Lake View Hotel &Restaurant

It is a good place. It has its limitations since It is a hotel in a small town. The July '23 rains wreaked havoc with thier season so the place was empty when we got there. If I go to nako again, I'll probably stay there again.

Ever smiling and helpful staff makes the stay heavenly.
To relax and stroll around the picturesque village, the age old monastery, prayer meeting, the view point and trail walk around the lake was an experience not be be easily forgotten.
The rustic pure ambience away from the hustle and bustle of city life is something we will always cherish.
Jeetu needs a special mention as he indulged us without questions.

Best place to stay in nako village. They provide decent food. Good room clean washrooms. Don’t expect any luxury.
We were facing issue in parking so the boy Sahil helped us a lot.

The night view of stars was amazing and also the morning view of nako lake was undoubtedly beautiful.
Staff is really willing to provide you every thing possible there.

Amazing stay: I stayed for 2 nights and it was my one of the best stay till now. Staff was more polite and attending to make stay even better than any 5 star property. Location is also very next to lake so one can enjoy peaceful stay. Thank you- Ajit and other staff for making out stay memorable.

Good food good service, hygiene is well maintained.and the view of nako lake from the stay is commendable

This place the staff are actually good and understand hospitality. However considering terrain and tough life I understand that the beds. Blankets and pillow covers aren’t washed regularly here so you have a weird smell in them.

The food here was one of the best as they serve organic vegetables for dinner and breakfast. We had amazing aloo jeera and dal for dinner. The aloo was so fresh and the salad was so fresh as well it tasted really good.

This is the perfect place for staying in Nako. Lake view hotel is exactly in front of Nako lake. We took a room on the top floor of the hotel from where we got a magnificent views of snow-clad mountains all around and of course the lake. We also did a short trek to the mountain in front of the hotel, from there one can see and capture the entire Nako village in one frame. You can also do boating in Nako lake.

Our stay was very comfortable. The temperature outside dropped to -4 degrees at night, for which the hotel staff also provided a heater. Service is very good and quick. We also tried the food - roti, jeera aloo, rice, dal for dinner and paratha & omelette for breakfast. It was delicious. And when it was snowing outside, we also enjoyed hot ginger tea and honey ginger lemon.

The best thing we witnessed during our stay was snowfall at night. It completely changed the beauty of this village. I have also added before snowfall and after snowfall pictures of Nako village here.

While on Spiti trip, I would suggest to stay at Nako village - Lake View Hotel and experience the beauty. If possible try to get the room on top floor.

Do not expect much from them as its in the village but they will do whatever it’s possible for them to do good behaviour warm hospitality

Amazing view from the hotel, even any kind of service asked has been offered with gratefulness. As other hotels in the Spiti circuit heater is not there but apart from that everything was good

It’s ok for solo travellers but not good for family stays as it’s not at all hygienic. Maintenance is carried by only one person who’s managing reception, cash counters, kitchen… So hard to manage for an individual everything

Notable hotel with decent rooms and food at a remote village. Reaching it is a difficult task as the road is very narrow

Amazing food, Jeetu is very good helper. But we had a horrible experience with house flies infesting rooms in August, they say it’s seasonal in the monsoons, so try coming in the summers. Hotel OWNER to get FLY kill machines.

Stayed here for a night, the access road needs some serious judgment to be crossed by night. The rooms were fly infested and the manager was absolutely rude about it. Whenever asked about anything the answer would be "YEH GAON HAI". The other staff were helpful but couldnt do much as the manager was over ruling them

Rooms are not good.dusty and not clean.bathroom was smelling.breakfast is okayish.view and staff is good.

It is the best hotel if you want to stay in Nako. My experience was too good. The room is excellent and their staffs are too good. I have stayed their on 8th june, 22. An incident happend with me, i have left my jacket in the hotel room and after arrival in tabo i realized that i left my jacket in nako's hotel room. But one of their staff named surjeet is really helped me to get my jacket back. They have sent my jacket to kaza and for their cooperation i get my jacket as it is. So my overall experience here is too good and other than stay the food and the other facilities of hot water and all are really good as per the place. And from the room u can enjoy the view of nako lake. If u want to do some photography then their rooftop is the ideal place to capture the small village nako with the view of nako lake and the mountains. SO i highly recommend this hotel if u want to stay in nako.

The rooms are very well built. It is a type of cottage rooms with all the facilities provided at this location. The view from balcony is very beautiful. Would recommend to stay here if you visit Nako.

Worst exp - Was provided room in another hotel despite booking a month before with adv.payment

Reservation exp - Had to call multiple times and sending reminders on mail for acknowledgment of advance payment which I received after 2-3 weeks

Check-in Exp, Felt cheated- First a hotel staff, Surjeet was trying to give us a std.room before cleaning area While I had booked deluxe room. On confronting this to manager Gaurav, I with my wife and kids were provided room in another close by under construction, no restaurant, no waiter, poor lighted and isolated/ghost hotel "Kharba Villa" instead of lake view hotel (they claim it is also their hotel) where I had booking. They had actually given preference to on the spot booking for a group that wanted 3 rooms and didn't bother to honour advance booking I had made. On top of that, Mr. Gaurav kept on arguing and making video, rather than even asking for a glass of water after long trip I had. A'way I had to stay in the provided hotel and room as I had family with me and had no other choice at late evening. We felt heated by the hotel. Tried to approach, Mr. Ranjeet but he seemed unavailable so I am not sure such bad practice/fraud was with or without the consent of the hotel owner.

Approach road - Go with the risk of damaging vehicle. Never came across such a bad approach road to the hotel. Apart from unpaved with stones, a patch of road was bifurcated like during washing or under car repair mechanic has to put car on a ramp with under lane to check under car. Had my engine cover damaged despite the help/guide provided by the hotel. I drove on very bad roads like Mudh village, Chicham village but this was the worst road. Would suggest to book a road side hotel for peace of mind and to avoid possible damage to your vehicle. Trust me, it's not worth just for the sake of lake view, which is more like a pond rather than calling it a lake.

Food - No comment as I didn't have it there due to bad check-in exp.despite having MAP plan. Hotel also didn't charge for the food.

It's not about the money but the trust, business ethics and professionalism which seemed to be totally missing here. Manager Gaurav seems to be more arrogant ready to return the adv.payment rather than being sorry or apologetic for such deliberate act unprofessionalism, not providing us the room in lake view hotel despite booking and adv payment more than a month ago. This is a bad practice adopted by some cheap hotels to get more booking on known hotel name despite having less rooms and then giving another hotel when you reach there and you have no other option.

You can't do much at the last moment except alerting fellow travellers and bringing this in to Himachal tourism ministry notice.

I am writing this for fellow travellers to avoid getting cheated, last minute surprise/mental harassment, embarrassment before your accompanying family members/friends and getting the trip spoiled like mine.

Good view and peaceful place to crash land. Rooms are well insulated but u may face some issue of hot water.

One of the best places I've even been to. Awesome hotel staff, very hospitable. Especially Surjeet Bhai who made us feel at home. Located right in front of the Nako lake makes this place a must visit one.

One of the best options to stay in Nako village. Whole staff is very supportive and they treat everyone like their guest. Parking facility is also good. Room and washroom condition is also good. One can enjoy the great view Reo Purgyil from the hotel. Nako lake is also close to hotel. Food quality and variety is also awesome considering the remoteness of the village.

Nako is approximately 3600 mts from msl. At such heights, a cosy stay, tea and something to eat is most desirable. It serves it amicably apart from clean and comfortable warm wooden rooms. Running supply of hot water in bathrooms which is necessity in extreme low temp. Staff is cordial and prompt. Food is awesome but dont expect variety. View is as name signifies. Reo phurgyil, highest peak of himachal is right in front of hotel Look at "wishing bell" from your room. Right now make a wish to visit Nako soon

Extremely supportive staff. Cozy and luxurious rooms. Environment of the vicinity is just perfect and the ambience of hotel adds cherry on the top. A MUST choice for accommodation if you are visiting Nako!

Best hotel to live and spend your visit. Good Architecture, Room Service & Supportive staffs. Veg food are delicious don't miss the breakfast has lots to offer in your plate's.
Recommendation for ground floor rooms, sit and enjoy cup of tea with pure oxygen & wintery weather/winds. Morning is mountains are awesome can't explain the freshness in air and if you a hotel like LAKE VIEW then it completes your trip.

This place made my stay worth it, staff, service and food was amazing and the hotel was very clean. Best place in town.

Nice hotel to stay at Nako. Lake is so close from this place and is clearly visible. Only drawback is that the road to hotel is too narrow. One has to drive very carefully.

We came here on the 10 April 2021 for our #LetsEscape group lunch. We were five cars and 12 people. Yes the last 200 meters are narrow but we managed to get in the Tata Harrier and the Volkswagen Tiguan All Space as well. Parking once inside is ample for 8-10 cars and yes you do have the view of the lake. The restaurant is spacious enough for about 12-15 people easily. The food has a bit of spiciness but that's good at this altitude. Good views around.

Lake view balcony is amazing. Outside seating arrangements to be improved. Food taste is good enough.

The Lake View at Nako is probably the best that one can expect in this Kinnauri Buddhist village. The lake is not much and appears dirty, but if you were to stay at this village for acclimatisation or delayed travel reasons enroute Tabo/Kaza; The property is a good overnight stay. Ajay and Jeetendra at the property will do all possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible as the property is in a remote village that does not enjoy basics such as regular electricity and telecommunication connectivity.

For the experience hungry eyes, i would suggest a walk about the village to appreciate the remoteness, simplicity and courage of the residents of Nako.

Located right in front of the Nako Lake, Lake View Hotel offers a a comfortable stay option. Though marginally higher in tariff than the others- but it compensates for the quality and cleanliness of the room and the view it offers. The staff too is very helpful and food is great.

Excellent place, homely atmosphere as the owner couple looks after you very well. Very clean good rooms and tasty excellent food cooked by the owners wife. Highly recommended

Good location, facing lake.decent size room. Decent food. Helpful staff. Big terrace for lake view breakfast. Getting big car to hotel is trouble considering narrow road. So you need to park near main road. Nice peaceful village at 3,662 meter altitude.

Very well maintain hotel at this hight was unbelievable. Good comfortable rooms with all necessary facilities. Clean bathroom. Staff is quick, helpful and easy to communicate. Food is tasty. It's has good nako lake view and the surrounding of the hotel is also very pleasant.
