mind.

I am thankful to the Hotel staff and the Property Owner who is also at the property making sure that everything is in place.

I will Visit this place every year whenever enroute upper Himachal.
