Lamkhaga Pass Trek- 1st batch of 2022 ️
After the last year casualty on this trek, i was very scared to attempt it but “Raacho trekkers” owner Sonu Ji is such a big motivator and he knows his land mountains so very well that he didn’t let us feel unsafe at any point while hiking.
He & his team members were so courteous and very helpful to us throughout the trek. I have witness very warm nature in Sonu Ji & his trekking staff. He is very humble and he ensure to help you out of the way.
One of the big incidents i noticed where couple of trekkers shoes were torn off but Sonu ji ensured to give that person his staff shoes so that person can complete his trek.
And another incident is, portable toilet tents. I was the only girl and he ensured to have the portable toilet throughout the trek.
The food was delicious and having Indian sweets daily even at altitude of 17000feet is a LIFE.
We were 3 people- me, my husband and his elder brother and since it was an challenging trek we were on last everyday of the trek. There was two groups one who used to be always together and first and the other was us “always last”: D but Sonu ji ensured we have one guide with us “Parvesh” the gentlemen.
They gave me yhe aceas to cook halia one day too wen we descend from the pass and i loved it how the cook and other staff was ensuring to help ;)
It was a different experience thoroughout the trek. Lamkhaga pass can be blindly doable with Raacho Trekkers only and its an amazing experience.
They do lot of other high altitudes trek as well and our is Auden’s col next

This is about Lamkhaga Pass trek that we did in May'22 and it was led by Sonu Negi. This trek couldn't had been possible if Sonu was not there. It was only Raacho trekkers who were confident in Lamkhaga pass (because of casualties happened in 2021) and I choose them only because of reviews I read about Sonu on the internet.
Despite of so many obstacles, whether it is weather conditions, or ITBP tried us to proceed further and so and so, but it was Sonu who was so confident as a leader and you will feel the same vibe of positivity when you will meet him in person. He is a kind of brother that will make you comfortable, confident, safe and will treat you like a family.
Apart from Sonu, whole team of his was very professional, trained and polite whether it was their trek guide Parvesh, Rajeev or their cook Suraj who cooks some brilliant and yummy food in such challenging locations and weather conditions.
Sonu made sure that we cover the appropriate distance and gain the right amount of altitude everyday so that nobody gets high altitude sickness. He also ensured that we gets the quality food with accommodation. Their tent, mattresses and sleeping bag quality was also good.
They got all the required equipments and skills to perform the same. Every day was challenging but they made it like it never was. Even for the summit from where we had to cross the pass, their team went to the pass (an evening before the summit day) to make a way for us. They have some great knowledge about the route, weather conditions, and everything related to that place.
I would like to travel, trek with Raacho trekkers again and would ask for Sonu to be in the team everytime.

I had a wonderful experience with the 2022 Lamkhaga Pass Trek run by Sonu Negi and his excellent team. Sonu is a confident leader with unique knowledge and experience of the area, with a positive mindset of ensuring a successful outcome, while making good decisions regarding weather and route. His team patiently accommodated individual demands and challenges, not to forget the great meals we had!

We went for Lamkhaga pass trek on May 2022 with Raacho trekkers lead by the one and only Sonu Negi. The trekking group is synonymous with the leader himself because of the kind of person he is and you will understand why it is so when you meet him in person. In him you will find a very confident leader who leads the pack, a brother whom u look upto in the traverses of the challenging environment you are in and a friend with incredible stories of the local lores.
The trek itself is mesmerizing from day one to the last day. The supporting staff treats you like family and in the end you will want to travel with them again and again. The equipments are well sourced and enough to deal with the harsh conditions of high altitudes, the food is one of the tastiest you will ever experience on a trek and the support you receive with them is second to none.
They are one of the best groups in the region to trek with cast knowledge of the terrain and weather in the region.
