Kinner Camps

The property is okay - with it's heart in the right place and with friendly owner and staff. They serve good food with a smile. The place has good views and is overall friendly. However, a few things if you are coming here in off-season or early in the season (until May Week 3-4) when temperatures are still low.

The tents lack heating - which is so common these days. I understand being a 'tent' electric heaters carry a risk of fire. However, many hotels provide bed warmers in places like Kaza and Tabo. And being one with nature and all is okay - but what's the harm in providing electric bed warmers? Given the price that you charge, is it impossible? It gets extremely cold during nights, to the point of becoming freezing and uncomfortable. They do provide hot water bags but that's not enough.

Secondly in the morning - the water was only lukewarm - what stops you from providing hot water in buckets if you know your solar heating isn't working because of cloudy weather?

I've stayed in places like Pangong and Nubra - and the tent and facilities were better there.

Having said that - the staff is VERY friendly and owner Mr. Dileep Negi is a good host and a warm man.hope he upgrades the facilities soon. Their attitude compensates for some of the shortcomings! Would I come back? May be yes in peak season, when weather is warmer. But in early/ late season - may be NOT.

They served full course menu for dinner right from soup to dessert with two varieties, and also they served one variety of south indian dish for breakfast, in that remote location we not expected that, being a south indian we were happy
Rooms are clean and neat, they provided hot water bags during night
Overall it was a memorable stay

What an awsome place and resort to be in Sangla the resort was very clean and hygenic, the hospitality was mind blowing, the staff were very co-operative and soft spoken, they took very good care during our stay in the resort, delicious food and deserts were served, special cake was baked and served during our last day of our stay. Two words - Absolute fantastic. Views from camp are mesmerising, river just adjacent to camp is blissful, peace of forest is amazing.
Most important is hospitality of the management. I have stayed in tens of camping site, I will easily rank Kinner camps in top 3 camp sites of India. Delicious food, very professional management, attention to details, their effort to make your stay memorable - all that makes this camp site as excellent togo destination.

Decent tented setup; very hospitable, always smiling staff. Mr Negi personally ensured all guests have a very comfortable stay.

Loved the Raksham trek. Though somewhat tiring, but the lovely scenic beauty enroute was well worth it.

Live BBQ on final day, topped with (how could we miss it!) Rainbow Trout, was the icing on the cake.

Good stay. Food was made to order and good. Hospitality was excellent. Overall a very good experience.

Great food with great views. Staff doesn’t provide service so need to carry your own luggage. Staff was helpful. Tents do get cold in night.

Kinner camps is the location in Sangla Valley. We have stayed here in Swiss Tents for 2 days.
Tulsiji the master chef pampered us with variety of both veg and nonveg food. The deserts like buckwheat cake were awesome and staff including Daleepji and team are very friendly and professional.
They serve you organic vegetables grown at the camp site. During the stay one must visit the Batseri village and ever flowing Baspa river.

We stayed at Kinner camps in Sangla and it was worth it! Amidst the nature with the mesmerising sound of the river flowing down accompanied with bonfire! Food was top quality and hosts were amazing as well! Camping at its best:)

Roads to the camp is offbeat, but all the worth once you reach.

We visited Kinner camps end of August 2021 & had a great experience there. The camps were very clean and spacious. We had our own private space outside of the tent and a beautiful view infront of us. We walked down to the Baspa river (100 mtrs) and trekked to Batseri village (500 mtrs). The staff & chef 'Tulsiji' were very helpful, kind and we had some great conversations with them. Food was delicious and Tulsiji cooked yummy pizza and grilled trout fish for us on a special request.
How can I forget the yummy buckwheat and jaggery brownie that we stacked for our travel to Kaza.

If you're in Sangla, a stay at Kinner Camps is a must. The hospitality is amazing!
And a visit to the nearby Basteri village is something you can't afford to miss.
The quite wooden bridge with a view to die for is what dreams are made of.

Kinner camps is definitely one on the top of my recommendation lists when in Spiti

Approach road is Adventurous.
Base Camp is Clean, Organized, with mix of semi concrete tented accommodation.
Climb down to Baspa River for a picnic, bonfire, photo shoot is amazingly picturesque.
Demands some patience for room service but is available and cordial.
Every where you look there are beautiful mountains some covered with snow even in June.
For winters months of October till March they are closed.
Going in a group is enjoyable, trecking, and all can be done.
Heavenly atmosphere with comfortable living doesn't feel less than a hotel.
In the kitchen and all around one person runs the show Tulsi and even the owner Aman is most helpful.
June was the month we visited with a group of 50 and even with such a big group food and stay was comfortable.
Kinner Camps a bit further ahead than Sangla on the Chitkul road.

Heavenly stay. The staff attention and service made us extend a one week stay into a month. When the country is facing the pandemic stress, here we are being provided the utmost care. After the online classes kids enjoy being with nature. Chocolates have been replaced with dates, banana and Apple fritters.

This is an awesome place to stay. Staff, owner are very cozy people. I am looking forward to stay here again this summer

We are a family of 3. We were looking for a secure place away from typical holiday crowd and were open for a camp site. We got an excellent location in a valley, next to Baspa river. Perfect location for a relaxed trip. What makes me give a high rating is the prompt service, courteousness and heavenly food. Never in our umpteen trips have we experienced such superb service, especially by Tulsi and cook Buddhi. Mr. Negi, proprietor regaled us with his experiences of treks. His grounded nature and attention to details is praiseworthy. All these make this a must-experience camp if you are in this part of the Himachal.

What an expirence sleeping in a tent with attached bath. Big and spacious too. Must try it once.

I found the warmest people at the coldest place. The Hospitality at Kinner Camps is excellent and the food is amazing. Right from getting in touch with them to the bookings to each and every big and small needs and till returning back home, the people of kinner camps have taken care of. The stopovers in between they organized for us were brilliant. Deodar Cottage (sweetest and warmest people I met) is a must stay on the way to Kinner Camps.

Amazing place with scenic beauty. We stayed at camps for 3 nights, the place was excellent & family friendly. Food prepared by Tulsi ji was amazing specially trout fish. Mr dilip ji and all staffers specially Prabhakar are wonderful. They all really love to serve us.

If you are visiting Sangle, kinner camps is the place to stay. The view is so beautiful. More than the view, people here are so beautiful and welcoming. They magically know our requirements and help us with the same. Coming to kinner camps is like coming home! We have a fantastic stay. There are so many activities and treks to do around.

This place has the best hospitality. The rooms /tents are very clean. They provide hot water bags for when it gets really chilly. The people there are very very nice and they prepared really good hot food for us.
Also, do not miss the glacier treks and the river crossing adventures.

The location of the camp is just next to Baspa river, with views of snow clad mountains, cherry blossom and Apple orchards.

The service and food given competes with a 5 Star Hotel. Full 3 course meals given, and food packed for the return journey to boot.

The pricing could have been cheaper, but once you are there the staff makes up for it.

We had a rejuvenating stay after a 12 day adventurous trip around Leh Ladakh.reached quite late at night in the Camp.however we were welcomed by the staff with care and affection.had all the comforts we needed in the tents.and the food too was delicacy for us.the staff took extra care to make us comfortable seeing our state.the site in the early morning from the tents is beyond words to describe.enjoyed the walk along the river and the charming serene woods.never felt leaving that place.thx a lot.they are building woodden shelters for the snow time too.love to visit back again.
