Wonderful host and great service. And i would say you must try the food prepared by Sonam Didi. She makes the best food and definitely try the spicy tomato chutney. I didn't had the pleasure to meet with Dorje as he was not in Kaza. But heard a lot about him and his stories about the valley. You can take the walk to the river and enjoy by the banks of Spiti River
Dorje is an amazing host.friendly helpful.rooms were good and the food was amazing which was served in their home kitchen.living at such place is an amazing experience
The best stay in the best possible location in Kaza. Dorje and his family took care of us like their own family and ensured we never go hungry and/or warm. Everyone in the family is super nice and helpful. The food prepared by Sonam Didi is one a kind and not to be missed. Don't forget to ask for the spicy chutney ;). Also their piping hot tea is not to be missed. Also if you guys have the time, please get Dorje to take you on a tour around Spiti as it was one of the best tour as we covered most of the highlights of the Spiti Valley. He is also a very knowledgeable person so expect alot of backstories about the places that you will visit. Left Kaza with a heavy heart but determined more than ever to return back
Great place to stay. They provide tandoor, homemade delicacies (thukpa, momo, chowmein, tea, dal, rice, chapati) top notch quality. I would definitely recommend it for all. There was hamam (to get hot water for bath). The parking is indoors so your vehicle is safe. Last but not the least the hospitality is great and they keep you like your family.
Amazing experience staying with Dorje bhai's family. Great food and great hospitality. Amazing human beings. I would definitely prefer to stay with them again whenever I travel to kaza.
Top notch hosting done by brother dorje and sonam didi. They made us feel so welcomed and my crew and me literally felt like we were family. From the food they provided to the conversations we had was so heart warming. The kids and dad was so loving as well. Please don’t forget to go around with brother dorge, he’s a very interesting person to speak with as he knows around the whole valley. Also their chai tops it off for the cold weather. Well done to them and will definitely stay with them on my next trip!
The best place to stay in Spiti hosted by a loving family. The hosts were total gem of a person. Very well considering of our needs in the cold weather. In my experience, I wouldn't say the treat me and my friends as guests, but more like family. Amazing local Spitian food prepared every day by Sonam Didi, also Brother Dorje was the best guide to bring us around Kaza and surprise us with the legendary tales of Kaza, Spiti Valley. Not forgetting Dorje father who was always kept us warm by setting up the heaters and serving us great chai/tea. Kunga and Ten Zhen, kids of brother Dorje and Sonam Didi we always around to keep us cheerful and make us feel like we are big family. All in all I would rate this place 10 stars and never miss out on this accommodation and this beautiful family!
Stayed there for 3 days. This homestay has 1 big room on 1st floor where 8-10 people can easily fit in. There are 2 more small rooms where 2 people can reside. All the rooms have arrangement for heating which is very helpful. The food served is very tasty and hygienic too. The hosts are very kind and helpful people. If you are visiting kaza, it's a very good option to stay. Cheers!
