Beautiful, family friendly and a very calming place to unwind and relax. It was just what we needed. My six year old son just wanted to stay in the resort, go in the woods behind the property and enjoy the lovely river and food there! The amazing location with beautiful plantation and spacious rooms add to the charm. While my mother in law found it difficult to reach the rooms, she was very sporty and could do it with just a little help. Anyone traveling with senior citizens should be aware of this. The staff was extremely helpful and polite and helped us with everything. Hopefully we will visit again!

In our daily busy routine.this is the best place where you get amazing ambience, the nature, food is too good.they serve food in kasa (bronze) vessel.it looks soooo royal. The staff is soo friendly helpful and very good.

No recommend at all. Stayed in may 2023.2 nights. We came at 20-00 in the evening. The path from the car parking was dark, steep, slippery and challenged. A kind of mountain hiking. When we came into our room we found that our room was dirty. The bed lining, pillow covers and so on was dirty after somebody’s else sleeping. With a lot of other’s guests hairs. Bathroom was not clean, paper, woman’s tampons on the floor! Terrible! The stuff refused to clean it. Told us that cleaning staff had gone. And they could make up everything only tomorrow! When we asked about compensation of sleeping in dirty room, the manager sad us no! Also the electric generator was right next to our room and inside was noisy and vibrating and it was difficult to go to sleep Nothing to settle this problem! Never book and stay in this place!

This was our second visit and it felt absolutely refreshing! We love the vibe. Best of all it’s pet friendly so our dude (beagle) is the happiest. Every aspect about Prakriti Aalay is fabulous, food service, scenic beauty, treks, friendly hosts. You can spend hours just breathing in the Fresh air, listening to the gushing water stream and admiring the majestic dauladhar ranges. It’s blissful and look forward to our next break from the city life! Thank you

A beautiful getaway from the daily hustle of today’s era. Located beside a perennial water stream and against snow clad Dhauladhars, Prakriti Aalay stands true to its name. Besides the location, the resort derives all its construction material from nature unadultered from any industrial involvement (such as extensive use of clay bricks and bamboos) yet equipped with all essential facilities to make the stay a comfortable one. The mornings here are a pure bliss with several options for a trek. Icing on the cake is highly cooperative and cheerful staff who play pivotal role in making the stay a memorable one. A stay at this place is strongly recommended if somebody visits Dharamshala or around. Perfect place for rejuvenation.

Isolation privacy solitude fresh air no disturbance and warmth of hotel staff like family. Delicious food. Wonderful host the owner Kishore Thakur with his awesome career and beautifully sustainable Eco friendly architecture designed Dali world famous for Eco design. It’s call Prakriti (Nature) Aalay. Completely cut off from main road. Purposely kept the entrance rocky and experience and a walk a crossing the river over manmade bridge.

Prakriti Aalay is once a year retreat that every person in this maddening race of a life needs. A fine resort, with a rivulet Manuni Khud flowing by it, surrounded by serene mountains and a mesmerizing view of the Himalayas. I had to visit few temples but ideal stay at this heaven of a place is when you just relax and experience the resort in all the nature and beauty around it. Mornings should be reserved for bird watching if you're interested. I noticed atleast 20 different species in my 4 days of stay. Breakfast any where like on rocks next to the river, or a terrace with the view of Himalayas or in the garden. There are spaces for yoga and meditation near the river if you're looking for such an exile. There is a small trek up to the nearest mountain from within the resort premises which can be done within max two hours. A bonfire every night in winters atleast i experienced. Food is just perfect.explore many breeds of plants and flowers. But the most endearing thing is the staff. All the people there are so prompt and helpful. They are the best part of our experience there. Praveen ji, Arvind ji, the Chefs everyone made the visit worthwhile. I still miss them after a week back having come to Delhi. They are the very reason I would definitely go back again.

Two small notes - In winters, drivers not having a place to sleep is a bit difficult situation.we have a permanent kinda driver who had to sleep in the car in a parking with no shed or cover over the car and I felt bad for him. They however did allow him to freshen up and bathe in the resort which was a saver. It would be great if they allot a place for drivers to sleep. Second thing is the small trek down to the resort which might not be a deal breaker for young people but gets a bit difficult for ageing parents at night and otherwise. So plan accordingly, the approach to the resort is a small trek and a bridge on the river. The owner Amita ji is very helpful and will send videos for you to understand how the approach is. My father is fit at 67 and was able to go through with it so I have no complaints.

The property was located in the lap of river and very pleasant environment to stay, if you want a nice and peaceful stay then this is the right place for you. It has sceneric and truly mesmerising veiw.
The property has inspired from the nature. The rooms were spacious and clean with all the basic amenities being provided on time.

This place does not have accessible entrance and it is unsuitable for elderly or specially abled individuals. It does not meet disability act requirements.

I had booked a suite in this property for a two-night stay with my family on my recent visit to India. My mother has mobility issues because of knee cap. Reaching the resort required a trek on an unpaved path. To avoid grave danger to my mom, I did not check-in to the hotel.

Resort's receptionist is unsympathetic, arrogant, and inhospitable.

This place should not be listed on the booking website, or should be listed as an adventure resort. Their advertising is duplicitous which relies on fine prints in terms and condition.

I had booked this property from MakeMyTrip which has been resisting to refund Rs 38K that they had charged for this stay. It is unfortunate that a prevalent service provider in India lists such places and more importantly, refuses to return the money.

If you are looking to spend quality time with the best view, this is the place for you. Well groomed staff and food.

Prakriti Aalay is one of the finest Property, located in the lap of mountains, completely removed from the noise and pollution of the city. The staff is very helpful and friendly, as well as the owner and his family. The rooms are spacious and adequate cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained. It is family friendly as well with outdoor activities, swings, a small children's game room, and a spot for campfires. The food served is also very delicious! Overall It is a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate and is highly recommended to all nature lovers who crave for Serene views and love to be in a natural set up.

4 hours agoWorst managed hotel at a nice place. Surprisingly there is no one to took care of the hotel, only couple of young local boys. No manager to even speak with the guest. We were 2 family with 2 small kids. We booked the place but at the time of doing registration suddenly they want the kids ID proof. The kids were small as they don't have aadhaar Card but the hotel want's a govt I'd to be submitted. They said it's their policy. I told them if you want to charge for the kids you can but they insisted for kids govt I'd proof. They said they want the details of all the guest who will be staying in the hotel. When I checked thier register it's not even filled by Feb 2022.regarding this they don't have any answer. As thier is no manager present at the place we have no option to leave the place. Don't go and stay there as there is no one to listen to you.

Had a surreal experience during my 3-day stay at the property. The beautiful view from the rooms and the scenery are blissful in the early morning. Nights are equally peaceful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend it if you wish to spend your trip away from the hectic city life.

Starting of with the location, if you’re a person who likes to stay away from the city chaos and overrated mall roads, this is the right place for you. It was serene and truly mesmerising.

The property is also very beautiful having a different touch in itself. The rooms were spacious and clean with all the basic amenities being provided on time.

Coming to the staff, everyone was polite and active.
Staying there was one of the stay I experienced in recent times. I was there for 3 days but would have loved to extend it for much longer…

Very bad.we did not stayed there.even we can not even get a cup of tea when we are accompanied with three senior citizens and one kid under six.

I love the property, its very well design, Artistic one and very well crafted, and eco friendly also without using cement.its must visit site.and very important the feeling is spiritual. The wall, river, colors, the woods everything is mind blowing

Location is too much natural, really relaxing, thanks to owner who brought this idea of resort far from crowd. Very courageous and beyond imagination work done by owner. Workers are too much appreciable for their tough job of boarding and uploading luggage.
After all must visit this place if you really need relax in nature.

Beautifully designed resort located in a picturesque valley. Lip smacking and nutritious vegetarian food. Great service with well-maintained rooms.

Cons: Located a bit far from the main city and you need to trek down a hill from the main road to get to the resort. But totally worth it.

Very beautiful property probably why you would be attracted to go there. But terrible service. The staff was not good at all. No laundry service. Highly unafe ambience with shady guests and staff. The staff was also drunk on the last two days of my visit, with a shady owner who was inviting a mother traveling with her kid to come drink with him after 9 pm. I really would not recommend anyone to go there. Probably cops or army should intervene in putting these sick minds to an end.

The location is a bliss, forest, river and away from the city chaos! Rooms r basic but u will hardly feel staying inside the room when the surrounding is so serene, hospitality is A1, staff is very cooperative and the food has a homely feel to it! Just the price of the food is on higher side!

We stayed here for a whole week and were working remotely from Dharamshala. Prakriti Alay was just the perfect place for us. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The food was lovely and healthy. We had very good internet throughout the stay so that made work easy. You can sit by the river or the staff can light you a campfire. The place is cozy and passionately made by Kishore and Amita. Great hospitality! And Leo (a 5 month old Beagle) was just a delight! I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a relaxed getaway.

Prakarti Allay is a hidden gem. Whoever is going to Dharamshala and looking for peace and beauty, shall stay at this place. Located away from the hussle bussle, with a rivulet flowing at your door step and view of snow covered glaciers makes it magical. Drive from Pathankot to the property had 90 % good roads and rest 10% were mildly bad.location of the property gave us little surprise as this was our unplanned, last minute booking.surprise was, there was no road to the property, but there was climb down the hill steps.this was a new experience for our kids.but this property is not recommended for people who have knee problems or spine problems.one thing which i felt could have been done is provide railing along the steps, for the people who have fear of heights.reception was warm.owners are friendly people.chef was good. October climate was cozy in the day and cold in the night.there is constant sound of rivulet flowing through the property which has very relaxing effect on the mind.many different areas for dinning on the deck, verandah, inside dining area, but we found deck area was the best for morning and lunch, and preferred verandah for dinner as it became cold in the evening.host also arranged for the bonfire in evening but we were wary of get together as there were other families also.another attraction for us was that we were able to get in to the water of the rivulet and sat dipping our feet in the cold water.we stayed in superior double room.room had two swing chairs in the balcony which were blissful to use.mattress were good.there was no tv, which was not liked by my children.bathroom was clean.there was attempt to give the village like feeling to the room.food was tasty, more like home.the range of food items were less than those mentioned in the menu.final bill was of about 9000 rupees including heavy full board meals for two adults and two children for one day and one night, which we thought was reasonable.yes, will recommend the property.will also return to the property in the future and for two days trip

I am from sukker, This place is quite near from my house, this is the true example of Himachal culture. Here we can find the best example of nature's beauty!

A magical place. You can feel the energy yet it is so calm and peaceful here. You hear the beautiful sounds of the river flowing through the Himalaya Mountains.

Another amazing place we stayed during this trip to Himachal Pradesh. The snow capped mountains on one side and the live stream on the other. The view from our executive deluxe room was simply beautiful. Bon fire in almost zero degree is something one cannot describe. The breakfast spread needs to be a bit bigger. However the mixed Daal and palak paneer were just simply delicious. The staff was polite and very helpful. A must stay for those who visit Dharamshala. Far from the hustle of the city. Very serene

We found it perfect for our family getaway.
We visited during winters and the rooms were so warm, welcoming and well equipped.
The rivulet which flows straight down the Himalayan glaciers through the property with a hearty view of the Dhauladhar range at the backdrop, is a great place to unwind. The lovely hike up the pine forest is worth a mention too!
Our host, Mr. Thakur, along with the entire staff at Prakriti Aalay were cordial and generous.
We recommend a stay here and we are sure that you will be soon endorsing them too.

A truly heart melting place.
Very friendly and warm staff. Excellent service and mouth watering food.
It's a must stay if ur planning a chilled out stay with ur loved ones or friends.
You can rome into wilderness or njoy the cold glacial waters. From bonfires to sufi nights and swings to badminton or table tennis or chess you will have something to do.
When it comes to views no matter which corner u are at u will find something scenic to view. The best sight is that of the himalayan peaks from the upper deck where you can sip on some garam chai and take in the beautiful himalayas. If you like to let loose in nature u have to get to prakrit aalay.
What's more? Their nasal maggi: D. It's just fab.

I went there last year.so the review comes a bit late.but I remember this trip so fondly and this wonderful resort has a lot to do with that.it’s situated right on the banks of a beautiful river, breakfast was so good and homely against the backdrop of beautiful Himalayas. Dinner again was so so delicious followed by snacks by the bonfire.service is impeccable.it’s a family run resort with amazingly positive vibes.highly recommended!

Not right for those who can't climb or have knee problems since there is no proper walkway or motor.able road from the place where the visitors car is parked on the main road.the place is not at all cool or breezy since its on lower grounds not on d hills so during summer it's very sweaty.if it's a boutique eco stay then there should not b fan or light otherwise AC should be provided bcoz many other hotels at this rate which Prakriti Alay is taking provide AC. And they should properly write about the natural way of getting into and out of d hotel

Be it the amazing view, the super comfort, fantastic facilities, warmth in hospitality.you name it and you have it all here. You won't regret even once after you enter this heavenly abode. I would highly recommend travellers to Dharamshala to stay here and enjoy the serenity of this place. For the adventurous souls, there are mountain bike rides available and trekking too, there's a badminton court, swings outdoor as well as in the cottage balconies. Best was the bonfire that is arranged every evening wherein all the guests sit around it and enjoy the nature. I had asked if music will be available during the bonfire and the manager made the arrangements for live music by a local guitarist! They are simply wonderful people! I have been to Switzerland and thought nothing could be more beautiful. I was definitely wrong! Prakriti aalay is so much more.
