NomadGao Dharamkot - A Himalayan Digital Nomad Community

Trust me, Nomad Gao is the best property to stay in Dharamkot, especially for digital nomads looking to work from the mountains. The room interiors are beautifully designed, and there's an aesthetic cafe on the rooftop. The most marvelous aspect? The breathtaking sunrise view from the property. Highly recommended

It was great staying at Nomadgaon in Dharamkot, Himachal Pradesh. I would recommend it to travelers of all ages.

ACCESS
Easy. Rs 10k by flight from Delhi to Gaggal airport, roundtrip. Then Rs 1200 by taxi to Dharamkot.

ACCOMODATION
Reasonably priced - Rs 2.7k approx when I went (subject to change). The prices lower if you stay for a week or month.

Lovely common area overlooking the mountains, we would be in front of gorgeous views and spent ages watching clouds come and go over the mountains by just stepping out of our room.

Met other people, had leisurely chats- guests (mostly israeli), fab volunteers who are full fledged professionals volunteering at Nomadgaon for stay.

The working space on top helped my husband get into the work zone properly. I took care of the baby and we had frequent hellos, check-ins and ate together.

At Nomadgaon don’t expect top level hotel treatment, it is a collaborative living space. Ask if their kitchen is functional or not in case you need it.

After staying here and enjoying the company of fellow travelers here I am going to search for similar places for my future stays.

ACTIVITIES

We went on a hike to Gallu, had a bonfire party night with guests and volunteers. Was not expecting such warmth and revelry on a tourist type of trip. Everyone helped make plans around the baby

In Dharamkot, there is mainly one road with cute shops and cafes, not a big or busy place. Lovely desserts. 2km from Mcleodganj.

Nomadgaon has a good eating option just outside; Mini mart that serves Rs 100 thali.

When you stay for a few days you start going a layer deep, like getting involved with sketching classes, yoga classes, meditation courses etc

This is a very good place for remote workers. It combines the feeling of being in a very remote area and has all the amenities at the same time. Village of Dharamkot is not like nearby Mcleod Ganj - it's very quiet but has lots of cafes and shops. Coworking space it's on the third floor and you just need to go out of your room to access it. There are balconies where you can enjoy observing the clouds floating between the mountains. Manish - the manager of this property - is extremely helpful and he made me feel like home here. Will definitely return!

An awesome and lively community at Dharamkot. It has an excellent working space which will make your mundane work routine productive in every way. Lovely hosts who would ensure to make your stay memorable. Special mention to Shashank who greets you with a smile every morning, Anisa the 'Gaurdian of the Galaxy' literally transforms the place with her magical touches, fun game nights. Manish bhaiya would just go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. Would highly recommend

Easily one of the best place to stay if you are in Dharamkot! The vast beautiful balcony with best view of the mountains (if you are lucky, you can even see a snow capped peak), super friendly and extremely helpful staffs, who will definitely become your friends; Special mention to Shashank - who reminded us that sharing is caring, Anisa - the young and enthusiastic girl who organises stuffs for the community which makes us all feel like a part of a family and finally Manish Bhaiya - who really became our Bhai, the genie who can help you with anything! You can expect clean, spacious rooms with amazing views right from your bed, excellent internet connection (with back-up) and the busy streets of Dharamkot right outside your door step!
Oh, and the best co-working space! To quote my husband "In my last 10+ years of IT experience, never have I felt both motivated and relaxed while working" - That's Nomad Gao!

We spent a very pleasant week at Nomad Gao. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very available and attentive. The rooms overlook the Valley and the establishment is located at the beginning of Dharamkot, which makes it possible to avoid too many festive nights, and 10 minutes from the Iyengar center. We highly recommend!

Manish, Anissa, Shashank and team ensure you are looked after. Fast reliable Internet and a great working space, with backup power for any outages. Nice premium spot in Dharamkot. Wonderful community to be part of too.

A place worth spending at least few weeks of your time. You can work remotely with comfort.meet fellow digital nomads.and like minded people on workation. It has a great coworking setup and wifi speeds. The rooms are facing the Himalayan valley. It's so serene beautiful and so close to the nature that it helps you with focus a lot. Must visit.

I had an amazing stay at NomadGao. The rooms are clean, and the co-working setup with power backup (which is rare in Dharamkot) is pretty good to even do late night calls.

Special shoutout to Akash for his amazing hospitality, making us feel welcome and doing great work with house keeping. I'll definitely be staying here during my subsequent visits to Dharamkot.

My stay at Dharamkot, Nomad gao was a breeze. The rooms are spacious & good views from the room.there was a communication issue wrt to a couple of services but it was promptly attended to by the owner and resolved. Apart from that, everything else about this place is very comfortable & of good standard.

Nomadgao Dharamkot has been such a treat, it's such a beautiful and well maintained property with amazing view. Also kudos to Dinesh and Akash for making sure everything is in place.

Nomadgao is one of the best coworking and coliving space in Dharamkot. It has all the necessary amenities, excellent housekeeping services, and situated at a great location. I have spent almost a month and it feels great to be a part of the Nomadgao community. Dinesh and Akash are great hosts, extremely helpful and, maintain the property very well.

We decided to stay at Nomadgao because of the uninterrupted WiFi and power backup. We were able to work whenever we wanted with steady Wifi and power. But Nomadgao is a lot more than that. The stay here became close to our hearts because Mr Dinesh and Aakash made us feel right at home. I remember them waiting for us with smiles when we came to stay. By the time we left, we were actually sad to say goodbyes to them. I will always remember the many interesting people I met here, who were enthusiastic about their careers and were willing to share ideas; the thrill of seeing mountains reflected in the background in mirrors; the broad and unencumbered view from the terrace; the joy at opening a window and seeing breath-taking beauty; the calm of snuggling up under a blanket and reading a book, looking up to see a snow-capped peak; and the white butterflies that go round and round before the rain comes.
Nomadgao is well-situated, with easy access to many eateries and taxis. The workspace is well-organized with good furniture that makes this an ideal workation or staycation, as you like.
Most importantly though, I'll remember game night and the warm stories that the people here shared from their lives, opening up the valley and their hearts to us.

I had the pleasure to spend three days in Nomadgao, Dharamkot in the month of March for an Organisation Retreat. The Co- founder Shahzada seamlessly coordinated with our organization to plan the stay for the team.

The overall experience was really good, with them making sure we get the best which included the facilities in the Co- working space, to making all the arrangements like BBQ. They also collaborated with a restaurant next to NomadGao called Joy food. The food was wholesome and homely.

Dinesh ji, the point of contact in the stay made sure we have a good stay and was really hospitable and friendly.

A warm place to stay. The staff is cooperative. Property manager Dinesh Ji was a good host. The nearby Jain cafe was excellent.

The most reliable place to work from in Dharamkot. Beautiful cozy rooms, fun community engagement and the most scenic view. Very close to cafes, cabs and utility stores. Amazing place to be for short and long term stays

Its a lovely place for stay and cowork, the community is amazing, the community managers take a lot of care. This is the best place to stay in Dharamkot.
