Visited on Christmas eve and encountered snowfall at the waterfall which was very wonderful experience

It was sacry but at the same time adventurous, fun and memorable. Specially when it rained. I enjoyed a lot. Those who love trekking, should try this.

In the abode of Himachal Pradesh, lies a beautiful place called Kheerganga (3500m) at the extreme end of Sylvan Hills’ Parvati Valley, where it is believed Lord Shiva meditated for thousands of years. The lush greenery of the mountains, the elegant River Parvati and picturesque skies are undoubtedly a much-awaited delight to a trekker’s eyes and soul.

The place has a religious significance for both Hindu and Sikh pilgrims. Situated 22 km away from Manikaran, Kheerganga is popular for its hot water spring even during heavy snowfall and bathing in it is an experience you will definitely cherish. While trekking, the trail unveils popular tourist destinations en route like Rudra Nag Waterfall and Shiv Temple. You should go ahead for the trek to experience peace in the soothing sights of the great Himalayas.

How ‘Kheerganga’ came to be called so

A few believe that it was the son of Lord Shiva, Kartikeya, who came here after losing a race to his brother Ganesha. He remained in a ‘Samadhi’ (meditation)  for thousands of years.  It was Lord Shiva who tried to tempt his son by channelizing a stream of Kheer (rice pudding) to bring him back. The actual meaning of the word Kheerganga is ‘milky white sacred water’.

A Trek to Kheerganga

Kheerganga Waterfalls is a small stream of cascading water from the rocky hills on the side, en route to Kheerganga.

Awesom experience. Very adventurous trek.can't be better than this just stay focused to reach top.its around 4-5 km from Start point rest you can have light breakfast here Maggie, bread omlette and pranatha too but if you overload yourself then it will be hard to do the remaining trek so better eat In limit as you can have food on top too

It is a religious place and not a amusement place, so behave accordingly.

The way to reach the point is awesome, 2 ways ar there 1.through right of dam it will be full of forest and up ndowns, left through villages.better go with a guide and treak might take 5 hrs, prefer to start early.

Just amazed with natural hot water pool and ofcourse sulfuric KHEER.had a relaxing bath after a long and adventurous jungal trek

No such place like waterfall, trek is beautiful, try to go from ahead of bershaini and come back via kalga path. Trek is awesome.

Its a beautiful place, one should avoid going in winters as its very tricky trekking due to snow which makes it very a slippery mountain trail!

Kheerganga is a tiny village and an important trekking point near Kasol in Himachal Pradesh. Kheerganga Waterfalls is a small stream of cascading water from the rocky hills on the side, en route to Kheerganga. The splendid waterfalls gurgle down in the backdrop of beautiful green hills and lush greenery and is a popular stopping point of the famous Kheerganga trek.

Amazing trek to kheerganga with beautiful mountains covered with white cold ice! Perfect view and good camps, I stayed at camp which is just 2nd from the entrance of kheerganga. She was an aged lady with beautiful and helping heart! And off course the hot spring! It takes all your exertion, heals your soul and the view is mesmerising!

The trek is long but average. Do carry the water bottle by yourself. Also take some food with you. The food and water is mainly over-priced but the hotels or camps are very cheap and good. Overall you will enjoy the trek. And it will take like three-four hours if you take only one fifteen minute break. Try avoiding taking multiple breaks.

It's such a beautiful place. The waterfall, the greenery was all mesmerizing. Perfect for trekking.

SUPERB TRACK do carry something to eat like bread, biscuits, match box or lighter, a sharp knife or sword or any kind of sharp thing which you can use for cutting of wood and carry some rain coat which will save u from rain and also do carry thermal cloths. And always be careful while track. And if by chance u see a bear dont run to top or high sight option can be for move downwards this will bring the hair on his eyes. And always be in group. And make noise while tracking. Enjoy the track and last make a. Relief in hot water pool. Awesome view

Kheerganga: A paradise.

It's a wonderful trekking experience. In between the way, you can see many waterfalls. The trekking is 14 kms, but it is an easy trek, anyone can climb it easily. At the top, there are tents to stay surrounded by snowy mountains. The hot water spring at the top of kheerganga rejuvenates the mind.

Kheerganga is located in himachal pradesh. One of the nicest trip. Tracking is quite easy and fun. Camping is also fun if you find ice on the way. The hot water spring after the trekking is one the amazing thing which rejuvenate your mind after a long and tiring trekking.

Awesome place to trek. It takes me 5 hours to trek to top and view was worth for it. I follow path through Nathan village and it is of 13 km in total to top. There are total 3 trek to reach kheerganga this one is the shortest. One is from tosh, if you can't trek too long then trek to Tosh and they also have comps there to stay.

No more words for this beautiful place. It's next to rudarnaag temple n Nathan village. It was awesome in winter when snowfall held in this place. The full place was covered with white snow it was amazing and unforgettable view. It was hard to track in snow in summer. The waterfall was almost frozen and it's dangerous so be careful when you visit this place. Kheerganga waterfall are 8 to 10 kilometres from main road and hydra power station. Just amazing place marvelous view ️️️

One of the nicest trip. Tracking is quite easy and fun. Camping is also fun if you find ice on the way. The warm geaser after completing your track is worthy of this

It is awesome trek. You need to careful at every point of time. There is lot of obstacles. So we went to through forest way and come with Nathan village way. Both way are beautiful.

This the view when you get on top of the Kheerganga in month of end Feb (2018). Please do have a bath in the Hot water spring as it is quite relaxing. We have to complete the whole trek in 12 hours. We started our trek early morning around 4 am in the morning and we reach the top around 10 am to 10: 30 am. The bath in the hot water spring just swept all my tiredness and we were good to head back to the Village (barshaini). Here I have posted some of the photos of my trek.

Awesome place for nature lovers. A must visit place for every one. The complete trekking path is filled with greenary and water falls for every 500mts. The hot spring is fantastic. The amenities are also good at kheerganga. Lots N loads of memories r waiting 4r u. Go grab them

Wonderful place, this is almost mid point of the Trek, wonderful waterfall, good seating option and good choice of foods available.

The water here is freezing cold, don't even step into it forget about taking a shower. Exposed body part may go numb. There is a small cafe here, one can enjoy the chilling water and have some food/drink at the cafe. This point is halfway through the Kheerganga Summit.
