Top notch seamless experience on my tour. We traveled as a family between Jun 24 - Jul 2. Right from the pick up till drop 9 days later, we were in very good hands. We had a very genial and accommodating driver (Mr. Munish) who ensured our travel was smooth and comfortable. The stay in every place was great and we had no complaints whatsoever. Mr. Mukesh helped plan the whole thing and Mr. Munish ensured we had a great time. Thankfully, weather was kind to us during our tour - but they do prepare for bad weather and unexpected road closures too. Some times, things are out of control even for them - its better for us tourists to trust them being locals and co-operate.

Overall, I'd highly recommend anyone looking to travel to Spiti valley to use their services and you won't be disappointed!

Four of us decided to do a reunion in spiti valley and we were in for a ride of a lifetime. Beautiful landscapes which change every day was an amazing experience. The tour organisation was flawless. The car and the driver were allotted to us a week prior and the journey started on time. All stay arrangements were fantastic and we loved every bit of it. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family and would love to travel again with you in near future.

If someone wants to explore Spiti.especially its wildlife.i must say.this is the best option.

We had a 9 day long snow leopard expedition arranged by Spiti Valley tours on the last week of January, 2023. Mr Mukesh and Mr Lara did an exemplary job of arranging everything, starting from our pick up from Chandigarh airport to arranging excellent stays on the way, and taking care of each and every needs of our group. The accommodations arranged at Rampur Bushahr, Kaza and Kibber were excellent. Despite the limitations at Kibber, they provided us with warmth and affection. They do have an excellent tracking system for spotting snow leopards and other wildlife of Spiti. They did everything possible for making us feel comfortable at that difficult terrain. Our chauffeur, Mr Pramod was also a well mannered and experienced driver who handled the snow/black ice covered roads with ease.

Would definitely recommend Spiti valley tours for any sort of expeditions at Spiti, whether it be wildlife oriented or otherwise.

Poor experience, nowhere near to the claimed promise of once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Hotel booking was botched up at Kaza.
Drivers were poorly disciplined and nowhere near the guiding standard they were supposed to give us.
All in all, avoid booking with them, especially if you have family travelling with you.

I should’ve written this review earlier in Aug, but I guess better late than never. Big thanks to Lara and Mukesh! We were a very difficult couple and requested to change the itineraries from time to time during the trip (one day we wanna hunt for fossils ourselves, the other day we wanna go see people riding horses, another day we want to go to places with landslides), and they really tried their best to adjust according to what we’ve asked. The trip wouldn’t be this wonderful without them and we will definitely go back one day for another adventure!

We have just returned from a 12 day trip to Spiti and we had the absolute best time.

Mukesh from Spiti Valley Tours was prompt and responsive from the first email we sent and all arrangements made for travel and accommodation were top-notch. Special mention to Shavnam who is an extremely skilled driver and wonderfully patient on some very difficult terrain.

We also got the opportunity to experience the warm and generous Spitian hospitality at Lara's homestay in Langza which was an unforgettable experience.

Was a truly memorable experience. A 10 day road trip with my mother. Was entirely planned by Mukesh - itinerary was very comprehensive and covered more than I had thought I could see. Days were very well planned, challenging but not overly exhausting.
Boarding was excellent in all places and so was the food (except the first night). Lara’s Homestay was a wonderful experience.
Mukesh and Lara were very responsive and always available with all the required information. Would definitely recommend this trip with Spiti Valley Tours for the experience and the hospitality.

Spiti Valley tour operator based on KAZA is good operator with well arranged itinerary. They booked very good and reputed hotels in all places and also they arranged vehicles as per our convenience. Amount is also reasonable. They even arranged Oxygen cylinder for us in Langza but without cylinder opening key (may be forget to send). Luckily we don't need it.
But this operator is not one of the best operator. Just average person books the vehicle and hotels as per schedule & takes the payment. That's all his duty completes. They will not contact you during the tour and ask for any difficulties faced by us. Once because of problem with vehicle driver due to missing of few places like Hatu mata mandir, etc, I tried to contact them but not lifting the phone! Even though their office is there in Kaza, nobody tried to meet me. One person met me when I am leaving Kaza for collecting final payment and wasted my time in the morning.
Their vehicle driver Jagdish Takur is some what different type of person. He won't give proper information and sometimes he will get angry if we asks for information. If I asks the information with locals then also he will get angry. My suggestion is that in future try to avoid this driver.
But anyhow we can go by this operator compared to other operators who they are sitting in metro cities and takes commission by giving contract to some local agents.

We booked the full kufri-kaza-chandrataal-manali circuit from Spiti Valley Tours.

From designing the itinerary, stay arrangements, transportation and food all were top notch.

The hospitality throughout was outstanding. Special mention for Anil ji (Kalpa) and Daleepji (sangla).

The icing on cake was stay at Deyzor (kaza). The best stay we have ever had!

Lara ji is a very well known and highly respected name in this region.

As the manager at chandratal camps (parasol) roughly said. Laraji is snow leopard of Spiti

An amazing and unforgettable trip we had during our Spiti Valley tour. The location, the weather, the facilities, the hotels and the food all were par excellence I can say.

We had a chance to visit lots of historical places and to see a mummy as well which was preserved since ages.

The local people are friendly too with tourist.

A very meticulously curated itenerary day wise for 11 days which includes hotels/homestays and sightseeing. The accommodations at all places were comfortable with delicious meals.

Julley Spiti Recently I have visited Spiti Valley with my wife. I was not that confident to do this trip because of many reason Covid, Monsoon. But Lara ji from Spiti Valley Tour took all the responsibility for a successful and lifetime trip for we two ️. His hospitality is right at highest level. Lahaul Spiti tourism attracts thousands of people every year towards its fascinating beauty and unadulterated environment. Spiti is bordered in the northern side by Ladakh, Tibet in the East, Kinnaur in the South-East and Kullu valley in the North.

I am a wildlife photographer and I recently did a snow leopard trip with Spiti valley tours.
Right from the beginning they answered all questions and queries that I sent by emails. They always replied to me promptly which made the business of organising the trip easier.
One of the reasons I went with this company is that it is locally owned and operated, so the whole community benefits. The other reason is that there is a greater depth of local knowledge, which payed off dividends for me.
My accomodation in Kibber was first class. I stayed at a beautiful home stay with a charming family.
Every day I stayed at Kibber there was a snow leopard sighting. Lara’s spotters would radio in when they sighted one, I was quickly picked up taken to the scene and the porters would carry and set up my photography equipment. If the sighting lasted all day Lara make sure I had hot food and drinks brought to me all day. This was fantastic as it was very cold and it made it a lot easier and comfortable to photograph.
All in all I only have good things to say about this company for besides providing a great service they are also very competitively priced

My wife and I have just completed (February 2020) a 21 day snow leopard trip with Spiti Valley tours. I choose this company for the following reasons
1 They are a local company so they have better local knowledge, you are dealing directly with the owner and the money you spend is going directly back into the community
2 Right from the beginning they were prompt in replying to my emails, nothing was a problem and every question was answered.
3 They are more competitively priced, because there is no middle man.
My wife and I had the best adventure ever with Lara and his crew. In the first 7 days of the trip we saw 7 different snow leopards. Ive been to Hemmis National park in Leh in 2017 and Kibber is far superior as you are a lot closer to the snow leopard.
Every time a snow leopard was spotted (pardon the pun) Lara had his men set us up in the best position to photograph the snow leopard, and 9 out of 10 times we were the first people on the spot.
The homestay that was organised for us was great, clean, tidy, great food and a lovely family. We were really sad ️ to leave when we left.
Lara always went that extra mile, when he found out it was my birthday he got the host of the homestay to cook me a birthday cake and we had a bit of a party. I can tell you I wasn’t far off from tears, I felt so special.

The valley is unique in it's own way. If usa has the grand canyons we have spiti valley.the deep gorges the eroded mountains, the stoney roads make this valley more beautiful than ever.if you like to see mountains in a different way spiti valley is the place.

As i had an experience of ladakh tour also, so thats why i used to compare both the terrain but both have different and best experience.
Problem is with No network in phone. I stayed 3 days without network
The drivers of HIMACHAL PRADESH vehicles are driving very recklessly
Some where road are bad almost 30% but in under construction

Spiti valley is absolutely beautiful.people are soo kind and Helpling. Food in local small resto were awesomeee. Drive was mesmerizing. Road ia not perfect but its manageable and thats what increases the thrill of road trip. We have 10days trip to spiti valley and iwe loved it.

Spiti valley of Himachal is a heaven on earth. Very adventurous road trip which includes dirt roads, steep mountain climbs and most picturesque backgrounds of upper Himalaya belt. Very challenging weather conditions but out of the word experience.

Having done Pin Bhaba and Bara Bangal treks with them, it's impossible for me to look for other operators in the area. The trekking team is very knowledgeable, have genuine concern for the needs for the trekkers, and are super friendly. The food is amazing and there's always enough food (our group had large eaters). The camping equipment has never been found to be wanting. The trek itineraries are planned considering the different fitness levels and acclimatization needs. Our transportation needs as well were taken care of, and homestay/hotel arrangements for before and after the trek were managed by them.

Spiti valley kaza is must visit place in every traveller list.just a heavenly feels and touch. Sky colour is so different. Every walk n drive has mesmerising view. What eye can capture, is difficult to capture thru camera.
The grandiosity of the mountains, the serenity in the pastures - all call for a visit and respect. I really liked this place because it was inaccessible by regular noisy, place-dirtying, locals-scaring tourists - though you can go for jeep tours instead of trekking from village to village. This is one of the most wonderful and peaceful hill station in India. The best time to visit spiti is on June- August.

PLEASE NOTE! Please clarify in the beginning which package they are offering you: standard, deluxe or luxury and its important to check the hotels you are getting booked in for before you travel cause there are better options available. Please do your own proper research! The quality of standard hotels offered by them in popular places such as Narkanda, Sarahan and Sangla was really substandard. Due to the this we had to change 3 of our stays end moment. Although the rest of our journey was really good right from driver, car and other hotels they had picked for us. Overall they have the best knowledge about the area but you need to be aware of what you getting booked in for.

We did motorcycle adventure Ride to Spiti valley in September 2015 with 4 solo riders, and in 2017 three solo riders to chandratal lake. High altitude first time I got headache in the morning after eating sand wich in the breakfast. It might be for reason I did not sleep whole night and sit near bon fire of log of wood, because my rider fellows were inside the 2 person tent we carried. Hotels and dhabas for food were at 4-5 hours distances. The only fuel stations are in Manali, Kaza and Recong Peo. So we carry extra 5 litters odlf fuel with each bike with luggage.

You'll definitely fall in love with this place. This place shows us the beauty hold by the nature, the desert mountains, world highest restaurant, Asia's highest bridge, the wonderful chandra taal lake and many more places to explore. And one more thing if you were hoping for a soothing drive to this place then let me warn you it's not that kinda drive you might gonna take approximately 12hrs for 230 kms approximately from Manali. You just can't define the beauty of this place you gotta experience it

Lara is the treasure trove of Spiti Valley area and being local has the best of places and people to take care of you while you are there. I have been to Spiti so many times and each time, Lara made sure that I have the most comfortable stay and experience the Himalayas to the core!
He and his team made sure that, our winter expedition of Snow Leopard is well taken care of and we have a successful outing each time we stepped out of the comforts of the homestays.
For Spiti, you should look no further than Lara and his team!

If you want to visit Spiti & Lahaul valley at any point of the year, when every other operator says no. Then they are the people who can make it happen. They arranged a tour for my group in the month of November, even when the temperature was -23℃, they made it happen in the most cozy places you would ever imagine. They even helped us in the middle of the night when our car broke down when there was no one within the radius of 7kms. They send us help. All thanks to Mukesh & Lara.

Spiti and kinnaur are indeed exceptionally beautiful there's no doubt about that. However, there are things i felt which if present would have made my trip even more beautiful.
1. Snow chains are a must. Especially when your cars are 2wd. Whats the point in scheduling a two day stay in langza (4300m) in winter when there are all chances of being snowed in. The driver was dead scared of being snowed in as he knew he didnt have any way to tackle a bad situation. We lost one langza day and we are highly disappointed.

2.preparedness: very few hotels were we stayed were actually prepared for hosting us. Royal castle sangla and mahabaudha homestay in kaza were the most unprepared. Rest were good. Mahabaudha in particular left us with ugly memories with regards to basic cleanliness.

3.driver: must be more interactive in sharing local knowledge as he also acts as a guide.

Not demanding any luxuries as we know winter is tough on spiti.but Considering that we paid 8k per day these basics aspects should have been dealt with better. Good luck to spiti valley tours. And thank you for the trip.
