Won't say it's bad. But, not worth the price you pay to stay here and go through that steep downhill.

I am so satisfied with hotel service.
The reception was very good, The manager is good at behaviour.
The restaurants are very awesome and the food is excellent.i appreciate the kitchen staff.
I recommend booking this hotel.

The resort is in a valley, you have to drive down or walk for 10 mins. Staff was friendly, rooms and beds were clean, food was good, they also arranged a heater for us as it got very cold in the night. No complaints.

Beautiful place staff was very helpful. Food was homely cooked and delicious. We enjoyed himachali delicacies. Overall highly recommend.

We were a group of 6 couples, all senior citizens. We all wished to relax for three days in a pollution free, peaceful and beautiful place. Thanks to the management of Great Himalayan Resort McLeodganj, it provided us what we wanted and wished. The staff is excellent and ready to help you with the food of your choice. It was a homely experience and the staff treated us as family. Well furnished and clean rooms with a lot of amenities. The location is the main selling point, and I would 10/10 definitely recommend

Overall it was a very nice experience as the staffs were very cooperative, location is very beautiful, But please don't drive till the resort as the roads are very slant and has very sharp curves.

Rooms are poorly maintained, bathroom door can't be locked from the inside, poor food. It seems food was prepared a day before its being served. Lawn/open area was poorly maintained. Hotel staff takes takes guests as granted with very minimal service.

The location was amazing! The vibe was mesmerizing and it was such a great experience staying here. The staff is cordial and cooperative and takes cares of all the guest's needs. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

I had organised my wedding in this property but i faced such a bad experienced service is zero.all staff members are arrogant. Very poor service. Rooms are not cleaned and roof of cottage was leaking my all guest are not satified and the owner who doesnt know how to deal guest. He only want money once he took money no one will entertain you

Location is absolutely fantastic! View is great, lots of rose plants which keep the ambience fragrant, ideal place to spend hours soaking in the beauty of the nature. Upkeep of rooms not good (spiders and insects in rooms), very little breakfast option and only 1 attendant managing all rooms and cottages.

The only good thing about this hotel is it's food.
Be careful before booking. As you have to climb a very steep road everytime you want to go outside.

Such a wonderful place to stay, lonely, peaceful, calm and valley views, homely atmosphere customized food as per own choice and respectfull, friendly staff we enjoyed a lot.

This hotel is pretty cool. Its location is quite unique as you have to take a ride down in a Car to reach here and the driver of this hotel drive the Ritz just like one of the death ride ones. Rooms are kind of okay here but not so fascinating and so do the huts. If you're looking for luxury then don't opt this one but if you really want to enjoy the peaceful view downway in the foothills then go for it. Food is tasty here but a bit of on the higher side of price. Market is not nearby from here.

I recommend not book if you want to enjoy Dharmashala. Hotel is situated in a quite good location in Macleodganj but travel costs more to access anything in the city. Some lower division staff are good and very well behaved, but the management is not upto the mark. Minimum accessories were missing inside rooms, we need to ring the bell for each and everything. The best thing in Hotel is its restaurant.very delicious food with proper service.really appreciable their kitchen staff. For families with more than 8 members this hotel may not be suitable place, as this is situated on a hill, to go to top of the hill they have hotel car which accomadates only 4 people. So you need to make 2-3 trips to reach at the top of the hill.

The food is good, the view is great! A little downhill, so luggage transfer will require a car.

Good resort with worst location, even my professional driver was not sure of taking the car down below to resort.
Sharp turns with no street light or sign boards, very steep and narrow road to resort.

This is undoubtedly the most soothing and beautiful resort in Mcleodganj. It's in between the heart of mountains. There is no place better than this to feel the essence of Mcleodganj

Awesome view and good food. Nice n peaceful place. Though the road down to hotel is scary. They have a small car to ferry people up and down. Loved the place.

Its a nice place to stay. View is perfectly awsome. Reaching to hotel from main road is itself an adventure ride.

Location: location is good, close to the Tibetan Market, views from the hotel is mesmerizing. It is sorrounded with snow covered mountains. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature's beauty.

Reachability: difficult to reach as the road to the hotel is very steep. Need to careful while going and coming as there are High chance that the vehicle might skid.

Staff behaviour: polite, prompt and helpful

Room condition: very good, gyser working, Heater was also given at extra 200 charges.

Food: very tasty and delicious food was freshly prepared.

Highly not recommended, You feel insecure. They have a drop service but they always say driver is getting ready etc. I had to wait for 40 minutes and walk my self.

The hotel great Himalayan is really very awesome as we felt here amazing climate as well as food and hotel staff were too. Specially I would give thanks to Mr. Chand Singh sir for helping nature and keeping good standard of service management and rooms are real big size and awesome. I am pleased and happy making my journey by booking this hotel

Had very bad experience.we booked our hotel a day before and hotel staff didn't check the booking and gave our cottage to some one else.when we went there they simply said that we have no room left.sorry we haven't checked the booking

It is very down from the main road and hotel staff says to pickup and drop from and at road but when there is no staff available its to hard to climb up to the main road for other convenience and the staff is not good at all.

Nice hotel in a good location. Situated downhill from Bhagsu road. Rooms are basic, but its neat and clean. Also the staffs are very helpful. They even provide pick and drop facility. 5 star for the location.
