If you are looking for fun with family then you can visit.
But it's very crowded in weekends and you don't have much things to do here.
You can do small boat ride and some small park to click fotos with family and friends.
You can get beautiful view of dhauladhar mountain from the bridge and enjoy some snacks from the food van.

Picnic spot near palampur. In this park the acquarium is very beautiful. A nice place for children to visit here. Boating, swing and other activities are available here

Its a great place for family picnics and tourists may visit this place to enjoy some quality time with nature. There are forests within the area and should be a priority place for nature lovers. This place is made in the honour of Capt. Saurabh Kalia and the specifics of who he was and what he did are engraved on a statue there.

Saurabh Van Vihar had already been destroyed because of some flooding when i visited it but there is a nice stream of chilled water where you can sit and enjoy and it also has a wire bridge where you can enjoy the view.

This place is great for adventure but because of flood some adventurous activities were closed like river rafting but activities like zip line, river crossing, etc are there.

Due due the disaster caused by cloud burst, all the vihar has converted into ruins. But work for is re-establishment is going on.

This place is closed due to the damage caused by heavy rains. Otherwise this place is perfect for a small family picnic.

We enjoyed fully in the company of family members and the Nature. Climbed the steepest roads inthe romantic environment.

Captain Saurabh Kalia  (1976–1999) was an officer of the Indian Army who was martyred during the Kargil War while being held as a prisoner of war by the Pakistan Army.  He along with five other soldiers of his patrolling team were captured alive and kept in captivity where they were tortured, then killed.
