We visited in January and what a regret it’s been!

We had booked for December but had to reschedule because of the Farmer’s protest. Mr. Rohit, who was managing our booking kept changing his word - our booking is valid for 6 months, then 1 month. There was no clear communication and No formal email was received as a confirmation that our booking had been rescheduled.

We reached and the maintenance was quite disappointing.
1. The garden area was barren (which is understandable during winter months), but it was dirty and not maintained. It was in a shabby condition.
2. The couch as you enter was broken and could easily hurt someone if not being careful (wood protruding out from it).
3. The linens were dirty and the moment I entered I’d to get it changed. A least minimum you expect during COVID.
4. Nobody in the staff was wearing a mask or taking any precautions and when I asked - “I forgot, haha”.
5. The bathroom is not maintained.
6. No bottled water!
7. The view is not magnificent as it looks in the pictures, it’s surrounded by slums and is dirty!

Bottom line - room is not worth the money they charge. They charge like a 5-star hotel but their rooms and services are far from it.

When we spoke about this to the staff, they spoke to the Delhi office (Ms. Kalpana) and she was absolutely of no help, was extremely unprofessional in the way she spoke to us. She kept repeating the same sentence - it’s not possible, give us another chance. And so we did. They shifted us to another room - Dancing Shadow. Again dirty linens and the staff (apparently the manager) was arguing that it’s clean. We got the room cleaned twice, still nothing. To which Ms Kalpana said, you tell them how you want it. It is not my responsibility as a guest to instruct and supervise your cleaning. There was dust in light lamps, SPIDERS IN THE CUSHIONS on the couch, the couch was dirty and wet. The stairs leading from the room had SO MUCH dirt under them.

The good thing was that the staff tried to make up with food which was disappointing too. The breakfast however tasted good. We finally decided to leave the next morning.

The Delhi office - speaking to the operations team said - spiders and moist walls are a normal thing in the mountains. Well, no, not the first time I’m staying in the mountains. If you’re unable to maintain it, don’t charge almost 9k for a room!

Eventually when we were checking out, unfortunately we left our dyson air wrap on the premises. When we realised we called the staff who were absolutely rude to me and said - “you should have said sooner, I am not sitting here for you. You should have known, I am not going to dream”. This behaviour is APPALLING!

The management’s response to this was - we don’t train them, we hire locals so we can maintain the authenticity. That’s not hospitality.
I do want to appreciate the cooperation at the delhi office for sharing the cctv footage with us and being patient while we went through it.

However, about the booking, they said it’s a non refundable booking, but under what circumstances? Finally, after wasting multiple hours, they only refunded for one night (We had booked for 3 nights, stayed for one night).

Do not waste your time, you definitely don’t deserve the way the management behaves so disrespectfully.
