Recently we did our spiti trip with Rakeshji. He is an experienced driver, very soft spoken, helpful and quite knowledgeable about the unusual terrain of the spiti valley. He is excellent person with all the knowledge of route Manali- Kaza and in Spiti. Very humble, professional and nature loving person and absolutely amazing driving skills. Very helpful he almost help 3-4 cars stuck en route.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM RAKESH THAKUR AND YASHPAL. Rakesh agreed to 15000 for the trip from Simla to manali and then drop at Kalka Railway station. The driver he assigned to us was Yashpal. We paid 8000 in advance amd the rest 7000 was supposed to be paid when we get off. While returning to Kalka he stopped at a place called Parwanoo and asked for the money because he had to pay taxes. We gave him 7000 as decided but he demanded extra money orelse asked us to get off the car in the middle of the road at 10 pm in the night where no other transport was available and also not safe. Finally we gave him the extra money he demanded orelse we would have missed our train at 11 55 pm from kalka. He took undue advantage of the fact that we had our train that same night.

We had availed Rakeshjee's services in Mar 2020 for our trip to Spiti and had a pleasant experience.
Rakeshjee is experienced, informed and very responsible. He is dedicated towards his tasks at hand and makes sure that his companions do not face inconvenience. He is accommodative and helpful. We would highly recommend him if you are looking for a reliable cab service.

Touring with rakesh ji was extremely comfortable and lovely experience. He is well informed about the entire spiti circuit and has knowledge about the place which needs to be visited.

Rakesh was our driver and guide on a 10 day trip through the Himachal Pradesh - Chitkul, Rekong Peo, Spiti, Kaza, Komic Chandratal Lake, Kunzum Pass. Fanstastic experienced driver. He was very friendly, spoke good English, great sense of humour, and helped with ensuring our tour accomodation arrangements went smoothly. We went for Spiti valley tour with Rakesh. The very first day when he picked us from Chandigarh Airport, he was like one of our Family members.

No rash driving and never we saw him quarelling or abusing any other drivers who were driving horribly. He just concentrated on his driving skills and our comforts. He is very informative with the places we visited and hence we never felt the absence of any guide in the tour. Without we telling, he understood what things we like to see and was concentrating explaining the details of places of our interest.

For me though the birding photography was not part of my Spiti tour, but when I started identifying few sighted birds, he showed utmost interest in me getting more than 35 variety of birds photographed during the journey.
