Negi Cottage

We travelled there with one of the groups that to in the end of dec so the cold was bone breaking in that also they provided us with hot water, nice breakfast and dinner and they also have large area of apple farm.
They do arrange bonfires also.
It's accessibility is little inside.

I was at Mr. Negi homestay in June 2023 in Sangla while returning from spiti valley (Kaza) on my way to solan.

This is a two story house with 16 individual rooms with attached Toilet. Rooms are spacious and clean.

There is big gardan, Apple farm adjacent to a house where local vegetables are planted and lots of apple trees. They have a small number of cows at a nearby place.

Mr. Negi and his family is very helpful in nature and will take care all yiur genuin requirements. The supporting staff is kind in nature and the food prepared was homely.

Sangla is midway on way to Chitkul which is at higher altitude and is last village towards ITBP border security checkpost. Rakchham is another small village on way to chitkul.

One should st least spend two days in Sangla before moving to Chitkul. Mr. Negi homestay is one the best option in Sangla.

Ease note 24 km road from karchham to sangla is uphill, small in width and one may require to reverse your vehicle several meters if bus or truck comes from opposute direction in certain patches. The road is small but smooth and local bus/truck drivers are helpful. If you have no experience in tricky himalayan or similar terrain, kindly get a good driver or hire a local vehicle.

Road from Sangla to Rakchham on way to chitkul is more challenging because of road constrauctiin and onemay take an hour to reach chitkup which is 23 km from sangla.

I will recommend camp sites at chitkul because of very nature of it. Star gazing will be one of the activities you can do at chitkul.

We didn't expect such rooms in such remote location. Excellent View of himalayas from hotel and tasty food, adds it's name in one of the best hotel in sangla

Best best bestttt experience ever. To start with, since it’s a remote area, I was expecting very basic places
I was amazed to see this property. Be it the cottage, apple orchards and we also got a cute balcony with spectacular view.
The staff (Anil & Arjun) there were very polite. They’re all rounders. We just need to ask and they’ll do it for you.
The food especially is yumm. I have had 4 meals there and all of them tasted so good that I did not even consider on going out.
I’m in love with their dog, Rocky. He’s the cutest

Nice location cottage is in the Apple orchard, room is very nice tiptop clean, food is very nice, you can book luxurious rooms here. Mountain View, on the roof 360 snow caped mountain View. Parking facilities free.

The stay at Negi Cottage was good.
The rooms are spacious and clean.
They provide heater for hot water.
The staff is polite and ready to serve all your requests.
The view from outside the room is just spectacular.
Food was yummy.

I've stayed at there recently. The place is amazing. The rooms, washroom everything was great. The host Mr. Amit Negi ji is a gem of a person. I would highly recommend you this place for staying in sangla.

It is located at Kuppa, a little behind Sangla. Finding it may be a little difficult as one has to go through a narrow alley. The building is a bit old. There is parking space in front of the premises. Entire place is surrounded by apple orchards. Although I didn't meet the host Mr. Negi, I found him warm and friendly. Mr. Arjun, who looks after the cooking and room service is quite helpful. The room and the toilet were clean. There were no mats on the floor. A small TV was available but I didn't switch it on. A portable boiler for hot drinking water is provided. There is nothing extraordinary about the room; it is OK for a night's halt. The surroundings were unkempt; the staircase was not clean, the lawn was not attended to, potted plants werent tended to and junk littered everywhere. The external ambience was unpleasant. A new building with better rooms is coming up. During peak winter when it snows, piped water won't be available. Arjun lit a small campfire. The breakfast would be served by 9 am. Being a little further away from the road, it offers a quiet relaxing atmosphere. The morning view of the orchard and the hills is great.

Excellent location. Cozy and clean room. Owner very cooperative. Good food with reasonable price. Inside apple garden. Excellent video from balcony. We stayed here one night with kids and enjoy the stay very much.

The cottage which is in interior gives spectacular views of rock and green mountains and an unrestricted view of eye soothing sights and an apple farm for you to truly taste fresh apples.the people and the food here is amazing. For all the folks who wanna do work from home the internet speed of jio here is 15 mbps so camp here for weeks and enjoy taking all your calls and relax for few days. A simple walk to sangla market can clear your head and people interested in rock climbing are here for a treat so enjoy.

This cottage is situated a bit ahead of Sangla valley, and is off the main road, at the end of a narrow alleyway. The view from here is great but so is on the road.

Accordingly, it specialises in comfortable and affordable rooms, with working geysers and a functioning generator, to counter the frequent electric cuts in the region.

Our stay here was accompanied by other guests with rebellious toddlers, who wrecked our good night's sleep by wailing out at max decibel. Still clean rajai's did their job, and we slept as soon as there was silence.

One advice from us to visitors of Chitkul camp from here is to book a 4 by 4 car/ traveller for that visit as the road is very steep and very dangerous. Such roads can kill an everyday car.

Rooms are okay. If you are looking for heavy amenities then this property is not built for you. Room service is awesome.

If you are planning to go to sangla, this is the place to stay! Amazing staff and owner (Negi Ji). Very Very humble and cooperative. You get an awesome view from the cottage and really amazing home cooked food. We really enjoyed our 2 days stay there. Thanks alot Negi ji for the warm welcome and service.
