Snow King Retreat- Best Hotel and Resort in Fagu, Shimla

The location is on top but it is not worthy. Looks very old. Restaurant was not looking good. I was there only for Restaurant but went back after wiered reply from reception.

Excellent hotel.we stays in villa it was awesome experience.food is good n service is superb specially Mr. Ramkishan Negi (House keeping) is very good he is very caring, polite & helpful. Hu is service is very good. Must stay in this hotel (villa).

The stay at Snow King Retreat was mesmerizing for 2 simple reasons. 1st Exotic location you can see entire fagu and huge mountain range in this beautifully made property no need to go anywhere be at Snow King Retreat whole day.
2nd reason is superb staff one of the best. I would like to give special mention to the following folks at the hotel for their flawless hospitality.

Ranjit Bhardwaj room helper thank you for changing the rooms for us and being patient on checking out so many heaters like so many.

Ramlal Sharma for being best waiter like ever with essence to listen

Mahindra at front office sir you are seriously a Rockstar great at explaining things and helping out my son with medicines that too at fagu.

Sunil Sharma GM one of the only few GMs I have met with not show off attitude and thanks for opening rotating restaurant just for us.

I will come again my soul is not satisfied.

Hotel is excellent. Staff is cooperative.

Good location on shimla kufri main road, but a 2km off road which is manageable by car or SUV. Has sufficient parking space for private cars or taxis. Rooms are OK with very quick room service by the staff. Only problem is it lacks proper housekeeping. Rooms are not big or luxurious but somewhat old but cosy rooms. Rooms have small garden or balcony with very beautiful view of the valleys and mountains. One can go on a small trek to a temple some 400 steps just next to the hotel. Or one can just go for a walk near fagu potato farm. Very quiet and relaxing. Food is also very good. Breakfast has good spread of items and cook seems to be very good. All things we ate were delicious and made very well

Excellent resort at Fagu. Sits on top of a beautiful scenic mountain. Close to potato research center fagu farm. The location is simply breathtaking. This place will definitely provide you with the calm required after a cheerful but hectic time at shimla. It's Bollywood cafe dedicated to Raj Kapoor is a must visit. Beautiful architecture and views all around. The cottages especially have a beautiful garden and scenic views. I can just imagine what it would look like when it snows.

Good quite and calm place for relaxing for few days. Good food. Reasonable prices. Ample parking space is available. Courteous staff members.

If you want to spend some time at a peaceful place, definitely visit this resort. Great view with nice food and satisfactory room service.

Beautiful property. Although we went in March but by June it looks more awesome as there are thousands of roses which bloom. Had lunch there.it was fresh and homely food. Enjoyed

Hill Top restaurant to enjoy cup of Tea/Coffee with light snacks in the valley. They do have provisions for stay, good hospitality.

The view and all is good.
Prices are on the higher side.

One of the best resort you could find in a picturesque location specially when its snow season. Very courteous and helpful staff. Food is top notch be it breakfast, dinner or snacks. Spacious rooms. We were 3 families and booked a Villa (Villa-01). Good room space, op n area and the best thing - the view from balcony is breathtaking. I am definitely going to visit again

Very peaceful and absolutely homely atmosphere. Ambience 7 star. Staff is very cooperative and professional.

Very quaint and beautiful resort…. I’m normally used to 5-7 star hotels but somehow landed up here serendipitously. The views were spectacular, the food was better than home and the service was soooo friendly. A rare little gem indeed

Best resort with all types of rooms and cottages. Location, view, scenery, hospitality, mentainence everything is perfect. Vest for nature lovers.

But many times there are issues with basic amenities, however the altitude is a big reason for such issues.

I loved this place very comfy and hospitality was amazing and you can get some rooms with fantastic views.
I would recommend to everyone to definitely visit this place in shogi rather than having a stop in shimla and dont forget to try their In house restaurant which serves amazingly awsome food.
I will definitely want to visit this place on my next india trip.

So far in my life i had the worst expeince in this resort, no electricity, no water, people at reception have no idea.what to do.

The rooms are very untidy and not well maintained.no option for outside food as this hotel is located on a hill top and food items offered by this hotel is too costly.

It's a government resort n price is about 2500 indian rupees per night n rooms are very decent. Location is prime.

Very nice and well maintained property on the top of a hill srrounded jungle and nature food is good but over priced rooms are neat and clean good view from balcony and very nicely maintained garden with beautiful collection of roses, apple trees and other fruits and flower plants

The only good thing about this resort is its location.

Other than that its requires improvement!

*Not even a single drop of water in the Tap from 10 PM till 5: 30 AM.
*Doors were not locking properly.
*Only 2 200 ml of water bottle was provided in the room as drinking water even that was not provided next day. We had to ask specially for water.
*Electric kettle was out of order.
*Heater was there but the power point to plug in was broken.
*Geyser was not working.
*No safe to keep your valuables while you go out.
*They have a common dinner hall and BAR which is extremely uncomfortable for teetottlers.
*Rooms were not cleaned next day nor used cups were picked up.

*Quality of Food is average.

At least I ll not recommend to any one due to poor service

It's really overpriced. Didn't try much and the food was pretty average. The location is the best thing about this place.

Poorest show! Worst behavior by the staff I have faced anywhere. The location is awesome and has beautiful views but the staff is non professional. Never seen such a poor show by the hotel staff. Worst hospitality as per.my colleagues. Food is ok ok, ambience is fine. But the staff makes u regret why u ever came to this property.

Silence is the base of this camp hotel. Best place if finding silence and peace. Compact hotel with lit of amenities but costly compare to near about hotel.

Located at a superb place. The view from this hotel is like breathtaking. Surrounding is also good. It is 22KM away from Shimla. In June and in Winters tourists must visit here, because June and Winters are attraction of point for all. Infrastructure is fantastic. Employees are well mannered and friendly.

Worst resort I have ever seen, no value for money for food and accommodation, poor room service, pathetic experience. Couldn't stay for more than a day.
