It's not crowded in winters. Preferably go after a snowfall otherwise the landscapes aren't good

The Langza Gautam Buddha statue is a majestic sculpture that overlooks the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located on a hill above Langza village, which is known for its ancient marine fossils and endangered wildlife. The statue was built in 2005 and is the tallest structure in the village. The statue is believed to protect the people and the deities of the valley. The statue offers a stunning view of the snow-capped Chau Chau Kang Nilda peak, which means “blue moon in the sky”

Langza Gompa is located at an attitude of approx. 4400 metres making it a perfect spot for those who love panoramic views and trekking. The 35 feet Buddha statue situated here can be seen overlooking the valley.

Must visit place. Buddha sits and watches over the whole of Langza. The statue as a whole is really beautiful.

Very elegant statue of Buddha and in a very isolated location which makes it a better place to spot milky way and other constellations. When we went it was early so it was just scarcely crowded as the time moved to afternoon crowd poured in like anything. Highly visited place and the village nearby is also called as the fossil village as many fossils have been found earlier.

Visiting the place for third time. A lot has changed from 2016. A lot more people visit here. Earlier it was all empty. However, now you can find a lot of people and vehicles all over this region. Things changing v fast!

Its a nice spot to click a picture or two if you're exploring Kaza/Spiti. Avaoidable if you're not down to make the journey. Next door is the 'Spaceship Cafe'. Cool name but nothing beyond an average mountain tea/maggi stop.

Make sure to carry a jacket as both stops can get very windy in the right weather.

The view from the starting of the village is amazing.
I had put a camp near by statchue the felling was amazing.
It but cold area and at high altitude so surviving was lil bit difficult but although everything was nice after looking at morning view

Langza village is almost 15-16km far from kaza so if you're coming with some travel company then chill but if you're planning solo so then i have to little active because right now very limited bus are running on this route and you have to save extra days too but if you love challenges you can take lift also because i always travel in a little nomad style so i did all this by hitchhiking and i covered langza, Hikkim komic in one day by lift. So in spiti valley villagers also take lift for going one place to another so it's not a new thing and local are very helpful and they really give you lift and there is another option that you can book private cab. If i talk about buddha statue so it's 35ft tall at 14300 ft altitude and literally one of the best place for pictures view

Stayed at spaceship cafe Homestay which was quite nice.

Amidst the snow clad mountains, the gigantic Buddha statue in Langza sits majestically braving the chilly air. Langza is known as the fossil village, as the mountains there contain fossilized stones and can be naturally be found.
All in all, an amazing experience. Next to the statue is a small tea house serving tea, coffee etc. If one is observant and the skies are clear you can see the milky way galaxy. Nice clean village with hospitable people.

Langza is one of the highest villages in India. It is a beautiful place 25 km away from Kaza. It is very easy to reach to the Buddha statue located on the top of the hill by car. From there the view is mesmerizing️

Location and experience was out of the world. There was lot of white cover. Small tea stall aunty serves hot and tasty lemon tea

Langza is a beautiful village in Spiti Valley. It is 15 kms from the main town of Spiti Valley, Kaza and you can reach here by car in just 45 minutes. This village is also known as Fossil village as there were many fossils discovered by locals and explorars. The Budhha Statue here in Langza is just beautiful. The white peak shown in the picture is known as Cho Cho khang Nylta (CCKN). A must visit place in Spiti Valley. There are few good home stays in this village where you can stay with Locals, eat local food and witness the star trail in the night.

Awesome location in the lap of Himalayas. The view is breathtaking and the wind is chilling. Also the people visiting these places are pathetic (atleast take back the garage you bring here with you specially the plastic and beer bottles). These places are fragile. Be responsible traveller.

Very peaceful place, you find yourself in te lap of the mountains were the statue is situated and you see the land being converted from barren to snow in front of you.

Situated 14,500 feet above sea level, it's an amazing place thou a small village overlooking the snow clad mountains!
