I have been there during 2011 time for mountain biking and stayed about 5-6 days there.
It was lovely back then and I can just hope that it's the same. The beautiful Himalayan surrounding is unmatched, however the general area is lovely too.
The place is clean, well done and offers very nice and fresh food choices, for a vegetarian, it was a treat! One must explore the area around and take the trail to the great Himalayan national park entry!

Charming place run by a lovely family. Beautiful setting next to the river and within a steep valley. Great food too. We stayed here in November 2022, during which we took a stunning hike to the entrance of the Great Himalayan National Park and a trip up to traditional villages high up in the hills.

First of all there is not such a place as one referred to as "Raju Bharti's Guest House".
The establishment is called "The Great Escape" and it is owned by Raju Bharti.
It is a wonderful place for a quiet get away. The board and lodging is of superlative quality which cannot be measured by any system of "star rating". If you are seeking services commensurate with the conventionally mundane understanding of "star rating", this place is not for you.
There is genuine warmth in the hospitality they offer but it doesn't fit in with any "star rating" evaluation standards. It goes well beyond.

This was the 3rd i visited Raju's! We love this place from our heart! Absolute heaven! If you want peace and secluded home stay! This is for you!

The beauty in the pictures cannot describes the beauty of this place. The entire village is beautiful, just peaceful. Can walk around the places. Enjoy the tirthan riverside. 100% recommended.

Simply the best homestay experience in the world. True to the word homestay. With excellent food and hospitality. Very cozy rooms that are fragrant with the smell of pine. Beautiful fruit trees and flowers and so well maintained. A real delight of an experience. The hosts are kind people and take great care of the guests. Even the animals are loving because they pick up on the vibes. All in all worth every penny.

Overly Hyped.there are far better locations/properties in Gushaini at much lower prices. Property is also very old and is not maintained properly.
On top of that, despite being in hospitality business they are very rude to customers and egoist.

My first stay in Tirthan Valley was here and it was so extraordinary that when my mother visited, I insisted she stay here, though I have a house here now. The hosts are humble and kind and the food fingerlicking good! Do try the jams and pickles made by the owners. Love this place

Located on the holi Tirthan river at one side and other three sides, orchards of Apple, Apricot, Plums, Per, Cherry and flora and fona. Amezimg site for nature lover. Owner and staff are very politie. Dianing table is full of verity like farm fresh fruits and juices.

Had visited Raju cottage on a recommendation of a friend. To my surprise this place exceeded my expectations. Situated on a river bank and with greate views of the valley, the Homestay gives you a peaceful, exclusive and relaxed vibe. The food was homely and delicious and rooms were clean and had a rustic feel to them. Varun is a great host and was always available to address our needs along with his staff. If you are looking for an absolute get away, This is the place. Will definitely visit again!

A treasure which is known to all the genuine nature lovers.
A homestay on the family owned property and family run is such an awesome experience.
Location and approach to the homestay in itself is so adventurous. Nestled on the banks of river Tirthan hidden pretty much from the road (they don't even have a signboard), you have to cross the gushing mountain river through a wooden bridge. A bridge which is made up of various planks just secured together. It is so narrow that only one person can pass it at a time. When the flow of water increases and the bridge is covered then they use the old style pulley driven trolley - what an adventure.
Rustic, hygienic wooden cottages have clean linen and all the bare basics to make life comfortable. The cottages exterior are covered by the Ivy creepers which gives such a romantic Victorian cottage kind of looks and feel. You can see the river from the river facing windows but can hear the gushing water from almost everywhere.
Food is typical home made fresh, lip smacking, hot and served in the common dining area. Right from toasts to parathas to pasta was served. Dinner menu includes a non veg item in the menu. Very little oil or masalas are used and it's so tasty that you end up overeating. Yet it doesn't affect your system as most of is procured from organic sources or are home grown. During the season the orchard is laden with fruits which you will have the joy of hand plucking. Fruits are used well as fresh juices, jams, chutneys and pickles round the ear.
Working professional use this place as work place and stay here for longer durations as connectivity is good and the stay is reasonable. It can be also used as a base station and places in and around can be explored in the Tirthan valley.
A highly recommended place if you are interested to be one with the nature and enjoy the hospitality of the kind hearted local folks.

Good place to have a break from the city life. I have stayed in number of home stays runs by families and providing similar facilities and home cooked food.
Reason for not giving 5 Star is that there is always a room for improvement. Owners response and information sharing with guests is a weak area.
Definitely will be going back sometimes.

The first look at the place offers calm and satisfaction to the minds. The excitement of crossing the river can't be matched, so made several trips on foot through the wooden bridge they constructed. Please use fresh river water to wash your car. The property is huge and walking through them is mesmerising. You have opportunity to meet and greet several like minded people who dropped by while you were here. Thank you Varun, Monty and others who helped with the sumptuous meals. India has so much to offer so coming back to the place may not be practical, but I strongly recommend a visit to tickle your imagination and taste buds.

It is a very beautiful property, the best I have come across, rooms are comfortable, big and very beautiful as well. The hosts are very good and hospitable. They serve simple yet very good food, the property has apple, cherry, walnuts, plums and peaches planted all over and is situated on the tirthan river bank.
