Nestled in a picturesque setting, Morgan's Place offers a decent dining experience with a stunning view that captivates the eyes. While the cafe itself is not extraordinary, it provides a pleasant enough atmosphere for a casual meal. It is a place that falls somewhere in the middle - not exceptional, but not disappointing either.
The highlight of Morgan's Place lies in its scenic surroundings. The view is truly breathtaking, allowing diners to soak in the natural beauty while enjoying their meal. Whether it's overlooking a serene lake, a lush green landscape, or a vibrant cityscape, the view adds an element of tranquility and serenity to the dining experience.
In terms of the cafe itself, it is functional and serves its purpose. The menu offers a decent variety of dishes, catering to different preferences. However, it may not offer a wide range of exceptional culinary creations or unique flavors that truly stand out.
While Morgan's Place may not have that distinctive factor that attracts guests for repeated visits, it still makes for a pleasant one-time experience. It can be a suitable spot for a casual outing or a relaxed gathering with friends or family. If you are in search of a beautiful view complemented by an average dining experience, Morgan's Place may fit the bill.
Overall, Morgan's Place is an okay place to grab a bite, but its captivating view is what truly sets it apart. For those in search of a picturesque backdrop to their meal, a visit to Morgan's Place may suffice, but it may not leave a lasting impression that warrants repeated visits.
I used to absolutely love their food a year ago. Mrs. Morgan’s in Goa and McLeodganj serve pretty decent South Indian food and Morgan’s place used to have amazing pizzas. This appears to be a thing of the past now. Poorly managed restaurant with lack of service and courtesy from untrained smug staff.
Zero Hygiene - Found two bugs in the pizza which were baked in the cheese. Upon highlighting the delicious servings of bugs with my order, the staff couldn’t care less and walked off with an attitude.
Not expected of a food outlet, this is how the decline starts. Wouldn’t be visiting again.
Went here for some coolers after a long hike. The view is absolutely amazing however the service is damn slow. We ordered coffee and a lime soda and that took more than 40 mins. We were already exhausted so that honestly didn't help the situation.
Ambience perfect service was ok ok but whatever hype people made for pizza over here was totally wrong, it's really worst pizza I ever tried in my life, and also worst garlic toast I had. I heard that Morgan's get best pizza in Town and after review I went to this place but I am total disappointed and as per cost toh it's really worst pizza bcz so high prices are there for pizza without taste. It just ambience was perfect for the place orelse service and food I toh don't like. (it's my personal opinion)
P. S - guys come on plz give real and true reviews or comments.there are best location than this for pizza lovers in dharamkot. (Like it's my personal opinion)
A really, really delicious place, we had an insanely expensive Friday dinner here, and Morgan gives personal attention to all the customers, it's fun to come and sit here
Beautiful place. Everything about this place is worth a mention. Scrumptious food + Mesmerizing View + Chilled Beer + Smokey Sheesha…. What else do you want… must visit.
Loved the atmosphere and the location of this place. Service and food is great. Very reasonable and the quality of food is good. Recommend to visit with family and friends.
More than the food.view to the mountain was amazing.also if you upload your selfie and tag it with Morgan's place then you will get one complementary dessert
The place is good and tidy, The food served is yum and Amazing. The pizza is good and almost all the items on the menu is good. Downside here is terrible music which would probably kill your appetite.
Very less quantity of the food, ordered fried fish fingers which were just pathetic. The fish was like jelly. Risotto was nice. We had to wait for 45 minutes for a single dish.
Not many vegetarian options in pizza and starters, but the dishes we ordered were all good. Would definitely recommend the place for ambience and the views you get if the valley
Pizza has authentic taste. Seating arrangement offers a good mountain view. However, the service needs to be inproved. Pricing is much on a steeper side, several items are over priced.
Pizza: yum Fish fingers: yum Beer: chilled Hukkah: they change the coal thrice and if you request nicely even the fourth time. The view: awesome view of the stars in the night sky and the mountain in front. You can choose to sit indoors, without your shoes, outdoors on the terrace or upstairs on the first floor. Morgan's is just a short walk away from upper dharamkot. Must visit if you are staying in any of the nearby guesthouses or hostels. It's a 10-15 mins walk from Alt Life Hostels. The only thing I found weird was they give you a kacha bill yet charge 8%gst. They also have wifi. So, go chill at Morgan's!
Cafe is located at height overlooking mountains. Considering the location it's a fantastic place but if u are going to enjoy great food, u will be a little disappointed. Price wise it's a little exorbitant and the quantity as well as presentation of food is not admirable. Adding on to it parking is a issue if u planning to go by XUV rest is upto u.
One of the best places to have pizza in dharamkot and also it has beautiful view from the outside sitting area. Usually the weather is nice in the hills but if visiting summers and the day is bright and hot please prefer to have indoor sitting as they don't have provision of fans outside. Also try mint mind cooler drink if you are looking for something refreshing.
Best pizza in town, there pan thin pizza is crispy fresh and mouth watering, take the first bite and get lost in flavours (best part is its cooked in mud wood oven which gives smoky flavor) View is beautiful too Only dish that needs improvement is lamb chops which was not good smells spoiled but still will give it 5 stars bcz of pizza and view
Visited this hyped place with my friend for the first time. Staff is arrogant and rude. Totally unprofessional I must say. We ordered Greek salad, pizza and drinks. For which the cover charges were higher than the actual MRP. Unexpectedly they dont even have beer mugs to serve, seriously! Now comes Poor presentation, along with poor taste. Greek salad was too sour, 1 olive to be precise, lettuce was stale. And better not to talk about pizza quality. What more, on questioning the quality, the highly professional staff served us plate full of arrogance and sarcastic comments! When we pay we expect quality and service. Totally unacceptable. Post that we were convinced that ordering something will ruin our visit. So we left.
Even a road side shop in mountainous places provide service with politeness, decent food, or least they are open to feedback!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU WANT TO SPOIL THE OUTING MOOD OR GET INTO ARGUMENTS!
What a gem of a place! Visited last winters and it was an escape from the regular corona time. Love the Concept and the view is to die for! The ambience is very Amazing. Another level vibe and the food too. (Pancakes are a must to try)
So after 2014 today was my second trip to Morgan's. This time my order was a ginger lemon honey and a Margherita pizza. I guess I was the first guy to order pizza at their restaurant at around 11 and so the pizza that came out was not really good. It had burnt crust, almost no cheese and some how the sauce didn't taste right. I informed the server so he took it back. He came and apologize for the bad experience and requested to wait for some more time. But I should tell you that the pizza came later was worth the wait, exactly what I expected from Morgan's. Nicely done thin crust pizza with bubbly cheese and the pizza sauce actually tasted fresh. The only thing that was missing on the pizza both time was Basil, But still two thumbs up to the place and I am definitely going back soon. I highly recommend the place for good food, good hospitality n great view.
The worst experience wherein there was no proper system set in the cafe. They have no respect for the people visiting the cafe. It is very sad to see people exploiting business at the cost of values for which Himachal is well known. I have been associating warmth, simplicity, truthfulness and other such qualities with Himachalis. However, my experience at this cafe was a total no no. We must all raise concerns about the way these people treat costomers. Let's all prefer cafes which offers respect for all. There are better places you can try at Dharamkot like trek and dine, pizzeria that still offer warmth what we want in Himachal, warmth and hospitality.
Nice atmosphere, nice place for italian recepices. The staffs are incredible. They all look like talented person, they know how to perfectly take care of the customers and to entertain them. Excellent staffs. Friendly and homely cuisines.
Best Italian restaurant that I've ever been. All dishes are elegant with great chef touch. Kinda not that much expensive but very tasty worth it for recipes. The Degustation menu is a absolute must try. The dishes are well-proportioned and designed. Mocktails are decent, I expected more. Warm & welcoming service. Pricey for sure, but it's all worth it.
This is a lovely place to hangout with friends in the valley. So, you would be surrounded with mountains. Soak yourself in the sunlight as you enjoy the delicious dishes they serve. Pizzas or pastas, everything is classic here. I never had a better white pasta anywhere. There are 3 different sitting areas, so you have choices per your preferences. The washroom is also available and is clean. If there wasn’t a rush, I would have stayed at the place for the whole day.
A little side adventure into the mountains. It has a great view of the mountains and is nestled beautifully in the scenary. The food is Italian and is prepared well. Service was impressive with little or no wait time. Drinks are a bit limited with one beer and one wine available. The hot chocolate that we ordered was a disaster, but I feel that the coffee would've been good.
The best part were the pizzas that seemed to melt in your mouth. The outside sitting is great with the view of the entire Dharamshala there.
Music is a constant distraction, as they want to project a chic vibe, but really, it's the mountains and the silence is often the only tune you need.
It was a third day in Dharamkot for me. Recommended by a friend I couldn't visit Morgan's since itvwas raining. But I wanted to try it out. So I had to go for a home delivery. I ordered Siciliana Pizza, since I'm crazy about pizzas. Sorry but I had a okay experience. The pizza got cold thou they got it in a box. And also taste wise it was not as per expecations and also I paid an amount which wasn't worthy. So, speaking only for myself, I had an average experience from Morgan's.
On a busy day when there is lot of footfall, the quality of food gradually decreases. The view of dhauladhar ranges is amazing though. But as a foodie we are there for food which dissapointed me on a busy sunday.
It was a 4.5 star earlier but in my last visit last month I did note a little decrease in standards and variety. So 4 star now. But still the best place in Dharamkot and in the top 5 in dharamshala area. Nice place to go in a group.
Went there twice in 2 days. Pizzas are a must try. Rest of the menu is great and reasonably priced as well. The indoor decor is artsy, outdoors provide a mesmerizing view of the mountains. Just wish they would've hurried up with the food though! (Almost waited an hour)
A quirky place based on Alice in Wonderland! Must visit for continental food. Best for paninis, sizzlers and pizzas! The desserts also looked appealing:)
Morgan's cafe is tucked away inside the Upper Dharamkot and if you don't notice it's board, you are most likely to miss it.the cafe is a warm beautiful place made up of some nice posters and a balcony arena giving a beautiful mountainview. Their food is nice and staff is awesome.they would play any of the songs you request. A good place to chill out with your friends. I wished they had some books as well for solo souls like me to keep company while seeping warm tea looking at the mountains.
They have done up this place nicely but no words can do justice to the beauty of Dharamkot. Dharamkot is a must visit place on your visit to Dharamshala/McLeod Ganj. Morgan's place serves tasty dishes. Their Ginger Lemon Honey lacks Honey (some sugar syrup is added), they should do something for this.
This alive in wonderland themed cafe is in dharamkot. It's a 20 to 25 mins hike from main Mcleodganj market. The food here is delicious and you can enjoy it with the view of the mountains. The staff is friendly. You should definitely try their lemon honey ginger beverage in cold weather.
