ममलेश्वर महादेव मंदिर, करसोग, हिमाचल प्रदेश!
शिमला से 100 किमी की दूरी पर करसोग घाटी में ममलेश्वर मंदिर है। लोगों की मान्यता है कि यहां 5 हजार साल पहले पांडवों ने समय बिताया था। ममलेश्वर मंदिर में एक अग्निकुंड है, जो हमेशा जलता रहता है। मान्यता है कि 5 हजार साल पहले पांडवों ने इस अग्निकुंड को जलाया था और तब से यह जल रहा है।
यहां के स्थानीय लोगों का मानना है कि अज्ञातवास के दौरान पूजा करने के लिए पांडवों ने इस अग्निकुंड को बनवाया था।

Nice place to visit. You can see here the complete Lord Shiva Family. Very old temple. Also famous for the ancient Wheat grain of Dwapr Yug. Pandavas time.

Mamleshwar Mahadev is the presiding deity of Karsog and Suket. The beautiful Kathkuni style temple with 400 grams grain is sitauted in Mamail Village of Karsog. This is the most famous Shiva temple in Karsog valley and town. Though the town is densely populated the ancient temple is situated in the less populated suburban area. Stone and wood built temple is situated on a high platform and has arched rood made of squire slates. Most interesting things to see here are a musical instrument believed to have played by Pandavas of Mahabharata and an ancient grain of 200grams! Near by Kamakshi temple is also worth visiting in Karsog for its unique architecture and exquisite wood carvings in outer walls. Beautiful ancient temple with wood work containing items like dholak and wheat grain from the times of Pandavas. The scenic beauty is very good. Its off beat but beautiful. I would suggest people to visit once and enjoy the history of mahabharata.

Its a ancient Hindu temple of Lord Shiva. Shiva is present here with whole family Goddess Parvati son Karthik and Lord Ganesha. Local believe that it is the Center of the earth. The Temple settled during Mahabharata periods by Pandavas. Here is Fire burn called Dhuna since Mahabharata periods. Here is wheat grain weighted almost 250gms present here from ancient times.

Mamleshwar, the Ancient temple situated in Karsog Valley of Mandi district. The distance from Mandi and Shimla is almost same around 110Kms to reach temple. Mamleshwar Mahadev is the presiding deity of valley. The ancient temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and Mata parvati. Temple is beautifully sculptured with wood and stones and incredibly mesmerizing. Interesting facts which I also witnessed were, the very famous Bheem dhol, the Ancient Wheat grain of 250 grams, the agnikund which still can be seen burning, in courtyard 5 Shivalinga altogether and as per old beliefs the 81th Shivlinga which pandvas couldn't complete.
A must visit place to know more, sharing few glance of the place.

यह बिल्कुल सच है कि हिमालय की गोद में बसें ममलेश्वर महादेव के मंदिर में पांडवों के दौर का पांच हजार साल पुराना 200 ग्राम गेंहू का दाना और भीम का ढोल है। इसे यहां स‌दियों से सहेजकर रखा गया है। ‌

A pretty well constructed temple.there is a free parking space about 100 meter from the temple. The pandit told us about the history of the temple that it was built by the pandavas. The drum (dhol) which bheem used to play is also there. There is a 250 gram grain of wheat here preserved in a wooden box. Just in front of the "darbaar" there is a "Hawan Kund" which is covered by stone (painted red) which is opened every 100 years (last opened in 1984). Whenever it is opened, a large fair is organised. There are a few tea shops around the temple.

भीम ने यहां मारा था एक राक्षस को:

इस मंदिर में एक धुना है जिसके बारे में मान्यता है की ये महाभारत काल से निरंतर जल रहा है। इस अखंड धुनें के पीछे एक कहानी है की जब पांडव अज्ञातवास में घूम रहे थे तो वे कुछ समय के लिए इस गाँव में रूके । तब इस गांव में एक राक्षस ने एक गुफा में डेरा जमाया हुआ था । उस राक्षस के प्रकोप से बचने के लिये लोगो ने उस राक्षस के साथ एक समझौता किया हुआ था कि वो रोज एक आदमी को खुद उसके पास भेजेंगें उसके भोजन के लिये जिससे कि वो सारे गांव को एक साथ ना मारे । एक दिन उस घर के लडके का नम्बर आया जिसमें पांडव रूके हुए थे । उस लडके की मां को रोता देख पांडवो ने कारण पूछा तो उसने बताया कि आज मुझे अपने बेटे को राक्षस के पास भेजना है । अतिथि के तौर पर अपना धर्म निभाने के लिये पांडवो में से भीम उस लडके की बजाय खुद उस राक्षस के पास गया । भीम जब उस राक्षस के पास गया तो उन दोनो में भयंकर युद्ध हुआ और भीम ने उस राक्षस को मारकर गांव को उससे मुक्ति दिलाई कहते है की भीम की इस विजय की याद में ही यह अखंड धुना चल रहा है।

पांडवो से गहरा नाता:

जैसा की हमने ऊपर कहा की इस मंदिर का पांडवो से गहरा नाता है। इस मंदिर में एक प्राचीन ढोल है जिसके बारे में कहा जाता है की ये भीम का ढोल है। इसके अलावा मंदिर में स्थापित पांच शिवलिंगों के बारे में कहा जाता है की इसकी स्थापना स्वयं पांडवों ने की थी। और सबसे प्रमुख गेंहूँ का दाना है जिसे की पांडवों का बताया जाता है। यह गेंहूँ का दाना पुजारी के पास रहता है। यदि आप मंदिर जाए और आपको यह देखना हो तो आपको इसके लिए पुजारी से कहना पड़ेगा। पुरात्तव विभाग भी इन सभी चीज़ों की अति प्राचीन होने की पुष्टि कर चूका है।

पास ही एक मंदिर जिसमे दी जाती नर बलि:

इस मंदिर के पास एक प्राचीन विशाल मंदिर और है जो की सदियों से बंद पड़ा है माना जाता है कि इस मंदिर में प्राचीन समय में भूडा यज्ञ किया जाता था जिसमे की नर बलि भी दी जाती थी। तब भी इस मंदिर में केवल पुजारीयो को ही प्रवेश की अनुमति थी। अब भी इस मंदिर में केवल पुजारी वर्ग को ही जाने की आज्ञा है।
