Nakshatra Resort Shimla (Kunihar)

Aproach road is single and not well maintained. Service is not upto the mark. Not a great view which you would expect. Outdoor activities are limited. Rooms are expensive. Food and snacks are very limited. I ordered salad and cucumber were bitter and not well presented. Restaurant is very congested. Limited ac rooms. Parking is good. Safety is a concern. If you are travelling from chandigarh then i would suggest you to look for some other place and if you are a local then you can go for a couple of hours but if they have time then they should go to Tutu at caravan camps. Happy traveling

Located on Nalagarh to Shimla highway. Clean rooms. Excellent food. Staff is very supportive.

Can be used for small outing parties for the families. Not much commercial places around. But it's good for nature lovers, who wants peace.

Found this place randomly on g maps. 3 hr dive from chandigarh as road after dharampur is single and not so great. Resort is around 3 kms from kunihar town. It's around 1km down from the main road. We could manage non ac room as ac rooms were all booked. However there was not even a single moment that we felt need of ac in the month of May. Rooms were clean and tidy. Same for the bathrooms. Food was simple with low on masalas and we got everything what we ordered for, from their menu. In evening They organise sports activities like badminton, Archery, trampoline in the big lawn in front of hotel rooms. Staff is very polite and help you in every possible way. Don't miss out on meeting little bunnies there. Overall 5 star experience.

All things are branded and neat clean. View from rooms are also very nice. But the thing i missed was that there is no local shop for anything nearby.

If you wish to have a comfortable memorable experience, now you know where to go. The staff is really humble and friendly. Loved the services.
The location and the surroundings are perfect for what one expects when staying in Himachal. Loved it! Can't wait to be there again!

It was an outstanding experience and a very comfortable stay. Resort is fabulously designed with very spacious rooms. The food was delicious and the employees were very courteous.

Good location amidst shrub jungles, safety is a concern as proper grills unavailable at the hall. Rest okay services, accessing washroom was also a problem with broken handlock, rest quite spacious for vehicles parking, ample space with limited activities but good place to visit around.

I stayed at this property on 14th July and they gave me free room upgrade (nice mountain view). The hotel is on the way to Shimla and have good activities (trampoline, big lawn for kids, archery, pet rabbits for kids) to keep you busy for the day. The only disappointment was the food that was served, we ordered dal tadka, aalo parantha during our stay. The hotel staff is very polite and helpful, they helped in arranging milk for my baby.

Located in very odd place, on the way you might think there won’t be such good hotel in that location, cause have to drive alone inside the forest.

But stay was aweeee and good.

Rooms are near and clean. Hygienic.

Staffs are good and cooperative.

The Resort has proper cleanliness, nice room with the vally view. Nice location.good food, good service, safe, polite and nice behaviour of the staff. My overall experience was really amazing. I would highly recommend this Resort for a wonderful stay. Keep it up!
They also provide lost of fun games and also adventure activities.
This is the best place for family, couple $ frands.

Good, cleaned room with all required amenities like soap, water bottle, towel, bucket, mug etc.

A bit high priced rooms.
You can't bargain much they will simply say we cannot give you less then that and it will be final price.
The approach road is like off road and if you came in evening or night you will think you might be on wrong path as there are no lights or any signs on the road side.
Be ready to pay full room rent in advance on reception. If you will say I will pay in the morning simple refusal will came to you.

Amazing location, bewildering view from the rooms, Courteous staff and friendly owner. A must travel place if you want a quite & relaxing experience. Kudos to the owner!

If someone ask me which place I would recommend for the weekend with family or with friends it would be the Nakshtra resort it has the countess reasons for it, the food, the cooperative staff, the cleanliness, the ambiance, the surroundings every thing. I would always wish to stay here whenever I need sometime to relax.
