The bamboo cottages were the worst.a big spider spotted in the cottage, water was not coming from the bathroom taps.staff was kinda ok.activities were good.overall the experience was not that good.
"A Nightmarish Experience at Mahobra Greens: Tale of Broken Windows, Pathetic Food, Tantrums, and More"
For those who want it quick: Avoid Mahobra Greens at all costs: broken windows, pathetic food, uncleaned rooms, and an incompetent staff make for a nightmarish experience.
For those who like stories: I regret to say that my recent stay at Mahobra Greens was nothing short of a nightmare. This hotel failed miserably in every aspect, from its dilapidated infrastructure to its appalling amenities and unprofessional staff. I cannot stress enough how utterly disappointing and unpleasant my time at this establishment was. Let's start with the broken windows and doors, which were not only a security concern but also allowed outside noise and elements to intrude upon the rooms. The lack of maintenance and disregard for guest safety was shocking, to say the least. The fact that such basic elements of a hotel were neglected reflects a severe lack of care and attention to detail. The culinary experience at this hotel was beyond pathetic. The food served was of abysmal quality, tasteless, and poorly presented. I was left wondering if any effort had been put into the preparation and selection of ingredients. The lack of variety was disheartening, and I found myself struggling to find a single dish that was remotely enjoyable. It was a complete disappointment and a waste of money. The washroom facilities were equally deplorable. To my horror, I discovered spider webs adorning the corners of the bathroom, which clearly indicated a lack of cleanliness and attention to hygiene. The wet bedsheets I encountered upon arrival were stained, and to make matters worse, I discovered hair and even lipstick marks on them. It was a repulsive sight that left me feeling disgusted and violated. The fact that such unhygienic conditions were overlooked is absolutely unacceptable. The level of cleanliness throughout the hotel was abysmal. The floors appeared as if they hadn't been cleaned in ages, with dirt and debris scattered everywhere. It was evident that the hotel staff lacked a basic understanding of cleanliness standards and failed to maintain a decent environment for guests. Adding to my frustration was the incredibly unprofessional and inept staff. Their lack of knowledge, rudeness, and disregard for guest needs were astonishing. Any attempt to seek assistance or address the issues I encountered was met with apathy and indifference. It was clear that the staff was ill-prepared and untrained in providing even basic customer service, further contributing to the overall terrible experience.
Considering the broken windows and doors, the pathetic food, the unsanitary washroom conditions, the presence of spider webs, the stained and hair-infested bedsheets, the perpetually dirty floors, and the utterly inept staff, I wholeheartedly discourage anyone from staying at Mahobra Greens. This establishment falls far below the most basic standards of hospitality and care. I strongly urge potential guests to explore other accommodation options that prioritize guest comfort, cleanliness, and professionalism.
3000 was not worth it. I would have stayed in a car rather. IN the cottages i was sharing room with some huge wild looking spiders and some snakes too.
Should visit this place. Very good service, clean rooms and yummylicous good. Also, Sandeep the owner took care of all things and provides all facilities. Safe for girls. Beautifull view and there is live music and bonfire. Must visit place in Himachal Pradesh.
Recommended place. Everything is good from place to fooding to people. Pandit g service is incredible
Sandeep owner is the best one with superb knowledge about forest.night tracking experience is superb with instructor sahil and of course with sandeep sir
Superb cottages. Great service. Food served and prepared is kid friendly. They also have arrangements for activities like zip line, rappelling and valley crossing. Short jungle hike trail is near by and views are picture perfect.
Hospitality and food is good. 2km down the hill road is dangerous which on a rainy day or during snow fall becomes even worse. Cottages are ok - different experience under open sky. Steel cups to serve tea - forget hygiene. Bed sheets and mattresses are old.
The better a way to experience the goodness of nature than to stay right in its arms. The lush hills of Mashobra make up for perfect camping grounds for thrill seekers. When one avails a Mashobra tour package for camping, they get to enjoy a combination of things to do around Mashobra like adventure activities, lodging, food, bonfires and many more services. Amazing service and experience. Guys must visit this place for peace and to enjoy the nature. And explore many sports over there.
Best place for small trip. Nice surrounding (Jungle and Hills). Food quality is very good, very good service by staff and well behaviour by staff members. Must visit.
Name of the place in itself describes that it is in the middle of nature surrounded by mountains and jungles. Camps as described are same and upto the mark, Service is also very good with limited food options. Given 3 stars bcoz of the road to the camps, not advisable for people who are driving self as roads to the camps are worst and parking beside the hills at owner's risk
Very nice place for staying, partying wit frns n family good wit good test but little pricey. All the members of the cottage are Well behaved. Location is also very good.
Only 11 km from main shimla. Cottages are cleaned, managed, separate with nice views.
Prices are depends upon the availability and season's. 3k to probably 6-7k.
But i have some issues like food is only available by 10 pm. When Cottages are full, sometimes kitchen staffs are not able to Manage but its fine, it happens.
One most important thing that is hot water is only available from 6 or 7 am to 9 or 10 am. (अब यार इत्ती ठंड में वो भी इत्ती सुबह कौन नहाता है) Overall all me n my friends experience are very good.
An excellent resort with adventure sports facilities. Tariff is including Tea, Snacks, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, which are quite tasty. More than value for money.
A perfect place for a calm and peaceful stay surrounding by serene natural beauty.
I stayed at the lower camping area amongst the two options. The complete setup seems to be newly built and is well maintained.
They have two kinds of stays, one being the tent and other is cottage. I stayed at both of them and would personally recommend the cottage. Cottages are spacious with tidy washrooms. Food is unexpectedly really yum that we generally don't expect in such setups. They have nearby spots for adventure sports too.
The only thing you might find an issue is the time it takes to reach the cottage from the main Mashobra road. Better opt for a jeep, if you aren't comfortable with a 25-30 mins trek down the mountain.
Nice Location. But Poorly Managed. The Manager Yatin is very unprofessional. Not Safe place for Families. Group of Guys Drunk, creating nuisance. Washrooms very Smelly. Not Recommended for Families and Couples.
Pathetic Rooms. Smelly Washrooms. May b ok for solo travelers or bachelors but Big NO for Families & Couples. Staff is nice snd helpful, within tgeir limited capacity. Their Manager Jatin is a Overclever Guy. Beware of him.
One of the best experiences I have had staying here. The place, people (staff+the boss) the perfect team. Cozy cottages with amazing view, Some fun activities that doesn't let you be lazy. Amazing food which was the best there, Bonfire to beat the cold evenings, This place is just perfect to spend time with your peeps. Totally recommend this place to everyone who plans a stay in Shimla.
Great views, improved cottages in large numbers, tents are also comfortable mind the bugs though.last 1 km route is very treacherous but will offer great adrenaline rush. Food is really good! Enjoy your stay!
