Beyond 5 stars! I stayed many times at this wonderful place. Everything exceeds the imagination of living in mountainous area. On top they have the most wonderful staff and, extremely kind and helpful with every wish along the best owner Ishu bhai. It is budget friendly. This is indeed a place you do not want to leave, and when you do it is with one hope.

Cleanliness 100%, Behaviour of staff very polite, Food very good, service very good, most important location excellent as you can go to kufri, mall, or any of the tourist place, and most importantly situated at the centre of shimla, and the guy "Ishu"who owns the property, a well behaved guy with skill of trekking and mountaineering, so one can get a guidence for any of adventure, oveall excellent place to stay in the land of pine forests

Stonewood Bed and Breakfast was perfect for our family of 4, with 2 young kids. We stayed with them for 3 days and the stay was nothing short of home.
Right from checking with us on the day we arrived to ensure safety (given Shimla was raining) and the hills are not easy to drive through, to the clean rooms, sufficient bedding, hot water in the bathroom and fantastic food, the stay was all we looked forward to.
Special mention to Ballu bhai who is just always there!

Totally homely vibes & a beautiful sitting area on terrace where u can enjoy the beautiful Shimla view. Staff is very helpful and sweet.
And hardly 5-7 mins distance from Mall Road if u have your own vehicle. Otherwise u can take local bus as well.

I stayed there with my 5 freinds.this place is very underrated. The actual beauty you get to know when you stay here and experience. This was such a seamless experience. I wasn't expecting much, out to be completely opposite. The most important thing is that caretaker at the property is so humble, so soft-spoken and any time you knock his door. He is available for every thing he will guide you. He will tell you other details any time you say ask anything He is very humble and he's available for all the services.

The top floor attick as such a cosy and beautiful place that you feel such a relaxed in that cute area.having a morning tea, there with a beautiful view and soothing

The most neat and clean hotel I have ever visited.rooms were large with great interior as well as the washrooms were also clean and was having hot water facility also.
Moreover the owner and staff of the hotel was very friendly and cooperative. Guided us well about nearby places and to visit.

People are very hospitable at stonewood. They treat you like a family. Also the best option for solo travelers because it provides you the safe environment. Must visit stonewood homestay. Highly recommended

One of the best hospitality ever received. Lovely rooms with beautiful forest view, and extremely polite staff. The most lovely part is the attic, a perfect place to relax and experience the beauty of Shimla specially at night. The owner personally visited and made sure that every need is met.

One of the best homestay in Shimla. Very neat and clean rooms. The open room at the top is mind blowing. You get to view the entire shimla from there. Best experience living there. Would visit again.

It was amazing, in fact the best stay. Being a Himachali, I cringe for peace in mountains. This place is so pretty, rooms being so cozy and cute. The scenic view just captures the heart. The services are just wonderful. You get totally homely vibes over there. The washrooms are spacious and well maintained. It has hot water 24*7. The beds are so comfortable. The terrace is yet another thing that adds up to this place’s beauty. I just loved the stay and I would recommend this place to others as well. THIS PLACE IS A MUST VISIT AND STAY PLACE IN SHIMLA.

It was an Excellent decision to stay in stonewood. It's an amazing place. The staff is very polite. This place feels like home. Whenever I come again, I'll choose to stay here only. Loved the place and the gesture?

Very posh rooms and clean toilets. The room location is also nice. Close to the pine woods and reachable by line bus (10 rupees) or taxi (300 rupees) from the city. The staff is very helpful. Care taker Mr. Balveer was very helpful. They were helpful with travel plans and arranging taxi etc.
