I visited manali in the month of November, it's ideal for tourists to go there in this season. Rothang pass was about to close due to change in weather in November, adviced to go before its closes. Solang valley is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions. Paragliding is cheaper here compared to other places.

Solang Valley in India is a paradise for nature lovers. The snow-capped mountains, lush green meadows, and gushing rivers create a picturesque landscape. Another tourist and must visit destination in Manali. This place is famous for various adventurous activities. Many activities like paraglyding (INR 1000 for short fly and INR 3500 for long and high fly are available in HP authorized centre. Book from this place only as you may get various vendors who tell you that you will be offered fly from 8000 ft high etc. And charge you hefty amount from 4 k to 8 k per person), ATV ride (not worth it but can try for own as first time experience), horse ride, zip lining, river crossing etc are available at INR 500 per activity per person or you may get 4 activities for INR 1000 to 1500 for couple depending on the ride and vendor you choose. Snow activities are available from mid Nov to March (usually) depending on snowfall. Winter activities like skiing, tube ride, Sledge etc are available. You ha e few eateries to enjoy food. Here also people come to sell false kesar as in Rohatang LA so BE AWARE. Nice place to click pictures. Min.time spent 2 hrs. You can visit this place after visiting Rohatang pass (if available) via atal tunnel. So you can cover all these 3 destinations in one day. Recommended to leave early in morning during season and weekends. During winters the whole of solang valley will be covered with snow. Restrooms are available.

It was great experience at solang valley their was activity point like buggy jumping snow games and many more and their was lot of stalls which have great food

Solang Valley A Beauty of Gods Invention me and my friends really happy that was our 1st snow experience when we there the season s not started we experience only few snow areas but we enjoyed a lot we played lot and skate a bit there are so many strangers sell Keser (Saffron) in the area I’m not sure that s a pure on or not they use to compell us to purchase the kesar but it’s not that much quality we ate some fried corn n there so delicious must try I need to be there for another time when the full snow falls really liked the place we can take the snow kit boots for rent in the entrance so no need to buy those things it’s really cheap too

Unfortunately can give only 5 star for Solang Valley. Undoubtedly Himachal is the land called Devbhumi and surely it is. A single tour is not enough for the mesmerising land.

Try to go there after mid december not before than mid December as u will not get snow over there

The only place in manali you get right snowfall. If you are planning for less distance trip than manali is ok otherwise nothing compared to Kashmir.be carefull with price you pay there for the activities to do in snow.i. E.zip linning, paragliding, horse riding, and much more.you can bargain. Roads get blocked during peack time.

Great place for both tourists and travellers to visit.

This place looks totally different from November till March. Around this time the place is completely covered in snow and temperature stays between 1-4°C.

These pictures where taken around October, which is slightly off-season. Yet this place did not fail to amaze.

Best place to visit after snowfall in Manali. During snowfall make sure to have 4x4 vehicle else you might get stuck in snow. Will recommend to stay in Manali, just visit solang for a day because sometimes it snows whole night and in the morning you might get a surprise wil total snow road blocks

Solang Valley is famous for the views and for the adventure activities you can do here. You can do Roapway, paragliding and many other such sports which take you to the heights where you can witness the valley in its true glory. The food is really expensive here so pack yourself some food when you're visiting.

Giant slopes of lawn comprise Solang Valley and provide its reputation as a popular ski resort. A few ski agencies offering courses and equipment reside here and operate only during winters.
Snow melts during the summer months starting May and skiing is then replaced by zorbing (a giant ball with room for 2 people which is rolled down a 200 metre hill), paragliding, parachuting and horse riding. A ropeway was recently opened. [1] Going to the summit can be possible by ATVs, Ropeway or Climbing (Trekking)

Situated near to Manali, must be visited solang velley on stay at Kullu or Manali. Ice sports facilities are available here. Ice can be seenduring February to April visit at solang velly

It simply doesn't get more awesome than this. Amazing view! Highly recommended to visit Solang Valley, I suggest at least once in our life we should visit to feel the breathtaking air and wind. So many activities there, wear local traditional dress. Yak ridding, i suggest hire local photographer to capture beautiful view.

Heaven on earth! I fell in love with the place. I still remember the feeling when we first stepped in. It was mesmerising. Breathtaking views of nature. Can’t wait to go again!

Ride towards solang valley is beautiful. Snow clad mountains is a treat to watch. At times it’s crowded but you can get away with it. Route is definitely narrow and keeps you on the edge.
Adventure sports like Short snow bike ride, paragliding etc.is available but don’t know how safe it is and its not worth the money. Just go towards the interior and you will get good photographs. From there you can go to the Rohtang pass/ tunnel also.
Make sure you have a good pair of boots.otherwise you are destined to fall as I have seen many falling down and getting injured.towards the evening the crowd will disappear so does the street food vendors and it will become a deserted place.you can roam around freely and take good photos and enjoy the silence.hats if you can sustain the weather conditions.otherwise its better to get ack to the hotel.

Solang valley is a really beautiful place near manali where you can indulge in snow activities like skiing, yalk ride, ziplining and many more things. You can play in snow there and there are a lot of stalls there which serve Maggie, momos, tea and coffee. The landscapes there are just to die for but it can get crowded at times and you can also get stuck in traffic jam

To visit Solang valley you will need winter clothes which is provided at Rs 250, take it and don't take any adventure pakage from anyone because they will quote it very high than it worth. It better go to Solang valley and then decide and then take the activity separate, which will cost you less. View is great but it's not clean as people throw garbage in snow.

Not too far from Manali Solang Valley is a place where one can enjoy a lot of adventurous activities such as zip lining skiing, snow tube sliding, bungee zumping. Yak ride, atv ride etc. Activities are moderately priced and all safety precautions are taken!

1. Be alert when you stand right below any height, any avalanche can occur anytime.
2. You can try your full bargaining skills here.

It was really really great. But you should visit in January if you want to be in snow even more. And if you want to enjoy natural beauty then you should come in June July time. For skiing (if you are on budget) it's my humble advice that it's not worth a penny. You will regret this forever. Instead of skiing you can try trekking (trekking is nothing but buying a dress and exploring the mountains on your own) there. It's really very nice to Trek. And the best part about it is that it is completely free. You only need to pay for snow dress (dangri). It is the most excited thing that we did on the whole trip. If you are an adventure seeker than you really should opt for this. And thank me later.

If you are in Manali then Solang valley is a must visit place, it is good only when snow is present and also go early because the roads are narrow so traffic jams always present!

A tourist place where they can spend time on different activities like horse riding, jet skiing, zipline.

Must visit for a snow break. The traffic may be longing during peak hours but an early visit may give you an amazing experience of untouched snow and divine view of the valley. Various sports like snow skiing, paragliding, etc are available for options here. Do visit if you are anywhere near Manali.

Solang valley is beautiful place near Manali. Only 12 km from Manali. This place is very cold and it remains ice covered for arround 5 months a year. You can walk for Anjani Mahadev arround (1.5 km walk). This walk freshen up you. This place is surrounded by ice covered monutains. One must include this place in the list if he/ she planning to visit Manali.you need to wear warm clothes always. Don't forget to waer gum boots.

It is a very awsome place to visit with family. There is a bus service but the recommendation is to bring own car. U can rent 1 down or can a book a cab. There is a cable cart or 1.2km @₹650 per pwrson. Paragliding @₹1000-₹3200
Snow scooters, atv, zorbing. And natural beuty in month of december to march u can experience snow and somtimes even snow fall. Its a good place to visit and leavenving cable cart ride makes the trip incomplete.
