Oak View Guest House

This hotel is very near to the Bhagsunag parking area and stands on the way to Dharamkot. I was referred here by one of the people I met on the way to Dharamshala. I took the top floor with a personal balcony and it had a nice sitting arrangement with sofas, chairs and a table. The view from the balcony was great. I guess the place falls in the affordable category and is a good choice for budget travelers. There are few things I didn't like - The TV was not working, there were no toiletries eg Soap, no electric kettle to warm the water and felt the room was overpriced but I can't complain much. Overall a nice stay.

The best part about our trip was this hotel. We wanted the room near balcony and no room was available at the moment. But the guy who runs this hotel SANJU BHAI was so amazing that he said please go check other hotels if you get balcony room then great if not then you are most welcome here. We did what he said and we didn’t find the room we wanted. We went back to Hotel Oak View and Mr.sanju gave us room and staying in his hotel made our trip so awesome. We did talking in his common area, dancing, singing and everything after coming from our site seeings. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone who is going to McLeod ganj. Just because of this place. We are coming back every year to this place. Must visit Hotel Oak View, Thank you

I stayed in Oak view guest house 04/10/22 to 08/10/2022 it was a very comfortable and amazing stay the bunk bed was super comfy and a balcony amazing mountain views in the room with attached bathroom toilet hot water 24 hours free wifi super fast 24 hours and Sanju ji was a great host not to mention the home cooked food super tasty keep it up i will sure to come again in Maclodganj Dharamshala Himachal Pradesh India ️️ Go for it genuine review Free Netflix to watch in their spacious lounge KEEP IT UP OAK VIEW

Very friendly and Enthusiastic management team. Personal rooms as well as the dorms are quite Spacious, clean and tidy. Even at sub zero temperature the kitchen was fully functional with different food availability.

It's not hotel it's just a guest house
It doesn't have basic facilities
Building is too old
It needs renovation.
The way to guest house is too bad.
This stay is behind German bakery road.
It's cheap but avoid this as better options are available nearby.
I booked it as I misstook it as Hotel Oak Valley but that's totally different so think before booking.

Great for a budget stay. As I went in offseason time.

What you get: Very spacious room with balcony, Clean washroom/bedroom, very helpful staff, hot water, connectivity through nearby roads/trails and transport, free wifi.

What's nearby: Cafe, bhagsu market, Taxi/Auto stand, general stores.

Oakview is a very comfortable place to stay. It is situated right in middle of everything. Easy to reach here nice big rooms, all the necessary luxuries are available here on a very reasonable price, hotel staff is very kind and friendly, nice balcony, and views good big tarrace and a Boanfire place, it feels like home

The staff was quite friendly, the only thing to keep in mind is that the shops and restaurants out here are shut down by 8 pm.
