This cafe is located in the main market and very easy to access. We tried the coffee cake and their macchiato. They have seats outside and also a cozy sitting arrangement inside the cafe. Would love to vist them again and some more items from their menu.
A great Cafe with good coffee choices & foods, delicious, fresh, cozy and very centralised location at Temple Street. Great Sunset View while having coffee or Dinner directly in front of the Cafe. Most importantly, most of the ingredients are prepared naturally and fresh. A must visit restaurant / Cafe in Mcleodganj.
Food is good but customer service is quite selective. They pick and choose customers out of the ones who are allowed to use the washroom which is offensive and uncouth. It's been 6 months and in this span everytime I've gone there, heard them say their washroom has no water. I have mostly been believing them but today when I saw other customers using the washroom, it was quite disappointing. I had to take my dad who is nearing 72 to some other restaurant, requesting the owners to let us use the washroom.
Chicken burger is not not like your MCD. Its perfect fresh Chicken breast cooked and served.
Service is slow as they make it fresh but Tasty and very Hospitable. GOOD Lemon Mint Kooler. 2 Burgers, 1 Ham sandwich, 2 Hot bevs, 1 Kooler will set u back by 1₹₹₹. No CC accepted. Cash and UPI only
Tasty food. All freshly baked / cooked. Can actually feel the freshness in the taste. Highly recommended, must try their carrot cake and almond cake. Very comfortable setup and ambience. We have been having atleast one meal every day at this cafe during our trips to mcleodganj. Must try cafe for everyone.
There are lot of restaurants in Mcleodganj that will promise you himanchali food but largely they will serve typical punjabi food, but Moonpeak serves authentic himanchali food and that too freshly cooked. It takes time for one to be served because I assume they start cooking once they receive the order. You will not be bored while waiting since there is lot of people watching that you can do on the temple road. They also have lot of cakes, and they all look delicious but after eating a delicious thali, had no place to stuff more food
Ahhh the best Cafe ever! The food is amazing & so very delicious. They have a diverse menu and make everything fresh in their kitchen- including fresh burger buns & even sour dough bread! The coffee is the best in Mcleod Ganj! Ashwini, the owner is very attentive and helpful. The staff is also very kind and friendly. A foodies dream! Easy to get to on Temple Road in Mcleod Ganj. They also sell fresh cheese & have always have a selection of freshly baked goods. A must visit! Thank you Moon Peak!
The best coffee in McLeodganj. The food here is as good. Moonpeak also serves traditional Himachali food, which is authentic and great tasting. The chicken and mutton curries as well as the veg black gram curry, lentil vedai etc were excellent.a good change for the palate from the pizzas, pasta and momos.
Had a couple of delicious meals at Moonpeak Deli and I must admit that it lives up to its expectations.
Their Himachali Thali and pastries are a must try. The above mentioned dishes are decadent with flavour and well balanced. I thoroughly enjoyed every dish ordered.
Quality, portion size and pricing is nominal. A must try dish here would be Coffee ricotta cake!
If you are in Mcleodganj and are looking for a good morning breakfast or evening coffee/snacks place then this is really a good option to visit
Highly hospitable staff and owner, gives a small but cosy cafe/ restaurant feeling where you can have enjoy conversations with friends over coffee/ food - away from maddening touristy crowd outside, Food quality and taste is also pretty decent.
This place has significantly raised it's prices from the menu given here. I paid 350 bucks for a smoked chicken omlette which I expected to fill 2 people, but got disappointed in quality and quantity. Price wise everything seemed exhorbitant, costing 2x or 3x without having the proportionate quantity or quality to claim for. I'm sure there are a lot of other cafes that offers better taste and value of money.
The bathroom was out of order and they didn't have any payment method except cash. At a time even the street vendors have UPI, it's a shame they don't have one.
Amazing food! Amazing taste! I would have given 5 stars. But the thing that put me down the most was their service. It took way too long for the order to be ready. Otherwise, everything is perfect. No issues in food. A big thumbs up for that. It's recommended.
One of the best cafe and bakery shop in MacLeod. I used to take away their sour dough breads and multigrain breads. They were hand made and really delicious. One should try their multigrain breads. Apart from that the ambience is very good They have both indoor and outdoor sitting. And their THALI is also one of the famous thing.so one can give it a try too. Staff is very polite and humble.
Best food in Mcleodganj - love the fact that everything is made in-house, from sourdough breads, jams, cakes to cheese. Vibe is great, place is hygienic and the staff is kind/friendly. Only thing is the toilet could be cleaner and have a tissue box/dispenser.
It's one of the best cafes I have experienced till now. Excellent food, simple yet appealing interiors, attentive and courteous service. Followed by coffee and I was pleasantly surprised as I am particular about the beans and how the coffee is made. All an all a brilliant experience, value for money and the place had a tranquil kind of soul. Very rarely am I generous with my feedback. Made my day
A wonderful place to start your day with. Ordered macchhita coffee, honey ginger lemon tea, carrot spice cake and last but not the least and amazing, veg omelette. The coffee was perfect strong with a shot of milk on it and taste was superb. The ginger honey lemon tea was perfect to the taste buds. The slice of ginger was adding amazing taste. Carrot spice was must have and their omelette was something we never tasted. Must have
The food is horrible, really not worth a try too. Coffee is okay but except that please do not think of ordering anything there. Service is also bad. They do not accept card payments.
The original Mcleodganj coffee shop. And still the all time favourite for visiting ‘Dharamsalawallahs’ to catch up. An excellent place for breakfast, coffee, cake and conversation with photojournalist, botany enthusiast and intrepid walker, Ashwini Bhatia.
Just good for coffee. Service wasn’t great, as they forgot about my porridge, left me waiting for 30 minutes and when it turned up it wasn’t good at all, with no apology.
This is a small himachali restaurant. We had himachali thali and Rogan Josh here. While the himachali thali was homely, didn't enjoy the Rogan Josh. The mutton pieces were not at all good.
They have a very small Indian toilet. So a typical small place. Just go there for a quick himachali thali
Tried Himachali thali n I can say its their signature dish. Very delicious n authentic. Cakes are also very delicious. Full marks to the service. Very warm n pleasant ambiance. Really enjoyed.
The food! Those looking to have a proper Himachali Thali should definitely visit here. Their Mutton curry is to not be missed. Polite and attentive serving staff, placed in the middle of the market. They don't serve tha Thali on Monday's but there's other options that do equal justice. There was an assortment of cakes there that I didn't try but they looked absolutely scrumptious.
One mostly needs to know where they can access washrooms in a busy market, this place is one of them.
Very close to the Dalai Temple, this place is a must visit for breakfast. Old cafe charm, no fancy interior. Fresh food TIP: Try ginger honey lemon tea + carrot cake + 3 egg omlette (either with tomatoes or spinach) Very clean and open joint for chilling out. Tuna sandwich is bit bland but delightful Many not enjoy Assam tea. FLIP side: cards not accepted (hope they start accepting soon)
Great Himachal Thali plate complete with curries, rice, kheer, and chapatis. Only knocked off one star because I read they served a Tibetan thali, and they no longer serve that dish here. Food ordered was excellent, and nature ambiance inside is charming too
Rated as one of the best espressos in HP and especially Mcloedganj, that's the claim however I wouldnt know. At present, and one cant be sure of how long, this particular coffee shop does not actually have a coffee machine, yes believe it. So my elixir for this morning is a black coffee.instant I imagine. The signs on the window show a praised past, 2013,2014 trip advisor awards for espresso. 4 years on.can they, or should they be still proudly displaying such feats?
Omelet was quite nice considering I'm not an omelette person, but it seems to be all that's on offer on the menu that contains eggs.
They also went out of their way to provide me with a single cigarette to have with my coffee. It was out of their way as I saw one staff member running down the street to buy one for me. A pleasant and welcome service gesture which I really appreciate. I havent smoked in a while now. But an instant black coffee just tastes better when some nicotine and various chemicals are also rolling over the palate.
