Ropa Cottage and apple orchard

This has been my go to place in every holidays. The owner of this place, Mukesh ji, is a very humble person. The location is the best. I don't think you can have such calm location so near to Mandi. The valley is amazing and the treks are raw and unexplored. The rooms are decent, now that they have panoramic rooms for star gazing. Service needs improvement for which Mukesh ji has always been improving.

This is a must visit place. Highly recommended.

We are staying in the glass lodge inside the apple orchard. It is breathtakingly beautiful.there is a balcony like place attached to the room which is covered with glass from four sides along with ceiling, the view of the mountains and sunset and if the sky is clear one can star-gaze as well. Food is nice.homely.very quiet and private place for a complete detachment.loved it.

Subset and view is breath taking, a must visit place for offbeat lovers, no crowd and nature at its best and raw.

Pathetic! Booked the place two months before the trip with all the requirements well explained keeping in mine the winters and sub zero temperature. Even informed Me Mukesh about the early arrival with the expectation that everything will be prepared by him to make us comfortable after long and tiring journey. Unfortunately nothing was prepared by him rather we were supposed to sit in open for at least 3 hours from 6: 30 to 9 30 with our luggage kept in open. We were literally shivering and cursing ourselves for planning to come here. Based on the reviews given online. The ordeal didn't end here. A very small tent was pitched stating that it's, camping in which worthless sleeping bags were given to us. We were, asked to use bathrooms without geyser or even running water in toilets.
Day one when some guests suddenly departed then we were given the cottage that was booked by me well in advance. I still think that when the only available cottage was booked by me how could he booked the same for other tourists! I understood well that I committed a big mistake.
The cottage itself is no less than a stable with no cleaning of rooms for even a single day of our thee day stay there. Mouse coming and sleeping with us. Eating our edibles and throughout night howling of dogs would not let you sleep in peace.
One star for food and the behaviour of both cook and our guide! Think twice before planning any trip there.
