Snow Lion Hotel and restaurant

We came here for breakfast. We had the Snow lion special breakfast combo and the American breakfast combo. The fresh apple/orange juice was yummy. The breakfast was light and tasty. The homemade jam was a little on the sweeter side for me. The milk tea was average. The service was quick and the staff was polite. It is one of the very few places that is open for breakfast in the early hours. Thank you for having us, Snow Lion restaurant. We enjoyed our breakfast.

I love this place. Great service, good peaceful ambience and great food. I couldn’t find any good place to eat in Dharamkot so I came here regularly. The prices are also very affordable

Snow Lion is my favorite place is Mcleod. Great food and drinks, with relaxing atmosphere. It's hard to live without their Rum Cake.

Love this place! Came back a second time (which I don't normally do) for the delicious breakfast and the amazing orange juice (which tastes like actual oranges and not that extremely sweet fake orange juice).
Prices are fair and expect to pay around 300-400 for a decent breakfast

Kalsang, the owner is kind, compassionate and super thoughtful. The staff and chefs are brilliant. Snow lion has an ambience and a vibe unlike no other, it’s a place for me that feels like home.

The menu is extensive but all the meals are lovingly prepared with fresh ingredients in a clean environment and everything is made from scratch.

I was thrilled with the overwhelming amount of vegan options from snacks to meals, side dishes to the delicious pancakes. Really quite excellent vegan food!

I can’t recommend this place enough and will eat here time and time again whenever I spend time in this area.

Wonderful place with fantastic ambience and truly lovely and kind owners and staff. The food is delicious and portions are generous. As a vegan I have been able to explore many items on the menu and have had no hassle with substitutions where necessary. Particularly love their thentuk as it’s loaded with veg, as are their amazing spring rolls. They also have an incredible selection of fresh juices and home brewed kombucha. If you’re in need of a western breakfast, Snow Lion has a great selection, including many vegan options (porridges, pancakes, set breakfast). Food is never oily and it’s great to have the option of steamed or lightly cooked veg. Walls lined with interesting books, locals, tourists, good tunes, a huge window which looks out at the temple opposite. It can be hard to leave this place once you’ve snuggled into one of their comfy seats…

Snow lion is a wonderful veg restaurant and cafe! The coffee is some of the best I’ve had in India, and the food is quality. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Had both dinner and breakfast here. Relaxing ambience with qn eclectic selection of books to read if you want to chill for awhile. Food was delicious and a wide selection including western, vegan and traditional tibetan. Jamaican hot chocolate was a highlight. Coffee was as good as any I have had in Australia. Excellent value too. Thank you

A 'cheap' spot for the food that you get! A cheese tomato sandwich with traditional bread. The bread was great as it was one of the few options where you get sourdough bread instead of sweet bread! Served with a nice portion of fries and salad. There is not a lot of ambience in the place. But they do offer books what is plus! And water bottle refillments for only 10 roepies.

I visited here after a day and night with food poisoning, feeling very weak and wanting some simple I ended up with the most delicious breakfast of porridge with honey and banana, coffee spiced turmeric and honey and a smoothie with orange, pineapple and blueberries. All served by nice staff, atmosphere was quiet and pleasant place to relax and enjoy great food prepared with care.
This cosy cafe in McLeod Ganj serves the best Kothay (pan-fried dim sums). The dim sums have a thin covering and the spicy chutney that they serve with it is incredibly delicious.

The place is usually quiet and the service is quick. Drop by for the best Kothay in town.

Had a nice brunch here. Cozy ambience, prices are very reasonable and this is a great spot for backpackers looking for a good meal at a reasonable price. Not the best meal I had in McleoGanj but no complaints whatsoever. Didn’t try the desserts but they looked quite appealing.

Verdict: Cozy place with fantastic prices and good food.

My experiance was horrible. Their garlic pizza was full of cloves of garlic. I don't know wether people eat like this, but i can't.
And they have a sign board stating "Pure Veg" but they have egg menu.

Worthless. Do not go by the reviews. North Indian people like me will not like the food offered here at all. Just avoid at all cost.

Best coffee in town. Great place to have a nice chill time with friends. Love it there. Went nearly everyday for a coffee. Great variety of coffee as well. Recommended to everyone.

Amazing food.amazing Ambience! Right in the heart of Mcleodganj. Only flaw I found was that the service was pretty slow.

Stay away from this place. No AC or fans - gets really hot and stuffy in summer. Flies galore. They are not flexible with their menu - no way to combine stuff they have on the menu - it’s all vegetarian- some stuff is easy to combine guys. Food is mostly bland.

If there's one place i wouldn't want to visit again, this is it.

I visited this place on two separate occasions and both the times THE MANAGER /OWNER was ARROGANT and RUDE!

Their menu said Coffee Heaven.

Even if the offerings are the best in the market but you do not treat your customers right,
you my dear friend have lost the plot.
