Tara House Homestay

This is a lovely place with a great view, the rooms are nice and clean and the staff are very pleasant. We had a great time staying here, everyone were so nice and the food in the restaurant at the place was delicious. Would stay there again! Great atmosphere and good mood (good Mud)

We stayed here for one night on 24th June, this year. It was a nice experience staying here. Got very nice view of the entire valley from the room itself. Food was very nice. Very cordial behaviour of Kunsangji. Overall experience is very good.

A jewel in the Greater Himalaya, Mud has been the best place of my Spiti trip. I stayed 2 nights at the property. Yes there was a shortage of electricity, but it was understable keeping in mind the remote location. Kamlesh had been a great host. Stargazing was the best part of the stay. Both from the cafe roof and from the room it was a clear view. If I may, I will go back to this place again and spend a week.

Overall, our stay at Tara Homestay was good.

Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty and away from city hustle, it provided a tranquil oasis of serenity. The absence of telephone network allowed for a complete escape.

The food was satiating considering the limitation of resources.

The only improvement area is on the cleanliness of the rooms. If that can be sorted, the stay would have been more pleasant.

My wishlist to visit Pin Valley was fulfilled during SPITIfied when I visited Mudh Village. Mudh village is one of the remotest village of Pin Valley. Having a population of around 150-200 people. It's the starting or ending point of the famous Pin-Bhaba or Pin-Parvati trek. There's a trail that will take you to the Pin river down below the village. You can either ask the local but I figured out the trail myself one early morning. This is one of most picturesque village I have ever seen in my life Someday I will definitely go back to this village.

Loved it! Pin Valley night stay was the highlight of our Spiti Trip, and stay at Tara made it even better. We got the 1st floor room which is at road level and the room has unhindered view of the mountains. Good food, secret rooms and bathroom. Food service was a bit slow, but, we did t mind as we had ample time in hand!

Very remote location, but you will get all the basic amenities. Food is good and rooms are also good at this remote village.

Rooms are having awesome view.and beautiful valley view rooms. I had gone there in mid May and i got snow very near to our rooms. The roads going to Mudh is difficult.one of the best village in Spiti.no network is there so be prepare for it.

Mud is the last village in Pin Valley, located approx 50 km away from Kaza. To reach here we took a road that branches off from the main highway at Attargo Bridge. The road is rugged, passing through rough terrain, rocky mountains and flowing streams. This place is the starting and ending point for the popular Pin-Bhaba or Pin-Parvati trek. One of the well-known accommodations in Mudh is Tara Home Stay. We had a quick lunch there and the food was excellent, although the service was a bit slow. The home stay has a traditional Spitian roof and the walls are adorned with colorful local paintings. Moreover, the view from there is truly mesmerizing and unforgettable.

The place being very remote in the pin valley is usually by people who trek from Manali and end here to rest. The home stay is basic and has a decent washroom for the kind of remoteness it has. They do not have room heaters given in early summer so sub zero temperatures will keep you warm.

The bed was and they offered us tea and coffee options along with dinner and breakfast options.

Do not expect any network in pin valley of any telecom service provider at the moment. However jio might soon be available here

Good home stay with best available facilities in the farest village in that area.
A must try place for pizza in local recipie.

In terms of location, rooms I would highly recommend this place. But, in terms of Hospitality my experience was not that good.

Probably one of the very few hotels in Mudh that serves chicken. We had cravings for chicken after the Pin Bhabha pass trek and this restaurant didn't disappoint.
The seating arrangement inside is very nice, warm and cozy. You can also sit on the terrace for the view.
The food menu is varied and all the items are tasty.

The best homestay / Guest house facility in Mudh, Pin Valley. The facility is managed by Mr Tara and his family members.

Rooms: Rooms are good; They have just 2 rooms with attached bathrooms; for other rooms they have one bathroom common to be shared between two rooms

Food: Overall Good, Freshly cooked home made.

A very good cafe in a small village of Mud, which is the base camp for pin valley and pin baba treks, serves some amazing food, particularly the local made veg Pizza which is just superb.

Stayed here for a week two years ago. Can't thank them enough for their kind hospitality, which went way beyond getting value for money.

The weather and altitude was too much for me, fell really sick. Can't imagine what would have happened if not for Mr. Tara's family. Needed to escape so far from everywhere to find real humanity.

People in pin valley are the happy souls. Do sit with them and share experiences. Also Food is amazing here. Do try rajma chawal.

Located in a serene village of Mudh 5 this place is a gem. One of the oldest homestays in the village, it offers clean hygienic and well equipped rooms. And the food is just exceptional, do not miss out on their local pizza made up of local bread. The hospitality is A1 and the owner, Mr. Tara personally takes cares of his guests and make sure that the stay is comfortable. Make sure you call them well in advance as the rooms gets booked very fast during peak season. They also own other guest house by name Sonam and Pin Parvati, but I would personally recommend Tara Guest, which also have a cafe by same name.

Located in the middle of beautiful valley. Such a beautiful experience with the family. If you are visiting mud village at pin valley you must stay at tara guest house. Wonderful people, wonderful food and beautiful stay. And the view is not less than a dream.

I'd say Tara Homestay has to be the best place to stay in Mud Village which happens to be the most gorgeous location in the Pin Valley. The quality and comfort of the rooms- to go alongwith the cleanliness and location makes it one amazing place.

Sonamji is a great host and the family will be delighted to sit along with you over meals talking about their life there and enquiring about your life as well.

Though there is no mobile network in the village- not even BSNL, there is a satellite phone and luckily its at Tara Homestay where you can make calls back home.

For sure there are cheaper places around- but the view from the rooms and the overall experience will make your stay memorable considering that Mud Village is an absolute paradise to be in.

Situated at a calm & serene pin valley, 8 kms from Sagnam village. Offers a majestic view of the pin river and valley. Cozy, tidy and spacious bed room with necessary warm blankets. The main highlight of this resort is the warm behaviour of the hosts. They talked a lot with us telling about daily struggle of their lives. The dinner and breakfast are sumptuous and awesome. We tested the best pizza in our lives unexpectedly in this remotest of place.
Recommended. Visited in June 18.

I was on my third Spiti Circuit Road trip & stayed here for the night. Host is so nice with all.

If you visit Pin Valley, Tara Guest House is the best place to stay & have food. They serve almost all kind of food here.

During the stay we went for a short hike & himalayan red fox spotted by my friend.
