The museum is ok. You can visit here and see the vintage articles that people of HP used in yesteryears. Not fully maintained. The price of the tkt is INR 20. You can take photos and videos inside the museum. It's near to hidimba temple.
The Museum is a completely unique and awesome series of unknown and rare antiques of the kingdom. It demonstrates the almost extinct articles that in reality show the forgotten culture, artwork and handicraft of Himachal Pradesh. The Museum shows fashions of temples, antique houses and forts, conventional dresses, utensils, musical and ritual units, timber carvings and diverse other articles. The museum is lovely but many artifacts and historic gadgets that can be of fascination to people journeying the location. totally encouraged in case you want to get to recognise the local ancient history of the region. The museum is clean and well maintained and much less crowded for the reason that it would not appear to be a museum. it's very well embellished with precise collectives of historical time.
No one there for guiding or taking care of this place nor explaining the information about things kept there, people are visiting inside with no common sense, making noise touching the artefacts and so on.i suggest the authority to give someone authority to take care of the museum.
The Museum is a unique and extraordinary collection of rare antiques of the state. It demonstrates the articles that clearly display the forgotten culture, art and handicraft of Himachal Pradesh.
This is must visit and has less looked after. Its cheap to enter this place and take a view of the culture of Himachal and history. Often not visited i guess.well maintained and nice history. You have to swim thru the shopping lanes to reach this place.
The museum is beautiful but many artifacts and historical objects that can be of fascination to people visiting the place. Totally recommended if you want to get to know the local ancient history of the place. The museum is clean and well maintained and less crowded given that it doesn't look like a museum. It's very well decorated with unique collectives of ancient time.
A very interesting place to visit if you want to know about the history, food, culture and habits of the people of this region. We saw a lot of interesting artifacts such as cooking utensils, ornaments, weights/measures, models of historical buildings, wood carvings, vintage photographs, coins and tools.
It's a small museum so you can finish within 1 hour of timeline but it is definitely worth that time.

The Museum of Himachal Culture & Folk Art is one of Manali's major tourist attractions. The museum is a treasure of collection of traditional heritage from different parts of Himachal Pradesh since 1990.
The museum is okiesh. You'll find old himachali equipments that people used to use. This can be anything from musical equipment to daily use equipment. You can have a look since you're visiting manali
The museum is in total disarray. Needs maintenance, some of the items are fallen down within their container, a few are soaked in water (maybe because of the seepage). No information provided to some displays while the info given for others is limited to names.
It was good experience one time visit place obviously but I personally believe government should work more on the museum so that people attract more and visit with enthusiastic in the museum
This place is located on the way of hadimba Devi temple. If you have time and you like to visit ancient life and calture then you may visit this place.
There are several artefacts that depict Himachal's culture and arts. Very clean and properly cared for. We must learn more about this lovely state, Himachal Pradesh, while we spend time in Shimla and Manali, and this museum gives us with valuable information on its history, attire, utensils, and tribal life. This is also close to the Hidimba temple. Manali is a must-see.
Not recommended, it's private and very small. Although you can go if you're beside hadimba temple and you've no where else to go for an hour and you just want to fill the void in your life. Anyway you've been filling the void in your life by unnecessary existing and watching Netflix, so why not this okayish museum
Such a detailed explanation in audio format regarding the culture of himachal stating their traditional clothes, vessels, construction, weaoons, jewellery etc. Neat maintenance. A nice place to know the culture in detail.
Museum is based on mainly Kullvi culture. Here you will find old things related to Kullvi community. Audio tours are also available. You will get to see and know many things by coming here.

The Museum was established in 1998 to collect and exhibit cultural and folk art antiques of Himachal Pradesh. Traditional dresses, utensils, musical and ritual instruments, wood carvings and all other traditional articles used by the people of Himachal Pradesh are present and exhibited in the museum. All these above mentioned items are basically handwork of the people of Himachal Pradesh representing the rich handicraft era of the state.
Got to know so many new thing about Himachal Pradesh, One must visit there. Don't miss out if you are traveling to Manali and want to know Himachal in depth.
This is a small Museum located in front of Hidimba Mata Mandir, one should visit it to avail amazing knowledge about Himachali as well as manali art and culture. From clothes, jewellery, to utensils one can find knowledge about almost everything here. This isn't like other big museums it is small and compact but still very interesting. In fact the entry fee is not very much.
