Rakkh Resort

We had been here just last week with old parents and two small kids.
Won't be an exaggeration if I say that this was the most memorable experience for us.
The resort has a very friendly vibe to it with the staff being very courteous and helpful.
The diy stations and variety of activities offered to kids and adults is the highlight of this place.
This place becomes successful in keeping us away from technology and still keeping us busy.
The nature here is at its best and one should carry enough warm clothes to be comfortable.
Steep walk to the villas makes old ppl little uncomfortable but one can always take a buggie and ask for a villa close to kitchen while booking.
Another unique thing they offer is local delicacies.
Special Dhaam food is offered for breakfast and dinner when it's full house.
Also we could enjoy their live band which was very very good.
They provide conveyance (chargeable) if u wish to visit nearby places such as Mcleodganj, Palampur, Dharamshala or monastery.
The activities that they offer needs special mention.
Kids enjoyed weaving and pottery a lot.
Trek to the stream (night trek)
20kms trek to the Dhauladhar mountain ranges.
Village walk n local breakfast.
Dartboard, Archery, scavenger hunt, wall climbing, sky cycling and many many more interesting activities for the kids keep them totally occupied.
Quirky notice boards everywhere really grab ur attention.
New addition is the swimming pool which is not heated but if u are lucky enough to have a sunny day then it's really worth experiencing.
Swati their GM is a very warm hearted lady who keeps good care of all the guests with a personal touch.
The rest of the staff too is nice and jolly.
Travel to and from the resort can be tiresome but then all good things come with a price right!
So next time if u wish to get away to a far away place then u now know where to go.

Has some climbs within the resort but outstanding service and location. Strongly recommended

No wifi in rooms
No tv in rooms
No mini bar in rooms

Rakkh resort is one of the best places in india where you would get everything at one place.

Had been there. In 2021.it was a wonderful experience.the food was amazing.every time there was a different menu.different flavours and methods of food making eg.good cooked on chula, dham food slow cooking in earthen vessels etc.the dham food had so many dishes and severed hot just the way they serve in the local special traditional events. The veggies were grown there so farm fresh food. Also for meat lovers the sheep meat was very tasty (sheep who graze in the mountains).
And after all that eating u have to imb the steep slope.helps in digesting the food and not feeling guilty for the calori intake.
We also went on a small trek initially and next day went on a longer trek.we were accompanied by the staff and two beautiful Labradors. One dog in front and one behind the group.after we reached the top after 2 to 3 hrs of steep climb had nice Maggie and sandwiches and parathas along with garama garam chai severed to us. There we saw the traditional houses made of stone of the local shepherds.
The hospitality is amazing.

The owners were always there and sure everything is in place.
Had a great time with family and friends.thank u Rakh for the memorable trip. Luv u

For peace lover this is the best place.if u want to spent some alone time or family time far from everything then go for it

Not letting guests to dine in who have specially come from a far distance doesn’t make sense for a property like this. Being stopped at the entry gate is not a nice welcoming gesture either.

Awesome place! Highly helpful staff, Beautiful scenery! Lovely rooms! Worth to spend on such a beautiful place! Fresh atmosphere with so much positive energy and vibes.words are less to describe! For me its a beautiful experience.

Beautiful location, well maintained property, the BEST STAFF I have ever come across, absolutely loved the food especially the local cuisine served by them. Words cannot express the amazing experience me and my family had last year at Raakh resort!

Property was good and persons also good worthy stay must stay to live with nature but we missed the pool as it was under construction overall nice place to stay specially chula roti

Location is good, property is very good but food was hopeless, they provide Himachali food in dinner for continuously for two days, taste was very bad, staff behavior was very rude and even they don’t know how many guest to feed, so food was finished before your turn came, they give only rice and a Himachali vegetable to eat, so please carry your food along with you before visiting this place.

Visited June 2022. Excellent place to stay. Lots of activities for everyone. They have maintained their high standard whether its room food or activities. I have never seen such staff, they are very polite and very helpful, fast service. Always ready to help. Everyone should visit this place.

Just to sum up
1 serene location where you can not only see nature but hear and feel it as well
2 food is delicious.evening tea, coffe, kahwa with snacks on the terrace is just amazing
3 staff is super courteous
4 no tv and wifi, which is why we get around and about
5 maggi station, juice station, archery, pottery, weaving, treks, mountain biking, rock climbing, treasure hunt, and what not. Kids had the best time and they also got their very own activity passports
6 traditional himachal food served on a leaf plate was drool worthy. Plus the whole setup on the floor in a kutcha hut was a good village experience
7 special mention for the hospitality of the owner and ms swati
P.s. Don't think twice, this place is totally worth every penny

This place is under the shade of Dula Dhar of Himalyan range occupied with fresh air, water, greenery, transport, market, hospital and number of worship temple/historical places.

Very satisfied with our stay Infact were a little sceptical initially planning to stay at a place where they had at the outset proclaimed that there will b no TV and room service as they want us to indulge in natural surroundings and promote the guests to dine together But as we were ourselves seeking to b away from the humdrum of the routine city life we went for it. And what a nice experience it was we thoroughly enjoyed the resort hospitality as well as soaked in the surroundings to the hilt with various treks all around. The general manager Mr Soumitra was exceptionally helpful and every other staff like Raman who took us for the treks and Manager Mr Moka and Sunny all were very polite and courteous. Definitely a place we may plan another trip

WORLD MOST DIRTIEST HOTEL. WORST FOOD, EXORBITANT RATES, POOR HYGIENE AND SANITATION, ARROGANT BEHAVIOR STAFF, MANAGER DO NOT CARE, NEVER TEMPT FOR COMPLIMENTARY LUNCH AND DINNER WTH THIS HOTEL, WORST FOOD, OVER ALL EVEN I DO NOT WANT TO GET ONE STAR, I SUGGEST NEVER AND EVER BOOK THIS HOTEL, PRICING VERY HIGH THAT COMPARED TO OTHER HOTELS.this has to be the worst hotel i have ever seen.its more like a hostel for down and outs! I can't tell how bad it is it truly is dreadful

Stayed out of curiousity as I've heard the really horrible reputation of it. The rooms are small dirty and stinky. It's beyond just dirty. I rather live on the streets than stay in this peice of doodoo of a hotel again. NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL. COS IT IS THE WORST ONE IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

Mesmirizing views and great commitment to service being offered. The evening dinner made of the Himachali cuisine is Immensely tasty.

Best place for relaxation from daily routine. One must go there in group so that you enjoy maximum. Best part was there is no television and Wi-Fi there. You can spend maximum time with your family. Food was excellent. Staff was very cooperative. Value for money stay. I wish to go there again

This resort provides a different experience.
It is on the hilltop and the thing that i like most is that it has a maggi shop which is open 24/7

Super cool place in the lap of Dhauladhar, excellent staff, gud food & lot of outdoor plus indoor activities for all age group alike.owner has really taken care of the landscaping & esthatic sense, was surprised also to find lot of vegetables grown in the estate which surely must be catering for local & continental delicacies.

The resort is natural beauty at its best. Great surroundings, friendly staff, spacious and well furnished rooms. There are a large number of activities both indoors and outdoors. They take us trekking and guide us in every way possible. Their golden retriever is the cherry on the top. We visited last weekend and it was the most refreshing and amazing vacation we ever had!

We choose the resort just by reading the reviews and the experience was beyond our expectations.
The resort was full of activities right from the word go.
Children were all the time involved in something or the other.
Trekking both day and night, mountain biking, rock climbing, making Maggi, omelettes and juices.
Also the activity arena was a fun place to be involved in family time.
The manager Soumitra Singh was active just as we arrived and planned our stay. KH Moka and his team was involved in planning all the outdoor activities.
Chef Shiv Kumar and his team served us sumptuous and delicious meals including the evening high tea.
The Dhaam dinner and cultural evening in the activity area which served local Kangra cuisine was something to cherish about.
The staff at the resort was most courteous particularly Sandeep, Vikas, Raman, Sunny, Pawan and made all the efforts to make our stay comfortable.
And the two lovely resort dogs, the reserved Tina and most affectionate Tully who accompanied us on the treks.
This resort has a 'family' feel.
The manager, the Chef and the staff will come and chat with you anytime and make efforts to ensure that the guests are comfortable.

No doubt well layed out with good facilities, but the core of any organisation is the employees. Really pathetic behaviour, was waiting at the reception for an hour to be precise. Inspite of repeated calls by the gate keeper, no one showed up at the front office. Finally decided to let them remain in peace and left.
To the owner/ manager: Kindly invest in proficient people, that would really help the resort in going a long way ahead.

Good interiors. Staff needs more training. The GM is very helpful and nice. Okay for a short break. Lovely view of Dhauladhar.

The resort is nice. People are great. The location is awesome in rainy/winter/cloudy season. But summer is tough here.
@ 9000-10000, it is a good choice with all the meals, Activities (Cooking/archery/juicing/games/music/dancing), Trekking inclusive.
When you are in this resort better to stay only here and enjoy the time. Going out and visiting other places will ruin the experience. 2-3 days are okay to stay.

Amazing place. Wonderful staff, polite and helpful. They have some great activities like mounting biking and trekking, don't miss them.

This place is ideal for a family vacation with more inclination towards spending time with family. Enough activities are available for spending family time without getting stuck up in the mad traffic jams to visit some tourist attraction for taking pictures.

Loved this resort in the mountains. A real treat to retreat into nature and connect with our family through activities like weaving, pottery, rock climbing, biking, hiking, archery, camp fires, etc. Quality customer service that caters to your every want/need. Plus Delhi and Tina, the dogs, were always warm and friendly. Special thanks to Moka and Saumitre for their care, attention and help wth everything during our stay. Highly recommend this resort for 2-3nights in the mountains.

Located in the beautiful Himachal close to the Dhauladharh range, it is a nice resort with ample of activities, Bonfire lavish local buffet spreads. Food is simple yet awesome with too much masala. One must stay for atleast a week to unwind. Would love to visit time and again.
