Marigold Sarovar Portico, Mashobra - A Premium Hotel in Shimla

Nice cozy rooms, location is a little far of from the town center and did not justify with any great views, food was pretty good

This is quite a concerning property to be under 4 star for Sarovar Portico legacy.
One of the worst curated buffet for breakfast and dinner, I have come across. Lack of quality as well as variety. A local group of 70-80 people had their dinner over there under reasonable rates (not staying in property at all). Hence, management informed us that they included us in that only and couldn't provide standard buffet dinner for which huge price was already paid. No possible tries were made initially. It is when they asked feedback and suggestions have been provided by us, than they disclosed the matter regarding a group who were there under budget friendly deal. Very minimal items and highly disappointing. Indeed, they lost few loyal Cx by hiding the facts and showing inability to achieve their own standard and gone down to non- star hotels way. Mr. BK Kaushal GM and Team Sarovar needs to think on serious note if they want to sustain their business in this era.

It was beautiful stay, great place for kids, Excellent activity area.
I would highly recommend. Activities coordinator is very graceful and helpful.

My last stay was excellent, good ambience, helpful and friendly staff, food specially buffet breakfast was awesome. Dinner was also mouth watering. Among the staff everyone did an excellent service. Wish them all the best.

Awesome hotel. Top class house keeping; and they help you in booking cab. And they got delicious food as well. So overall, it was a great experience.

The property seemed promising at the time of booking it on the internet, in reality rooms are dated, booked room with breakfast and dinner. Dinner was supposed to be a buffet but turned out to be a fixed menu with limited variety. Better options available avoid if you can

Please don’t ever book mountain view room with this hotel.you will definitely charge double and when you ask for good mountain view option they will simply say we don’t have any option available & sorry we can’t do anything.

Excellent location with splendid rooms, ambience, services and food. Overall an apt place to spend some quality and peaceful time. Parking is also available within the resort premises. Would love to visit again.

The location of the hotel is very remote, you won't get any public transport available to reach this hotel from shimla. Cabs will take around 1200 from shimla to this hotel, also there are no restaurants near to this hotel, so you will have to do your dining in this hotel and you will be surprised to see the charges of their menu.

Location is exotic and a peaceful as well however, service is really pathetic. This hotel need to work on service and need to increase staff accordingly. Food was the worst part which doesn't suit a 4star hotel. Stayed 3 nights but struggled for bread service.

You will not go wrong if you stay here while in Manali. Good large rooms. Great service from manager and rest of the staff. Good location - 5 minutes car ride to mall road. On the main road facing the river.

Overall the hotel is fantastic

Resort is tucked beautifully among the hills. We really enjoyed every bit of our 3 day stay there. The rooms are spacious, clean and super comfortable. Every staff member was delightful and eager to help. A special mention for Sahil (F&B) for being courteous and help making our stay memorable. We would definately recommend the resort for a comfortable family stay

Had fantastic stay at Marigold mashobra Shimla. Tow things impressed me the most firstly the food and secondly the hotel staff specially Mr. Subharthi Saha doing fantastic job very supportive enthusiastic he made our holiday memorable.
I sincerely hope they maintain their quality standards as I'll surely visit this for my next stay in mashobra shimla.

Great hospitality, courteous staff and yummy buffet spread. This resort is build in a very beautiful and serene location if you want to avoid the hustle bustle of shimla. Peaceful, calm and relaxing place to stay fully equipped with lift. It has beautiful spacious rooms, we stayed in a mountain facing room with private sit out, not to miss Swizz style cottages for big families facing the garden are wonderful. Cute activity area for the kids and my son absolutely loved it. Looking forward to visit again!

Everything about the property is amazing specially the service. The staff was very polite and humble specially subharthi saha. The hotel is remotely located, away from the city and markets. A well maintained hotel with amazing horticulture and greenery. Food is decent enough with a good room size and facilities.

Brilliant food each time (we came 6 times just to have dinner within a persons of one month) we have dropped in. Personalised service by Sahil and Arjun to take care of our tastes is unmatchable. Veg kabab platter is the winner any day. Would highly recommend

I visited shimla last week and took my stay in marrigold as it was recommended by our travel agent.
The stay was up to my expectations. Our room was warm and cost. Staff was polite and helpful specially I would like to mention Mr. SHUBHATHI. It is located little far away from mall road and hassle around with car horns and other noise. I m really impressed and nappy with staff the staff hospitality and looking forward to spending another vacation soon.

Property is very amazing and the staff is very helpfull and polite and specially trainee boy Sawinder singh is very helpfull and good nature person. He provides a very good service. Chef Anil and staff member rajinder also very good person.

Room infrastructure are like hostel type. Space is small in accordance with the price. No scenic view from the hotel rooms. I will definitely not recommend anybody to visit there.

Marigold Sarovar Portico is one of the breathtaking resorts in Mashobra, Shimla. Anyone would get fascinated by its amazing view. There's every possible reasons to give a go to this resort, beautifully covered with greenery scenic landscapes not only great for friends trips but also the as comfortable for family as well. You got to see diverse tropical trees and several adventurous spots. I would highly recommend everyone who loves being with nature should go there and enjoy hilariously. The services and hospitality goes with the name and chain-Anandam Clarks Inn All the staff are so courteous and helpful to give the best experiences to travellers. Being a frequent guest to them, they will ensure that I would have best experiences all the times. Rooms, corridors and lifts are fully sanitised with security guards managing the sanitised entry along with your luggage. Breakfast options and services are amazing, also the room services are best.

The property is located 22 KM away from Shimla and 6 km away from Mashobra.
Beautiful and comfortable.

Sarovar Marie gold resort is situated outside Shimla about 15 km.far from Shimla. It is very good resort with some activities and also far from crowded city of Shimla. It is very good experience of staying here

Nice hotel on the outskirts of Shimla on the Naldehra road. The hotel has excellent facilities, bar, restaurant, terrace restaurant and lawns. Courteous staff and very good service. Provides indoor as well outdoor activities like forest walk, adventure sports, trek for guests.

The location of the hotel is very good. The place is serene, calm and with great view. We were in one of their family room which was spacious, nice with a balcony. Overall room was clean - Sarovar standard but there was dust on the furniture. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it. Their Spa is good and best thing is the activity room.specially if you small kids they will really enjoy the activity room. We really liked their food though service was little slow. Overall it was a great stay.

Awesome cottage experience. Cottage was equipped with all major amenities and additionally with heater and heating bed.

Surroundings arent pretty but hotel of a good standard and food good. Quiet surroundings some way out side Shimla

Property is good. Food is good. Staff is well mannered. BUT HEATER IN COTTAGE ROOM IS USELESS, AND STAFF WAS NOT WILLING TO PROVIDE ANY HELP LIKE EXTRA HEATER, INSTEAD THEY SAID THAT IN PREMIUM ROOMS YOU WILL GET THIS FACILITY ONLY! SO WE SURVIVED -1 DEGREE TEMPRATURE IN FEB 2019 WITHOUT HEATING SYSTEM!

We found this an excellent hotel. Everyone was very polite and friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is very well appointed, amazing breakfasts, and an excellent restaurant. The lobby is a great place for meeting friends or for a relaxing drink at the bar. Being centrally located was also a bonus

Firstly, very nice ambience, extremely well kept. Rooms are spacious n amenities are good and good quality bath products. Food is 5 star, all meals were consistently high on taste, quality and authenticity. Surprisingly both South Indian and North Indian food had same standard. Highly courteous staff. We packed breakfast for early travel on checkout day. Here they missed one item and did not meet the ask for another. Hence not rating 5 star. They are slightly away from City centre, hence it takes 30 mins to get to city center like mall road etc. Any room service asks were very promptly and courteously responded. Being located a little away from the otherwise crowded Shimla, it is quite peaceful. Nice property and good food.

Overrated hotel, Un-welcomed staff, they could not clear out what they wanted to say when we checked in, also dinner and breakfast not to be touched. We stayed Sarovar P at Bhavnagar, Gujarat just 3 weeks back and it was amazing, that’s why choose this, but it was total disaster. Such deep from the Town Hall. Best place to stay in Simla would be near Town Hall. Avoid been going far in search of good hotels, just stay near the city center and enjoy and save your time.
