Over priced, rooms very poor and look old. Worst hospitality, rude staff, no courtesy and food is also average. False commitment from the staff. Overall bad experience. Not worth atall. Really overrated. Please don't waste your time and money here.
Horrible, everything horrible, stinking room, rats in the room, no quilt until 1am, given stinking soiled quilt.flush not working. I'd request the owner to contact please!
Please do read the critical reviews, it seems like this property is being run by Thugs and Illiterates, Please save your money and do not go tothis hotel, this property is not being run to service guests but most likely as a money laundering front, once you learn who owns it, you will know what I mean.
It may be termed the “best” in Manali due to the entertainment of a few celebrities in the past years; however it does not match up to the expected standard at all! Poor hospitality and false promises with regard to service and basic resources. Overpriced and overall a very unsatisfactory experience
Property location is good. But NOT upto mark rooms. Don’t get Influenced by Internet Pictures. Hotel Front Desk has no Proper training to communicate with guest.
First of all resort property is in very beautiful location but but but… They are not maintaining it properly… Rooms were not clean even linen were not clean and smelling very badly… They served well come drink in our room and no one came to pick glasses even till next day… They lost my identity card … Food was extremely average … even I got hard plastic piece about 2 inches in my alu paratha…Even in breakfast I got total KACHA uttapam… even outside tables were not clean… They were messy with plates and glasses… THEY ARE TAKING SERIVICE CHARGES FOR FOOD PACKETS IN OUR ROOM … One Haldiram’s salted peanut cost 10 rs but they are taking 50 rs! Seriously 40 rs service charge!
ONE MOST IMPORTANT THING At the time of check out I was in my room with my daughters and 2 staff person sudden came without knock to check room and food packets … That was seriously worst…
I am not suggesting this property at all…25000 per night is total waste of money for this property…
Dear management, I am stunned at the way you treat the locals here who want to come for lunch or dinner! At entrance we were asked several questions, which felt like as if we were entering some govt officials house. Then we were asked to pay at security for the “wonderful “ food awaiting us. So one has to pay at the entrance without even seeing the place, the ambience and most importantly the menu! I am pretty shocked as the place is quite old and recruits people who doesnt know what they are saying! I have recommended your place to our family and friends in the past however after this incident I am gonna make some buzz around
This was our first stop on the trip to Lahaul.its a beautiful property.really scienic.located on river side, with access to river.food ia amazing and staff is really courteous.open gardens, rooms with open balcony and river/mountain view is breathtaking.
It got us around more than 2 hours to check in p as the rooms they alloted to us were not as per description. Inspite of booking garden view rooms, the rooms they were alloting us were almost like without garden view. This took a whole circle of 2 hours arguements with the reception manager giving improper excuses. Finally after 2 hours we talked to GM and they adjusted the rooms. The whole check in procedure was a big disappointment. Also, the taste of food was not at all good and the staff at restaurant was very lazy. Only the F&B manager was good at behaviour and took good care of customers suggestions. The resort is not worthy as per the hefty tariff they charge
Location is the only plus, right beside the river. Food is pretty average, bordering on poor for this class of restaurant. Service is also unprofessional.
Property is good, hardly anything to complain but the staff is terrible. There was construction going on right next to our Hut. As soon as I entered my room, I could hear metal grinder and power saw. I looked outside and construction of another hut was going on. I called the front desk and I was totally shocked to hear the response. The lady said that the construction will stop at 6 PM. I told her that this is totally unacceptable to which she agreed to talk to her manager but after a few minutes called back to give the same pathetic response that the Noises will stop at 6. I have stayed in Neeralaya several times in past and had excellent experience every single time. This was my first and last stay in this resort. I would never recommend anyone to stay here if you value good hospitality and not just a good Property.
Dear Span Resort Team, It was too good staying in your property with too good hospitality and services, it was very relaxing stay while need improvement in Breakfast time spread and Taste of Food your total property is flawless while this just food taste improvement is required. Special appreciation for the entire staff from front desk to restaurant staff & housekeeping well behaved, soft spoken & courteous.
The resort is fabulous. Very nice lawns. Excellent views. Good service too. The food was really not great. We ordered Chinese and it was not good. The noodles were so saucy and the food was over flavored. Didn't seem like a meal from a good restaurant. Very dhaba style Chinese.
Not visited inside the hotel. But, main gate looks clean environment can be found inside. People say it belongs to zMr. Kamalnath ji a senior position of INC. If so it will be surely better
Pros: 1) Great location and lovely ambience. You can literally sit next to Beas river with your feet in the flowing water 2) Friendly and warm staff 3) Lots and lots of open spaces in the property 4) Very clean and well maintained
Cons: 1) The food was disappointing. We loved the overall stay but for the food. It didn’t taste bad, but none of what we ordered, including the breakfast, in the 2 days was tasty/delicious. Food there is the very definition of average 2) Rooms were average, not very spacious. Not bad really, but barely met expectations. We were sitting out on porch/garden or strolling in the property most of the time, so didn’t care that much
Beautiful riverside propery with great view and lush green lawns.food was delicious…but the room size was extremely small.overall great stay at span resort
The best possible location Extremely helpful and friendly staff Restaurant manager willing to go the extra inch to please you so is the property manager great travel desk All in all the best possible place to stay in Manali
Went there on 1st July, initially there was a miscommunication about our rooms but the management settled the issue without much fuss. Amazing gardens and open spaces, excellent food and room was also very nice. The service was excellent especially Mr ashok was really courteous and helpful.would love to come back
I’ve just visited the resort and the staff’s attitude was so rude and pathetic. As per my conversation with the sales team on the reception, we want to visit the resort regarding the room booking for 2 days but the staff on the entry gate didn’t let us enter in the premises and talked with us in the inappropriate manner.
As per the ratings, this property has poor service. We booked residential suits and the kind of service provided was below standards. No variety in breakfast buffet. One can get much better properties near by actually at lower price. Gardens were poorly maintained. Even the managers were least bothered about the service guests are getting. If you are spending so much money and thinking u will get luxury service then in that case please think again.
Pathetic service Staff is not at all cooperative.no one picks the phone.even if you try 10 times.rooms are not good Its not worth.we are staying in elite class room.paying 20000 per night. But service is poor. Don’t get fooled by pictures online. Never book this property
Always the perfect spot in Manali to unwind and relax. It was my third time here and the place is unmatched. Everything from the rooms to the serene surroundings will put you in relax mode.
Span Resort one of the most popular and top resort in Manali. It is located just 15 km behind main Manali. The biggest speciality of this resort is that it is situated on the banks of river Beas, which enhances its beauty. Most of the people like to come here in autumn and spring. As far as I remember, there are two restaurants, a international bar, one swimming pool and a spa available. All the staff here is very nice, supporting, helpful and friendly, because almost all the staff here is local. Almost all the movie stars prefer to stay here when they come to Manali or the nearby places of Manali for shooting and don't know how many scenes of films have been filmed here. Actually during the management training of winter vacation, I've also been a part of the resort for a few days as a staff member, so it was a great moment of my life, these days I got to learn a lot about here, their management, their people and about their culture and many more. If I get a chance in life again, I would definitely go to Span Resort once. If you are ever visiting Manali then definitely stay at the Span resort once and get a great experience.
Oh COME On we're talking about the best restaurant in the whole Himachal Pradesh, NO doubtly this is the best Over all the Hotels & restaurants in the Manali & himachal, they've the mind blowing and OutStanding Facilities, they are the best in every way, They've a very Caring & good staff, I loved this in every way, the words are very less to describe about this?
Best Resort In Manali Loving Staff Feels Like Home Tasty Food Located in A very Beautiful place River Crossings Big Lawn Nice Cottages Would Highly recommend
Wonderful location and top most the hospitality and the staff is too good. I would like to thanks each and everyone to make our trip such an awesome and memorable one.
I chose Span resort after doing a bit of background research and that research includes talking to other resorts too e.g Manuallaya etc. I preferred Span over anyother resort or hotel keeping in mind if the whether goes bad in Manali than we still have lot to do inside the resort itself. In case of hotel you will feel caged during bad whether and in fact it did happen with us but on the resort itself there is so much to do.
1. View: Elite room door opens out to lush green garden, where you can hear sound of Beas river while sitting in front of room, and the river itself is 20-25 steps away from room and it is actually inside resort. I believe apart from Span no other resort can claim such a view and experience of Beas river. If there is snow (which were there in our case) you can also see snow clad mountains. All elite rooms are on ground floor and river facing.
2. Rooms: Elite rooms are very nice, very cosy and equipped with all amenities. Hot/cold water, for winter one room heater and temperature moderator, AC, mini bar, tv with all HD channels, DVD player where you can get all DVDs of English and Hindi movies from reception, blower, very comfortable bedding and sofa and also one study table with chair. The room open towards river side where there are again chairs and leg rest and one table been kept there so that you can enjoy your breakfast while listening to fast flowing river.
3. Room service: Extremely professional, courteous with no exception special mention to Adarsh, Harnaam ji, Negi (i hv prblm with first name: P). They can actually tailor made the things for you.
4. Housekeeping: Again very good and a special sense of belonging exist among them, although i forgot to ask the name of two ladies who used to do cleaning and arranging the bed and other stuff but they are extremely good. I can quote one incident, second day of our honeymoon there was heavy-snow fall in Solang and we were there for almost 4-5 hrs enjoying the snow. While returning we were feeling too much cold, but to our great surprise the housekeeping staff left heater and temperature moderator running at a very ambient temperature after cleaning the room, so the moment we entered the room its was just like wow! Moment for me and my wife. I been to several other hotels but this gesture actually touched me.
5. Food: well well no trip is complete without great food especially when both of us are damn foodie. Food is excellent, since it was off season, so buffet was not there but still the chefs can prepare food whatever is there on the menu and menu too is very extensive. The taste was very good and infact so good that some of the best rated restaurants of mall road in Manali was not even near to that. For e.g Chopstick on manali is considered very good in terms of chinese but our resort chinese food was far better in taste and quality. Since me and my wife were both vegetarians (eggtarians) we have not tried their non-veg items but considering the taste and quality of veg food we are very sure that same goes with non-veg food too. Chefs are on resort permanent payroll so you can expect same standard every time you eat. Infact we also took our lunch also in resort since we didn't find any other place in manali which can match the taste of food here.
6. Resort: Very lush green, 13km before manali, therefore far from hustle and bustle of traffic. Very nicely maintained and well taken care off. Have lots of outdoor and indoor activities. Billiards, snooker, tennis, badminton, chess, some adventure sport too, cycling, jogging track, children park, swimming pool, although a heated swimming pool is missing from resort, which they should include too. Lots of river side rest chairs. Very good Spa, Gym and a very good bar having a collection which is more than 60year old.
Posh hotel nice place but heart less peoples they have don't chauffeur and servent rooms.if any one cme frm delhi or any long route they give yukk dirty rooms for driver or servants complaining
Pathetic food, untrained, un welcoming and conceited staff, owners need to find some time and creative effort to salvage this great old hotel from going downhill. Its sad since the location and setting is fantastic. Wake up please
Lovely place for nature praiser, on the bank of Beas river, on the bank of Beas river, cottages surrounded by greenary, pleasant and co-operative staff, parking space, clean rooms Cons: - Checkout timings are 10am Buffet is tasty but only few dishes are there for vegetarians
The span resort is one of the best resort in manali laying next to beas river. Resort hospitality is excellent including all staff & managers especially the food manager Mr. RAJ KIRAN was outstanding & very helpful for anything we need at resort buffet area. I will suggest to all my friends if u plan to visit manali just go ahead for this luxurious resort.span the name defines everything.
This wonderful resort with best food, situated on the bank of Vyas river, surrounded by mountains with ample of big gardens with well dressed with flowers plants and trees i.e. Everywhere, nice place to stay.
I'm visiting here after a super long time, here with my family and we were staying in rooms 117,118,119. This is a super long review but I'm short of words to express the gratitude in return for the service the employees of this property have provided me and my family!
The property is THE BEST PROPERTY in the ENTIRE KULLU DISTRICT, I don't think I'll be able to go anywhere else for a family vacation. The only thing is that the rooms were a little over-priced, that maybe due to the ongoing season. We took the option of having the dinner-buffet in the restaurant. The food here is LITERALLY AMAZING! I would really like to give a special mention to the chef Mr. ROHIT and Mr. Nihal Thakur for making well-presented, delicious food along with their team! Another very very special mention I would like to give, is to Mr. RAJ KIRAN, the manager of food. He is such a wonderful person, extremely good at hospitality and great with dealing with customers.
The food that was made her was different EACH DAY! Different buffet for breakfast and dinner each day, with live egg counters and fresh juices in the breakfast and live counters for different dishes, 1 of veg and non-veg each for dinner. The other staff I would like to give a special thanks and mention is Mr. Ashok, Mr. Harnaam for their EXCEPTIONAL COURTESY AND SERVICE. The cold coffee that Mr. Harnaam makes is DELICIOUS! HAHAHA We really appreciate the staff here in the hotel, specially the dining staff, be it the for the breakfast or the dinner.
This property offers exceptional views of the river Beas, that flows RIGHT NEXT to the boundaries of the property. The property is covered with lush green grass and has all the amenities a 5star resort- Hotel would have. There is a spa, managed by "L'occitane" whis is great! There is a small outdoor-pool, a well-equipped gym and spa. There are other activities available like chess, pool, carrom, table-tennis, lawn tennis etc.
Some other facilities - there is a provision FOR DRIVERS who accompany you near the hotel, which the hotel provides accommodation for. This is a SUPER IMPORTANT ADDITION I must say, and I really appreciate this, because a LOT of properties don't provide this for the drivers and the customers (US) have to pay for their accommodation.
The housekeeping staff was also SUPERB! Specially JOGDHYAN ji! Great, hospitable person!
I would HIGHLY recommend this property to whoever wants a luxurious stay with GREAT hospitality!
We went here on recommendations of the Manager of another resort we stayed at in Manali, since we were looking for a Riverside area or waterfront in Manali, so that we could spend sometime and take memories and pictures with us and this place did not disappoint us. They charged us a modest Rs 250 per person to enter the facility as non resident guests, which they redeemed on snacks that we had at their Restaurant, which was fair enough, keeps unwanted people trespassing and spooling the property. We spent about an hour over there on our way back from Manali and were glad we did, and we really enjoyed every moment spent there. Must visit!
