It's not a retreat but actually a home (in the best way possible!)
Recently visited here for 3 days and 2 nights and trust me these were the best days ever. The owner Rohan is the most beautiful soul, he's warm, genuine and so interesting. Rahul and Dilip do a fantastic job in the kitchen and around the property. I can't recommend this place enough
The food is mind-blowing and extremely tasty. The cottages are simple but equipped with all the basic necessities that one might need. Definitely go here and meet ROLLO as well:) attaching pictures for reference.

I recently stayed at Rollo's Retreat in Bir, Himachal Pradesh and it was an incredible experience. The home stay is nestled in the midst of nature and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
The hosts, Rohan and Dilip, were extremely welcoming and made sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were cozy and clean, with all the necessary amenities provided.
What I loved the most about this place was the peace and quiet it offered. The location is perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with nature.

The food served at Rollo's Retreat was delicious and authentic, with a variety of local dishes on offer. The hosts even arranged for a bonfire on one of the evenings, which was a lovely way to spend time with fellow guests.

Overall, I would highly recommend Rollo's Retreat the best stay in bir billing to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic experience in the mountains. It truly exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait to go back again.

Rollo’s has been my fav place ever since i first went there, another world within bir, the serenity and tranquility i believe is there isn’t anywhere else! Totally recommending this place if you want to submerge yourself in nature’s sound. ️

Beautiful property, stunning nature all around you, and perfectly appointed rooms. The cottages open up to farmland and you’ll have a bird’s eye view of Bir. The staff is super cool and the food is delicious and mostly farm to table. Would 100 per cent, wholeheartedly recommend.

A pet friendly retreat with the cutest dogs around! Rohan is a great host, Dillip will take you around and talk about his plants which are like his babies and Rahul will make you eat the yummiest food!

Rollo's Retreat has the most amazing view and is a hidden gem. With trees enveloping you from all sides.

Stayed at Rollo's retreat a few weeks back, and absolutely loved it. The property is super quaint, and surrounded by so much nature. It's very spacious and open. The rooms are extremely rooms, clean, and the hospitality is out of the world. The entire place has a certain vibe and charm that is just what you're looking for in a place like Bir, Himachal. Loved the food as well, and the variety of the menu. They also host a lot of activities here, like yoga and meditation workshops and sessions, if you're looking for that kind of vacation. Otherwise they suggest and hook you up with some nice activities and offbeat places to visit in and around Bir, like hotsprings, waterfalls and paragliding. Overall a great place to stay in Bir. Can't wait to go back.

Off beat location, but very nice and peaceful hosts serving some fresh food from the farm and some cute isolated vibes in Bir.

Staying at Rollo's Retreat was a surreal and amazing experience! The hosts are wonderful hoomans and there is no shortage of dogs. The rooms were clean, bug free, and so great to stay in. The food was filled with love and great flavour! Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for peace and quiet in nature.

Wholesome AFLovely and peaceful vibes. Spacious rooms with enough space between each cottage (and clean, simple furnishings, a rare escape from the visually/ hygienically offensive upholstery locally available). People to hang with, spaces to be alone or work and loving doggos that greet you like a long lost friend at sunrise or whenever they see you first. The food is fantastic and an offering for the good health of nature and your body. Rollo, Rohan, Havomi, Pintu Bhai and Jaago Devi cared for us dearly and whole heartedly. Have a great stay, we can't wait to be back

Rollo’s retreat is like a second home in Himachal. Beautiful cottages with all amenities necessary to have a lovely and comfortable stay.

Rollo, is the most amazing being I’ve ever met on this earth. He is a charming American Bully and warmly welcomes everyone at Rollos Retreat. Rollo also accompanies guests on treks and little walks to the cafe’s near by. However, Rollo’s Retreat Cafe provides a variety of cuisines that one doesn’t have to really step out for food. Pintu Bhai (chef at Rollo’s Retreat) is the best cook ever in Bir. The food that he makes and the food that the cafe at Rollos Retreat offers is par excellence.

Rohan, the host is one of the the most welcoming and warm persons I’ve ever met. Conversations with Rohan are great each and everytime I’ve been there.

Bir is famous for paragliding and many head to Bir expecting the gush air while paragliding. But apart from paragliding Rollo’s Retreat has much more to offer.

I’ve always had the best experience at Rollo’s Retreat.

We had a very enjoyable meeting with Rohan the owner, who showed us the place, it looks like a truely great place for retreat, hope to visit you for a longer stay someday.

Had a fabulous stay at Rollo's. Rohan and Havovi are running an absolute gem of a getaway. Peaceful with brilliant views of the valley and the mountains beyond, with you staying literally on the stepped farms. Grow their own vegitables too. Before I get to the food let me continue on the property. On a sunny day you can just spend the entire afternoon basking in the sun and have the chirps of quaint and exotic (for a city person) birds for company. I spent several hours on the hammock doing exactly that, with the sounds of the literally a stone throw away stream keeping me company. Needless to say quite relaxing. I was working partly as well, and while I worked in the common area paragliders gently made their way down the skies to the landing area which was easily visible from where I worked. After having spent a considerable amount of time in and around Bir I can safely say that this place has one of the best locations, if not the best. It you feel like going for a walk there are ample destinations. Going to the market was a favourite pastime for us.
Coming to the food, each and every creation was brilliant. I say creation and not dish. We went from continental breakfast to pahadi rajma to laal Maas to Korean Bibimbap and each dish was sumptuous. Shout out to Pintu, the cook, who is also great company if you're in the mood for a conversation. He'll also teach you Croquet, and will take good pleasure in beating you too. Was a specially satisfying day when me and my friend finally beat him.
Havovi also served us amazing deserts, from banana bread to cinnamon rolls to chocolate mousse. Quite heavenly. Also to mention these guys do their own sauces, apple jam, cheese, hummus. Quite a nice range.
Having said all this, hospitality was the biggest draw. Rohan is extremely warm and just draws you in. Keeps you company throughout and is a repository of stories. He'll plan your day for you and also arrange help. He'll tell you the remotest and hidden places to visit. These guys personally took us to a hot spring that is reached after a 1.5 hour mountain Trek. Was quite a highlight for us. They also arranged for us experienced and dependable paragliders, which was a relief.
However, the absolute cherry on the top is Rollo himself. You'll fall in love with him in a minute, like countless before you. This big, warm dog has an amazing personality.
Missing the place a lot and surely going to go there again!

I had the pleasure of staying with Rohan and Havovi at their Rollo farm last week and with no doubt I can highly recommend this place to anyone. Someone rightly said that a house is made home because of the people who live and love in it and that's quite true for rollos:)

If you enjoy the quiet, nature, good views and great hospitality away from crowds, do give them a try when in Bir. Ohh, and Rollo is quite a delight to be around)

The hosts Rohan and Havovi made everything absolutely comfortable for us during our stay. And oh, the food is to die for! Super fresh and delicious. Don’t forget to ask for Pintuji’s beetroot tacos.
