Monkey Point, Sanjeevni Hanuman Temple, Kasauli

The main temple (Manki Point) is located inside a military cantonment area, hence all types of electronic gadgets are prohibited beyond a certain checking point about 1km before the ascension point of the mandir (point where the stairs begin).
The mandir has about 300 stairs. The top point has a shop for Prasad and some small eateries.

Overall, it's a must visit if you are in Kasauli. Total exploration time is 2.5-3 hours (including the commute from the bus stand till the checking point).

First of all I want to say something that this is not monkey point, it is 'mannki point', and here is more greenery compare to Shimla,

A significant place for Hanuman worship. A small Hanuman temple, 500 mts high hill, may be around 400 steps. May be difficult to climb for senior citizens. Takes an hour to climb up and down. Secured place as it is inside Indian Air Force space. ID card required to enter. Phones, bags etc needs to be kept in a facility provided at entrance.

Mandir photos are not available bcz all electronic devices were submitted by Air Force bcz of safety reasons. Beware of Monkeys please don't carry any items above not even a bottle of water or bag. They ll snatch it for sure and can even hurt you. Leave the Prasad of Mandir also above only.

It's a 15 mins climb from the air force base station.
Mobile phone, smart watches, bags are not allowed inside, it has to be deposited at the counter or you can keep in your car.

There is an army souvenir shop inside the air force station as well open for general public

As per a legend of the Ramayana, when Lord Hanuman was returning from the Himalayas after getting the magical herb 'Sanjivani Booti', his foot touched Kasauli hilltop and that's the reason this place is named as Monkey Point. This point is famous for hosting a small temple that is dedicated to Lord Hanuman.

Mobile phones and other electronic devices are restricted there so can't share temple pic. I think this was the peakest point in kasauli when I visited and i found this at manki point

The peace at the temple is worth the climb.
Lunch time at the pass issuing counter is 1: 00 pm to 1: 30 pm.
Please make sure not to carry anything that is not permitted. As far as water bottle is concerned, carry as small as possible. There are monkeys on the path and will snatch anything in your hand but will not bother you if you don't bother them.

A 40 minute walk from the parking stand and a 15 steep minute climb from Air Force Station gate. The temple closes at 5pm, so plan your visit accordingly. Mobile phones/other electronic items have to be deposited at the AFS gate.

It Is a good Place to Visit For Looking hole Kasauli. While Waking to this Place you can Start From the Baptist Church, Gilbert Trail and manki Point.

You can be see peaceful because there is no electronics allowed. So far sometime you can find other colleagues taking which is rare to find in this outside world.

After Completing the Visit By Coming down see the Sunset Point and Kasauli Brewery and Mall Road Shopping

Lots of adventure But not at all for heart patient and blood pressure patient. Security is high because of air force base

No body will tell you details of this visit.
First of all this point is inside Indian Airforce campus. So you are not allowed to take ane kind of electronic gadget. Care taker for these items is available with open loker and they charge you by number if electronic gadgets.

Second when you enter in Kasauli for this visit local body will charge you fee, it does not matter weather it is private car or taxi.

The way to this place is not so easy to go even in car. Road conditions are bad even when this is the way for Air Force Station.

People who have problems with back and legs should not go for this Trip.

Good place but you need to be very careful there as there are lot of monkeys and they are so aggressive so it is advisable that do not take any eatables in your hands.

Sanjeevani Hanuman temple is worth a visit in Kasauli.
It is believed that while carrying the Sanjivini,
Lord Hanuman rested here by keeping one of his feet on the hill here and another foot at the Jakhu Mandir Hill in Shimla.
Timings: 9: 30 am - 3: 30pm
Before going to the temple, check the timings. It opens at 09: 30 am.

A very peaceful place.

Hanuman temple and must visit place. There is walk for 500m and then climb stairs for another 500m. Anyone who has habbit to walk, can easily reach the point. Senior citizen in case suffering due to knee pain may find it challenging. At the top, there is foot print of Hanuman jee while returning with Sanjeevani booti. Temple is built on foot print. Nice view from the top. Awesome view from top. Camera, mobile phone and other electronic items are not allowed here, one had to submit while entering.
We reached this place through taxi that we picked from Christ Church. This place need 1.5 hrs of time.

Excellent experience in climbing the hill and taking Darshan of Hanumanji

Hanumanji's moorty is pleasant and assuring the blessings. Close to it are Shriram, Sitaji and Lakshman moorty. All are marble and very pleasant!

As it needs to cross the Airforce gate, the electronic devices are not allowed including the fitness watch.

To reach this point one can either get a taxi or walk from Mall road. It's around 4km if you want to walk and it's doable for almost everyone. Once you reach the main entry point, you'll have to show an ID card and deposit any bag and electronics equipment (smartphone/smartwatch/cameras) as most of the reviews mentioned. There is a small deposit fee (50 for a bag with 2 phones). From the main entrance you'll still need to walk 5 mins to reach the main stairway, from where you can get to the top. The view at the top is great but if you're unlucky (like me) and go when there's foggy weather you won't be able to fully appreciate it. The only flaw is that there's no decent food points in the whole complex. The closest one is on the Mall road.

Its Man-ki (of heart) point also known as Sanjeevani Hanuman Mandir. Have to go up walking on the mountain via a dedicated stairs pathway. It is inside Air force station (kasauli).

So peaceful and beautiful place to visit. It is on peak of the hills of Kasauli.
You need to be fully vaccinated otherwise you won't be allowed to pass the security.
Phones, baggages, snacks and electronic devices are not allowed in there because of the increased cases of monkeys snatching these items.
Taxis' fare is very high.

This place is restricted for visitors due to covid 19 pandemic but don't worry mall road is functioning.

The scenic view from here is just breathtaking, beaware of monkeys, the best timing to visit is late afternoon.

As there are hills all around and it is the highest peak among all the hills available there.
A good hill station to visit in Kasauli.
There are many other places nearby to visit.
There is a temple of bajrangbali and so many monkeys are there, ‌ also you have to be careful from monkeys.

Today i am here just because of my fav and my dearest asha didu ️ her childhood education and life i just want to live like all for 1 days and collect all good memories. From here ️️️

Monkey point was closed during our visit. The road to the point is narrow and risky. And after reaching there we realise its closed. We found people walking 1 to 2 km from their hotels to the point. I pity their efforts to find the point closed. It is a single lane road but vehicles from both lane cross at the same time making it too dangerous. It's too cold and wearing sweaters, overcoat, winter caps gloves is advisable.

The Mankipoint climbing 200 staircases starts through one of the Defence establishment in Kasauli area. The area is "unsafe" for the tourists. As any time he/she could be attacked by the wild monkeys for want of foods or any other articles in possession of the tourists. "Take care" before you enter the area and start climbing.

Nothing there to watch. Only go there if you are a devotee. Terrible overrated don't waste your time.and u can't take photos as the place is inside defence area

Manki point is situated at 6500 feet height at air force station Kasauli. You need to take pass outside airforce campus. Mobile and other electronic devices are totally prohibited. 3 kms from Kasauli market from lower mall road. Own conveyance. Parking is outside camp area on side of road. Hanuman g temple on the top. Took 15 minutes to reach from stairs starting point. Don't feed and tease the monkey.

Too gud location. The temple is built in such a way that the entire hill ranges are visible. It has a short and sweet history associated, about Lord Hanuman. His feet touched this hill while he was traversing from Himalayas to Sri Lanka with the jadi buti. Be careful about the monkeys over this place. They are bold, ferocious and extremely intelligent. They don't do anything to you while you remove your shoes n chappals and go inside the temple for darshan, but they closely keep on monitoring you at the shop and inside the temple. In case u buy anything they are aware about it. The time comes when u come out of the temple and again go to wear Ur shoes. They come to you. If you are holding some eatables in Ur hand forget it. Even if u have kept something in Ur pockets, they will hold Ur leg, if u readily give it, they don't do any harm. If u don't, they will not allow u to walk away and will inspect Ur pockets. If u remove all things from Ur pocket and show it to them that there's no eatables, they let u go. Extremely intelligent. The climbing up n down is a pleasure. Mus go.

Amazing view from temple very nice place must go.walking distance is a little long so not recommended for people who can’t walk far.hanuman bhakt must visit this place

Very peaceful and relaxing place. Cool air will chill up your mind and soul.

Have patience to step up some foot-stairs till Hanuman Ji temple to get best experience of this place. It's worth of that patience.)

It is the top most point. 4 kms away from main gate. Either you can walk all way which is not recommended because it is so much tiresome or come in your personal car. Along the way there is hardly any drinking water or any food available. After reaching top point You needs to very lucky so that you can see something like foothills or rivers far and wide provided there is clear sky. Otherwise nothing good to see here. Full of monkeys, who are constantly looking to snatch away any edibles you have. A small temple of lord hanuman on top point and a small restaurant which serves average cooked and packed food here.

Nice location to see and Lord Hanuman temple here too. This is also called monkey point because there are alot of monkeys. So be careful and do keep bag with you while you are going to tample because monkey can attack on you to get food, and be brave and courageous enough to reach to monkey point.

DIA great place in Kasauli. But u have to really walk up the steps. It's believed that Lord Hanuman had kept his left foot here while jumping with the Sanjeevani booti to Lanka.
It's called mon ki as it's believed that whatever u ask for will be fulfilled.
It also offers a great view from top. However there are a huge number of monkeys there creating menace. (That's why some people wrongly think that the name is given manki, a hindi-ised version of monkey)
No cameras or mobiles are permitted. So u need to keep it with the guide before climbing. It's a must. Coz the monkeys will anyway snatch it from u. So please don't take the risk

It's a very nice and joyful place where lord hanuman step his left foot while carrying the sanjeevani herb (so named as shree sanjeev ani hanuman mandir) and the right foot in shimla jakhu temple, pls carry valuable item due to monkey menace.

Very peaceful place and extremely high vibrations for the seeker. Air Force Station team has done a great job in maintaining the temple and the pathway leading to it. Must visit.

Lord Hanuman temple is the top point of manki point.

It's a reasonably ok place if you have some religious beliefs. Monkey around are a big nuisance and they will stop you and search you for eatables. Recommended you don't carry any eatables.

The walk up to monkey point using Gilbert trail is awesome.sad the army does not let you go up to monkey using this route
