Kasol Wooden Cottage

This place is so cold in Dec, geyser was not working but staff managed to repair it within time, helpful staff, food was ok ok.

We had booked this hotel through TrekNGo and let me tell you we had the worst experience of our life with them.

The location of this hotel is so remote, you'll have to hike to reach there.

We were there in winters and that wooden room was as cold as the outside of the room. Cold air was passing through poorly build wooden walls of it.

They did provide an extra blanket but we couldn't keep our feet on ground or come out of blanket as it was cold as hell there. Washroom was ok.

The room service person was asleep at 8 in the morning and refused to bring water in the room.

They didn't even take any ID for booking. Just gave the room directly. This can be extremely unsafe.

If you still want to book it then don't book it through TrekNGo or even through MakeMyTrip. You'll get it cheaper in person. Also you'll get many other good options in kasol than this.

Beautiful place & lovely rooms.
They have an amazing balcony where one can sit for hours. Amazing vibes near to the kasol market but still little far that it stays away from the rush/hustle of kasol market. Just 5 minutes walk to kasol market.

Various treks are organised by them, chala trek, Kheerganga Trek etc.

Was there in September with 2 best friends. Decent place for the price sheets and bed could be cleaner but then again price was the point.

We would trek all day and come to this place just to sleep so it was fine. Food is very simple and good.

View is amazing. Definately coming back if needed ️

Stingy, hopeless place, dirty linen, horrible food, even previous customers leftovers lying, bedsherts stink. No recommended

It was worth to stay in kasol wooden cottage. Away from market chaos, plenty of space for WFM facility with WiFi. Common sitting area on 1st floor + sitting area on group floor on both sides (Front and Back).

Must try egg fried rice. You need to park your car at near by place.

Excellent Stay option, best for Work from Home.

Only issue is to find the property, little issue to reach their.

Its was great staying with wooden cottage. The rooms were nice. The roof view was quite peaceful. Tarunbhai the manager were quite co - operative

Filthy place, no approach to rooms, no one to carry luggage. No washbasin, room service guys sleep till 9am, food is horrible, no towel, soap, hygiene, not recommended

Zero services. No hygiene. No towel. No soap. No cleaniness. Blankets and beds are not washed and smell. Pics are fake. Dont go

Don't ever book, poor hygiene, blanket, mats stink, rooms uncleaned even previous visitors stuffleft like that, no towels, no washbasin, approach road ia a difficult trek in itself, carry your own luggage at your own risk, not recommended at all

The stay is clean and beautiful. Kind of aesthetic. Also it has a great view. Food served is quite relishing. The only issue is hot water never comes in the washrooms.

Worst experience ever. Booked this on MMT where they have mentioned the location which is 400m from Kasol market. When we reached the property location given on MMT the owner said it is 9km from kasol. We asked him to cancel the booking since it was their mistake or probably deliberately entered wrong address to get customers. Till date we got no response from neither owner nor MMT for the amount. They are just total fraud

We booked it by reading the reviews on Make My Trip. How could you list a property like this one.

Let's start from washroom.
No water jet
No toilet roll
No washbasin (yeah seriously, only a common washbasin is available)
No mirror
No towels
No soap

For the room,
Bed size is ok
No pillow covers (yuckkkk)
No hygeine
No DG back-up

For the staff
There are three guys running the show.
High on something! For sure.

Probably do not have experience of running a hotel and behaving with guests.

Ready to verbally abuse anytime.

They showed a gesture of physical abuse when asked why there is no DG back-up for the hotel in front of our kids. We were scared, really scared.

@makemytrip should not list such properties.

Please don't take room here. Foods are not good, staffs are very lazy. Rooms also not cleaned.

The only thing that you will get is the view of snow top of Himalayas and that you will get after climbing 100meters stony steps, hardly visible after sunset. The service is very poor, we ordered for tea but 30 minutes when we enquiry we come to know it was not even placed at all then.

3rd class he is very rude even don't know how to talk to customer! Common balcony, small room. Just think before come here because you can get more hotels in this range.

If your with friends, this is the best place to book. (Not advisable with family)
It requires a walk to reach here but they will help you for same.
Tariffs are reasonable.
Rooms are very comfortable and spacious.

I have stayed here for multiple nights, had a best time here.

Food was good too, overall a great experience.

This guy named 'happy', made commitment of reserving a room for me during peak season for 2 days, we agreed on the price too, but then he cancelled my booking and stopped responding to my calls because he got a bigger group who would pay more. Not recommended, their word does not mean anything, and they don't care about existing bookings.

It's hard to find at first time so u might have to ask about it.
U need to walk up the stairs of stone (there will be no location board but a hotel, u can ask there too about this place)
It has Pretty rooms.

Pathetic experience. It started even before reaching the cottage. The access to cottage is extremely narrow and through series of steap stairs which are not safe to climb with luggage. Rooms were not clean on arrival and not cleaned even after requesting. Only used room freshner to clear out stench. Toiletries provided only after asking. Drinking water was charged.

Enough space for groups with maintained rooms, basic amenities & scenic view from the property.

Good place. But rooms not much good. My rooms window not closing. No wash basin in ground floor rooms. Food servuce is not good. Before stay must check rooms and other services.

We were a large group.stayed there for a night and there was no electricity, no water.services needs improvement

Cottages are nice and cozy.
Maintenance could be better. Views are breathtaking from the place.
Also you have to trek a km up to reach to this place. There is paid parking outside.

Both host were so high they forget what you order. I had to call them 5 times to get couple of hot water bottles. Rooms are very tiny.

Awesome Stay. The place is having option to stay as 03 people in a single room with separate beds and as well as couple sharing. Neat and clean interior and exterior gives awesome feel of stay at ️ Mountains. Multiple options for bonfire available. Best part is quality of food is very good. Generally people don't like food at Kasol but the team of this cottage will serve with best quality and full of portions. Good work and highly recommended.
