Located at a prime place, in the vicinity of Vidhan Sabha etc MES Shimla must have seen many adventures in its hay days when govt accommodation were limited. If the rooms are facing the road then you get a classic look of the pahad. Otherwise the tiny waiting area near the steps gives a great view point.
It is a old wooden structure which has seen many renovations and has coped up well with the changing times. Rooms are spacious and linens are clean. Bathrooms are well lit and big with modern fittings. Number of staff is limited and the choices regarding food is limited so we ordered from outside.
It is a great accommodation if it's kept in mind that it's at a nominal price and is not a commercial hotel. Great going.

Amazing place and food. If you want to enjoy whole view of Shimla, thn this place is perfect.
