This place is full of Errors from top to bottom Not Even a Basic needs Available I will Not Recommend this place to be visited at all 5 Star Ratings are not legitimate.

An overrated place. First I thought it had some legacy of being Britishers time but it's a quiet normal place with everything overpriced.
Washroom was not working when we visited

Average place. Long waiting during weekends. Staff and manager are supportive. Food taste is not that good. Prices are high. Closing time is 10.30 pm.

Good food and fast service at onset of mall road. Did get south Indian food as well as Chinese food even in late afternoon. Ladies restroom was not operational.

We visited first time here. It's near lift in mall road. Pure vegetarian restaurant. We ordered thali for ourself & noodles for kids. The chapattis was so hard that we were not able to chew them & other things was also just ok type. Noodles was fine. So overall not that much good jitne bahar bheed thi uski.

Quality of idli was average. Chutney was not good. Parota and sambar were excellent. Coffee was also very good. Overall it is okay to have. It is not really ambience.

Bought samosas were so bad just ate some because of hunger and price is 5 times the normal stuff so you will be paying 5x for something which is 5x worse. When I gave the feedback to the staff they were acting as if that isn't possible

Over Priced please, i have enjoyed some sweet and Gulab Jamun. In comparison to any haldiram in Delhi price was double.

Worst staff member on sweets corner, he dont know how to behave with people. Food is also poor. Better eat from a local stall than this spot.

Ordered masala dosa here. Price is 205 rs for butter masala dosa
Plus the taste is average. Coconut chutney needs to be improved. Sambhar is good.

I am a South Indian, and here in Shimla I found great idli as my daughter was sick here aloo paratha was also good, coffee was very good! Sambar was very delicious I think coming from a North Indian this idli & sambar was too good recommend others to try.service was quick, friendly staff, clean dining area & clean washroom

Bakwas restaurant cold food.food comes late and cold. Expensive better to have in a good 4 star hotel.

The restaurant is good. Food was also good but service is not that good. The waiters have less professionalism and slow service. I tried veg biryani it was nice.

They serve really good food, yeah price is bit high, but you are tourist and you suppose to pay high.

But this restaurant have more than 10 staff but they gave us the menu after 10 minutes.
Then we ordered.
The tables are not well managed
Less walk space.
Not managed properly.
Waiters rushing each other while service.

One of the only restaurants on mall road which serves proper North Indian food. Decent staff and cleanliness. Food is good but bit expensive

The food is homely, tasty and simply yum. Crowded most of the time however the wait is Wirth it and the crowd is at the right place. The highlight for me was dal tadka, which is to die for. I would say anytime you are in Shimla please do visit this out.

Worst experience!

The waiter has attitude of President Biden, food is cold, for chinese they give you cauliflower in everything.

Tea is served cold.

No condiments with Momos, which by the way just has “Patta Gobi”

Unauthentic south indian food lacks taste and on top of it, its quite expensive. Even the toilet was "closed". Disappointed.

I dined in here two times and first experience was great but the second one was okayishh. At first time we ordered soup and noodles, which were great in both taste and quantity. So just loved our dine in experience. But next morning, for breakfast, we ordered chana bhatura and masala dosa. Chana bhatura was not that great but dosa was amazing. Though we asked for second bowl of sambhar but it never came. It was strange bcz first time, service was very great. So in all, I can say, you can order some specific dish but can't comment on overall food and service quality. We ordered chai too and it was without garlic but perfectly boiled.

Good restaurant at the Mall.has ample sitting area. Gets rushed during peak hours easily which can impact service a bit but the overall staff behaviour and food taste make up for it. Rates may seem a bit on the higher end but quantity served can feed up to 4 persons. Paneer butter masala was for Rs 395 but quantity was enough for 4 people. The taste was amazing like at home.

Nice food, but the service is little slow. On weekends there can be waiting.washroom facilities for ladies and kids are not available.

Chees toast of 120 rupee there was 2 rupee cheese with 2 slice of bread

Nalini restaurant,! Situated on the mall near the Lift, or they serves Good fingerliking food and Sweets, Beautiful interior you'll find beautiful hand painted walls and British artwork as well

Very expensive and quality very bad. No coffee in coffee no cheese in cheese toast

The food quality was ok, the restaurant was clean the service was good, obly concern is they do make very bad biryani adding a whole lot of garam masala the chinese food we ate was more then ok

Worst place in Mall Road.
Asked for Hot Chocolate got hot milk with coco powder.
And manager also said that
If he gives us hit milk with bournvita, that too in hot chocolate.worst experience.

I ordered Yellow Dal and it was horrible with only filled with uncooked onions chopped inside.
Butter Roti was not good u cooked.

Worst service. Very bad quality of preparations. Took south Indian food. Sambhar was actually a water soup. It was seeming like they did not use salt at all in preparations. Worst experience in my life. Would never recommend at all.

Ok. So after very high reference I went to this place along with my father and order idli and vada.

And when while paying I gave them the feedback to the manager, he started fighting and giving excuses. My intention was to give feedback without any monetary discussion.

Food was tasteless while everybody was complaining.these guys didn't listen. Pathetic staff and pathetic level of service.

Highly recommended to not go there and order south indian which is their favourite cuisine2

It seems a nice restaurant with nice Masala Dosa & espresso coffee.
It’s just besides Hotel Combemere, on the Mall road.
Food is marginally okay ‍️
Staff was nice.
Chole bhature & paranthe are a no no. Didn’t liked them.
Washrooms bad.
Handwash area not clean.
As much as it seems affordable.but it costs a lot! I would have rather ate nice & clean breakfast at the hotel, than paying 1,100rs here, since the price of combemere & nalini are almost same.
So won’t recommend it as such.

All food varieties we tasted nice.
Quite crowded on our day of visit.
Rates on the higher side. Service slow. The adjoining space had a window from where, smell from a toilet nearby, was coming in.

We had been for breakfast around 10 AM. The paratha, plain dosa, lemon tea - everything was good about food. The ambience is average. But the service is very very slow, and the staff don't even bother to lend you their ears! We had to ask for the bill twice, and got it 10 mins later.

One of the good restaurant on the mall road. It is located near the lift. The restaurant was clean, and the ambiance was excellent. Had mix experience with staff - In the morning when it was less crowdy we got excellent service, but in the afternoon, the staff doesn't listen. The food was tasty, and the price was reasonable. Don't forget to taste big Samosa.

Couples Beware!
I am shocked how they even got 2.8. My wife ordered something and the waiter and Owner passed a very dirty comment which we heard.

Please don't go if you care about your Self Respect.
People like these at tourist places are the reason India is getting a Bad Reputation.
Would give 0 stars if could.

This restaurant on main mall road Shimla, near municipal lift, serves delicious vegetarian food prepared in hygienic conditions.

Please never go there. No taste in food. Very rude staff. Don't ask for water also. Some street food are best then this dhaba.
