Seclude Palampur, Himachal Pradesh

Pathetic pathetic pathetic place. The images online do not match any single things that is there on ground. The place stinks, and is badly managed. Not worth 7k a night. More like a 2k hotel. I do not recommend anyone to go there.

The most horrible experience ever. The pictures shown are deceptive. The real place is no where similar to the pictures. The place doesn't have the basic amenities of a good hotel. No electricity backup and the power cuts in this area are longer than 2 hours. All drainage in the washroom are blocked. The balconies have no drainage.it becomes a swimming pool after one heavy rain. In the name of the movie night.they have given a projector with slowest internet service. The interiors are horrendous. The team at the backend has no interest whatsoever in resolving the matter of this particular property as per their manager. The only interest in charging too much money for which the place is not worth at all.

- The area is not at all secluded, so the name is misleading.
- Cheap and old furnishings, especially the main sofa was very underwhelming. Like a cheap youth hostel sofa.
- Bedrooms are not of equal size, are old and faded. The one bedroom below was badly infested with mold and was unhabitable. We had booked entire villa, but had to fit ourselves in the 3 rooms on the first floor, one of which was too small to live in. The fixtures, door handles, were all loose and coming out.
- Most bathrooms are small and all are of very very low quality. Fittings, tiles etc.nothing premium.
- Surroundings of the property are filthy. Plastic bags everywhere along the road and in the canal. Not swach Bharat at all.
- View from the common balcony is very mediocre. Only one room has a view, otherwise you have to step out of the premises entirely and walk a bit to see the mountains outside.
- Unfair booking terms. They take entire fee advance and have no guest friendly terms of cancellation. Even in off-season, when there was red alert of floods and flights were cancelled, they were not agreeing to reschedule our booking.

If they upgrade the property, lower the costs and change the name, then it might be better.

Very Calm and well maintain property, if you are looking for a homely stay with awesome food, this place is for you guys, must visit for all the travel lover and staff is very helpful, every thing is perfect from location to rooms from food to view

Beautiful place but the USP of the property is their staff. They take good care of the guests, property is very well maintained, food is one of the best I have had in and around this area.

This is my second stay with Seclude, i earlier stayed at Seclude, kasauli, and both the times were great.

This time we were staying here at Seclude, Palampur with friends, and had the most wonderful time here.
Mr Udham Singh ji, Mr Bajinder Singh and Mr Chain Singh ji, we’re extremely warm and always there for assistance.
The property was beautifully done and our overall experience was amazing…

I am rating this as one star based on the fact, that the property did not care to respond to my email requesting for cancellation. Usually, we expect some response - either yes or no. But in this case there was none!

Ohh, I am in love with this place. Don't know what really made the impact.the location, the wonderful and cheerful staff, the manager uncle who treated us like his own or the chef uncle who cooks amazing food. I kid you not when I say you will get whole ghar ki feeling while staying here.
I can't wait to go there and enjoy the amazing hospitality again

Seclude palampur is a beautiul place located in between farms, fields and villages. The red cedar cottage where i stayed is a special and unique room, nicely decorated and very inviting. The food is so good and is given generously. Bajinder takes care of everything and you really feel welcomed there.
I highly recommend the place to everyone looking for a serene place in the mountains.

Lovely place.with lovely views of mountains and greenery.most important very calm place.there are only sounds which you can hear is of birds and water falling through the fields.the staff of seclude Mr. Udham Singh. Mr. Bijender. Mr. Himachal ji (Chef). And Mr. Chain Singh (property manager), all are very supportive and kind.they made the environment like home. I love the food also.fresh.homely.tasty

Nestled in The outskirts of Palampur, seclude justifies its name. The food is good. The Red Cedar cottage has a country side theme. A Bathtub in the Cottage can surely be added though.

The team including Mr. Bajinder and Mr. Chain Singh are extremely helpful and accomodating. Service no doubt is good.

A break was much needed after the hustle and bustle of the city, and my family and I could not have picked a better spot than Seclude Palampur. True to its name, its nestled in a small hamlet, in the middle of lush fields and the towering snowy peaks of the Dhauladhars forming a gorgeous view from the rooms and balconies of Seclude.

The place was easy enough to find, with adequate signage along the way. The rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable, with every amenity you could want. But what really sets Seclude apart is the service of the staff there - they were outstanding. Right from Mr. Chain Singh to the chef to the gent who would bring along the morning tea with a smile, we were made to feel at home at Seclude.
We had an elderly person accompanying us who could not join us for all the touristy jaunts during our stay, but she was taken such good care of by the staff, who went above and beyond the call of duty.

The food whipped up by the ever-grinning chef was homely and delicious, and we all found ourselves eating far more than we would otherwise.

All in all, we had a wonderful stay at the property, and look forward to our next trip there!

The place is true to its name, located amidst nature go here for calm and bliss. The words will not be enough to desribe the experience we had. The staff and management is super duper nice and courteous, we stayed in room titli and the red ceddar cottage. Rooms are astheically designed and spacious. The property has 4 rooms and one cottage, all the rooms carry a different theme and vibe

Food served is homely and tasty, staff makes sure you are always looked after during the stay.

A must visit if you are looking for break from hustle bustle of the city to unwind and relax. Palampur has almost no tourist attraction, nearest is dharamshala and meclodganj which are about an hour drive from here.

This quaint property nestled in the cosy corner of Palampur is exceptional. Truly exceptional. We stayed in their most beautiful room - Red Ceddar. The view from the room is of Dhauladhar range and endless green farms.

The staff here is like family. Chain Singhji stole our hearts away. He is the kindest man we have met. So loving and caring - we felt so much at home. Bajinder Singh ji is one rockstar. He took very good care of us and managed everything so well. Chef Saab served us a variety of delicious food - better than you have eaten anywhere else. Must try is their Himachali Kangri Dham.

We cannot wait to be here again! Our hearts are full as we leave this place.

Really amazing place to be, with amazing views from the glasses while u r on bed. The food is also delicious and worth it. The staff are just too good at their hospitality. I am sure to make another visit soon.

A beautiful property in a quaint village, totally worth a visit if you like quiet. The staff is friendly and hospitable. The food was home style and very yummy, and they let u decide the menu, which is really awesome.
The uninterrupted views of the Dauladhar range is magical. No second thought about recommending this place. Go for it.

Lovely place short of the bustling town of Palampur with lovely views. The Red Cedar cottage is a gem!

A great place and location. Excellent food and service. Chain Singh and Barjinder go out of the way. However avoid staying in the Red Ceddar Cottage during winters. The stone tile roof and floor make the room uncomfortably cold in the evenings. With 2 heaters you need to wear your jackets while sitting inside. The cottage needs false roofing to keep the warm air in.

Most polite and gentle man i ever met. Owner has very welcoming nature, with wonderful place to visit. Am very glad i visited property. Although cabin is the best place to stay with wonderful views

The beauty of this boutique getaway is unbelievable. Red Cottage is pick of this place. It is surrounded by lush green fields and open land, with vertical mountains of the Dauladhar range in the background. The cottage itself is surreal. Ceiling high windows and mud architecture give it a dream look. All this comes with homestay luxury and warm and welcoming staff. Dev, Chain Singh, the septuagenarian chef and all the other staff were exceptional in their service.

Dev who served us at the place was amazing at his social skills. This is a secluded villa.far from dharamshala or McLeodganj. The mountain view was great and seen from all bedrooms. Well kept property but far hence travel time increases.

It says it right there. Seclude! Lovely lovely homestay with some gorgeous views of the fields all around and yummy food courtesy their great Chef! Also got great service by all the staff, especially by Mr. Chain Singh and Dev.

Rooms were great with sweeping windows, and the electric blankets kept us warm and cosy.even in a storm!

This year has been quite a difficult one for most of us in some way or the other. Being home for 8 months, we friends decided to travel. We found this quaint place admist a village called seclude and it goes exactly by its name. Away from the hustle bustle of the city life. We got ourselves their red cedar cottage and the view is breathtaking. The service is excellent, their host Dev Singh, and other helps along with the cook, serve delicious home cooked meals and are always available at your service. As we head back home, we will remember this experience for long.

A beautiful place with extremely efficient service! Set against the backdrop of the Himalayas, the place gives you such a cozy and homely vibe, the best for a relaxing holiday. Would love to come here again sometime. The home cooked food is sumptious, there are books to read, the evenings are spent in front of a bonfire. It can get quite cold here, but they have heaters in the room to take care of that. Very well managed place.

A chic place away from the hustle & buzz of crowd, amidst the village, lies this beautiful hotel. And if the view were not enough to mesmerize you, there comes the care taker of this place. A humble man, who made sure our stay was Home away form home. The service staff were cherry on the top. A place where I can visit every year. Last but not the least - was the food that was served. Be it Chicken curry or Rajma, hadn't tasted it even in the best-est of multi starrer restaurants.

Excellent place to relax. Classic landscape near the home stay. Food is very good but rooms are small & compact. No electricity from evening to morning. We went out for a dinner at the Joy restaurant on the way back there was a very heavy rain. It was very difficult to locate the road leading to the home stay. Excellent place to relax for a day or two. Very well behaved staff. Morning walk is a must here.

U cant get a wonderful and peaceful destination in palampur better than seclude. I always feels like home whenever i comes this side. The welcome gesture and service is just commendable and one will always feel relax and cherish in this wonderful retreat in the lap of

I ended up staying an additional night and had to move somewhere else, ajdntyhat made me realise how cool Seclude was.it's not your normal hotel, but think of it as living with a family with total independence and comfort with your privacy.

Beautiful property situated outside the main Palampur city with an exasperating view of the mountains, clear blue sky and ample clouds. The property may be difficult to locate, do ask for directions to Chachian Nagri for local assistance.

The food for all meals is cooked on request in the homely kitchen. Although it is mildly expensive, it is extremely delicious and turns out the same price if you factor in travel cost to Palampur city.

Kudos to Chain Singh, the local manager of the property and the staff.

It's more of a homestay. About 10km short of Palampur, this place lives by its name - Seclude!
The bungalow from outside has a really British look to it. They have 3 rooms on the first floor, 1 room on the ground floor and a separate glass cottage just outside opposite to the main property. The owner is sweet and courteous. They have a kitchen of their own and you can tell the cook what you'd like to eat. And the food is pretty awesome. Breathtaking views from the dinner table.
Rooms are spacious with all modern facilities. This property is in the middle of a village and that's what one wants, to escape the city life. So don't expect too many humans. Perfect weekend getaway place I'd say.

The name of the resort is justifiable. It comes on the way from dharamshala to palmpur, after crossing the gopalpur tea garden and zoo. From the main road you have to go 1-2 km inside the village on right hand side. The place is inside a small village of Himachal. The view from the road in front of the resort is comprised of the the cultivation field through which a single road is coming In the backdrop of hill with skies. Typical view of a quiet Himachal village. They have an isolated resort on the other side of the road, opposite to its main building, that again is very close to nature. The only intriguing fact of the room is your talk is clearly audible from the side room. I like the food and ambience a lot

This place was worth the Money. All the staff and care takers are helping. We stayed in a cottage on the other side of the road and it was a wonderful experience.
