Low grade service.
Dinner timings was 9: 00pm.but they closed at 8: 30pm
Specially to the owner. You should be nice to your customer. Your attitude shows how you treat the other. If someone from other place visiting to your place, you should have to welcome them, so that we can visit again.

Very very remote location, dingy no lifts only stairs, difficult to carry your own luggage, photos online didn't match at all. Not worth.

Had Amazing experience in staying at this BnB, got in touch with Owner Mahendra he was very helpful in guiding for directions and places to visit.
It's away from the usual hotel places in sector 4 Shimla but it is totally worth the view and hospitality offered at Saiba Cottage.

Its been an amazing experience staying here for 3 nights. The room is so clean and well maintained. Most importantly, the owner Mr. Mahinder is so friendly and helpful. I loved the balcony scenic view. They have sofa in the balcony where you can spend quality time with your partner. The staff is fantastic. They are really helpful, friendly. Planning for my next stay soon️

We wanted to have different experience on this trip but were sceptical of booking a BnB at first. Thanks to Mahindra uncle (owner) who changed not just our mind but also created an experience for lifetime. We are already planning to visit this place again in summers. Highly recommended to everyone looking for comfortable stay in shimla with homely experience, food and views.

This is an amazing and beautiful place for home stay with all the facilities, i stay here for 3 days, and honestly i feel like a home, this place is divided into 3 floors, available for singles/couples as well as for big family. I guess this is a perfect place for couples and families, and friends. You will get all the facilities, including kitchen, geaser for hot water, refrigerator, water purifier, utensils, cooling appliances, fan, tv, single double and triple bed, open space and beautiful terrace. Staff is amazing, very helpful, polite and experienced, available 24*7 in room service. Food is also available on demand. This place is located in new shimla near to mall road if you have your own vehicle.

I loved the cottage, it is clean and sanitized rooms and washrooms are also very clean loved the view from the balcony, the food and the service was also very nice would love to comeback soon

Review of Saiba Cottage, Shimla.

Located in the suburbs of New Shimla is Saiba Cottage. We were warmly welcomed by Mahendra uncle, the owner of Saiba Cottage. He was very chivalrous and made us feel at home instantly. We had delightful conversations with him. A well-travelled and learned man, he shared his knowledge and experiences with us. The house staff was very friendly and polite. Food was delicate, light and refreshing. Our room was extra spacious which had a vintage feel with oak wood touch ceilings. The room had cosy sofas, a rocking chair with a huge comfortable bed. The floors were well carpeted. It had several glass windows to enjoy the hill side view. The room had a separate fully functional kitchen with all the necessities like Aquaguard, cooktop and utensils. Bathroom was squeaky clean and was fitted with solar heating and geyser. We had our tea in the beautiful balcony with beautiful blooms like geraniums and petunias with an enchanting backdrop of the green hills and quaint cottage houses in the valley. Our stay at Saiba Cottage made our trip to Shimla an extra special one.

The stay was pleasant, the Hotel management's cooperation and courtesy was excellent. Had a joyful stay.

Good place to stay in cottage. Nice home made food. Food is lil costly & takes time. But its selfmade so its reasonable. Best scenic view from Balcony. Chachaji is very helpfull with taxi & other services. Heater is available at nominal extra cost. Rooms are small but adequate for couples. Can enjoy breakfast in balcony with view of snowy hills all around & clouds all over. Lil bit far away from city but can have local Ola taxis too.

What to praise? Mr. Mahinder, the owner, the property, the location, the peaceful environment, the scenic views, the cleanliness, the hospitality by the owner and the staff, the friendly and welcoming behavior, adding delights to the whole stay, the food, the reasonable charges. The list is long.

First of all, i want to say it was my first solo trip of life from west Bengal to Shimla, Kufri, Naldehra, Narkanda, and the trip went soo well, this stay played a vital role in making the trip so secure and comfortable. I booked the hotel seeing good star rating in make my trip. Firstly i booked it for 1 night but after i went there desperately booked for another 3 nights. Khase bolun aur kha khatm krun, Mahinder Kumar Sir, from the starting of my journey till i reached my home guided thoroughly. Arranged bonfire for us i met there with such lovely people. We shared thoughts, experiences for lifetime. Sir, also joined us and shared adventurous experiences from his colorful life. The way Sir made me feel for the rest of my life if i go to shimla i will stay only in Saiba cottage. Secondly, the view. He provided me with a room with balcony view. You can see in pictures i have shared. And last but not the least Rajkumari ji k haat ka khana. Abhi bhi yaad hai. I'm really thankful to myself for choosing this hotel for my trip.

We booked it for one night but when we reached there it was nice. Then we stayed for 4 nights. Clean room and toilet. Everything is working like gyser, led. Very nice veiw from balcony. Staff was very nice. Food is also good. The owner is very nice person. He is very helpful and not gready person. He treats you like family. He don't charge more for anything. A big no no for this property.
Although the view from the balcony is amazing but then if I talk about services than seriously they have a long way to go. Location is nowhere near to Mall road. You cannot even have your phone on ringer.a tea (that too pathetic one) costs you 40 rupees which is way higher than what you have to pay and Indian coffee house shimla. A simple empty plates also cost you 100 rupees. Even if you want to go out for a walk in the night even after taking permission from them they behave as if they are your guardian. Please only visit this property if you have some test to be given and have less money.

Mr. Kumar is a wonderful host, engaging and extremely knowledgeable about Shimla and its history. Saiba Cottage is located in New Shimla - away from the bustle of the city, but still well-connected. We really loved our host's library as well as his extensive garden.

I will like start this post by thanking Mr. Mahinder Kumar for having such a nice property. It was like home away from home. He provided us the room on the top floor which has access to open space of the valley view to rear of the hotel. The floors below has adjacent balcony at the rear to enjoy the valley view. In the morning enjoying the sunrise with hot cup of coffee is just serene. The locality is very peaceful and safe even for a single girls traveling there. Mr. Kumar was so helpful before even we reached the cottage. He asked me how are we traveling there and how to reach there. He got in touch several time so that we reach safely. He gave us some tourist guide books of shimla and Himachal Pradesh to make out plans which he personally owns. He even guided us with lot of information about how to travel around without spending a lot of money. You can get a bus to lift near Mall road just 5 min walking distance from the cottage. He is available on phone any time you need him for help. The whole house is so well decorated with selective things. The food you get there is just like home cooked food and only veg food, so people looking for non-veg food have to get from outside. The last day, I never wanted to go back it was like leaving your home. He even came till the bus stop to meet us before we left. You should stay there to experience as words really can explain in detail.

Very small rooms, TONS OF INSECTS in Room, small TV on Table. Leakage n Seepage in Bathroom (Refer pics), no proper way to close bathroom, no exhaust Fan in Bathroom.

Haven't visited yet. But heard good from the people with recommendation that it is a nice place at a reasonable rate.
